I especially appreciate his willingness to incorporate a few planter soaker add-ons on my back patio, and his offer to come back mid-summer for a checkup to make sure the lawn is getting the water it needs when the temperature is highest. 5-stars for Sean and the Acre Plus team! They were…read moreable to clean out a lot of mud/roots, etc. but were not able to get their snake more that 4 feet into the underground pipe, possibly because of some sort of T junction. We then went to plan B, which was to install a new underground pipe with a "popup" to disperse the water onto the driveway. The installation looks very good, but the true test will come when we have a heavy rainstorm. The reason why I gave only 4 stars was because of their arrival time. They had an arrival window of 12:00 noon - 4:00 pm but they showed up just after 10:00 am! Fortunately, we were available at that time (and not out walking the dog). My experience with most contractors is that they will call or text to let you know when they're on the way and give you an ETA - I received neither. Again, the quality of their work appears top-notch, but the lack of timely communication should be addressed.

After my first follow up, I was promised a proposal after he completed a couple others. I patiently waited and either called or texted about every three weeks and was ghosted. Vans Landscape to the rescue! Summarizing for those that…read moredon't like to read a lot - My experience with Van and his team were great! Van was clear in communication - we accomplished a lot via text messaging; they were fast in execution and implementation and amazing in clean up. I can easily, and heartily, recommend and refer Vans Landscape (vanslandscape.org)! About my tag line - I'm not exaggerating when I lead with 'to the rescue', let me provide some details for context ... I'd previously hired a different landscaping service to do some fairly major change, cleanup and renovation work for my small space. In the end, that other landscaper's description of the work, including rendered images of what the finished product was to look like - did NOT match the result. Enter the home owner's association ... where they reminded me that what they approved and what they saw - wasn't the same. Yeah - it was so bad that multiple neighbors and the HOA 'expressed concern'. I was feeling a bit overwhelmed, discouraged, disappointed. I'd just moved into my space a couple of months ago, all the hope and optimism that comes from moving into a new space, being a new home owner and looking to fit into the community. Yikes! How much would a correction cost me? Could I trust another landscaping service? How long would it take? How much would I be fined by the HOA? I took a couple of days to organize my thoughts, and began the search for another landscaping service and came across Vans Landscape. Van scheduled a time to visit my space. He patiently listened to my situation while we walked my small property. He kindly and respectfully offered some alternative suggestions. I had been so distracted by my disappointment and frustration with the situation, that Van's suggestions 'cut through' - they are much better looking and functioning solutions. Thank you, Van - I am grateful! In the end, I'm proud of how things now look. My small rock front yard has a clean, low and gradual, retaining wall that goes up the street, an extended retaining wall along a shared property line and some new arborvitae for privacy in my back patio - resolving concerns and issues for the front and giving me some privacy on my back patio! My neighbors have remarked that 'It (the retaining wall) is beautiful', 'Looks so much better', and 'Should we add them to the list for the HOA?' (Yes!) It may sound silly, but I did feel 'rescued' - someone helped me when I genuinely needed it; resolving my real issues, improving curb appeal, and resolving my neighbors and HOA concerns. My future plans include Van's ... When I'm done, and with HOA approval, I'll be asking Van to give me an estimate on my ideas. Again, my experience with Van and his team were great. I easily recommend and refer Vans Landscape (vanslandscape.org)** for your next project or for landscape maintenance as their attention and commitment to detail was made clear. **Yeah - I listed the site as there's a few Van's Landscape sites out there; I want you to have the one I used.

Their quote was fair and competitive -- ultimately I decided to move forward with someone who came directly recommended by a friend, but Van's pricing was absolutely in line with the market and within about $100 of my lowest quote out of five different providers I interviewed. The scope included a full spring cleanup of a heavily overgrown yard, including mowing, pruning, weeding, pressure washing, bark installation, and repairing a distressed gravel pathway. Their pricing was very much on par with the other companies I met - for that large service, as well as ongoing bi-weekly yard care. They were on time, responsive via text when confirming the verbal quote and providing additional pricing details, and overall very kind, transparent, and fair throughout the process. Even though I went a different direction for this particular project, I would absolutely feel comfortable recommending them in the future. The experience was easy, professional, and very competitively priced.

* HIGHLY RECOMMENDED * if you want to save time and money! :)…read more I sent out a service request with a few pictures for bids on leaf raking (front yard, back yard, side walk, driveway) around my mom's house. A&M was one of the first who responded and with a very competitive quote. There are providers who would only do in-person quotes which would waste a lot of my time if I were to have to drive there just for a bid. Some quotes are straight-up dishonest and overpriced. Compared to these, A&M stands out as the best option, and I've have no regrets hiring them! His crew came out and did a fantastic job without supervision! To summarize, A&M were able to deliver service that I'd consider efficient without wasting time going back-and-forth. - quote accurately and competitively based on pictures and details - quick and easy scheduling - effective messaging and communication - getting the job done - legit invoicing (through Intuit) I am definitely bookmarking A&M Landscape for my future needs.

He rather leave the job site early and can't be trusted to complete other tasks correctly. This has been ongoing for a very long time. Saltos was asked to hand prune our Rhododendrons to about 5 ft. Come to find out this is what they ended up doing as shown in the photos, hence the two star review. I reported this to the owner Jesus. Instead of receiving an apology, Jesus opted to discontinue services. Good riddance and a blessing! I ended up hiring a much better self-motivated and energetic landscapers who do not require supervision. They're fast, efficient, and work together do make sure the property looks good before they leave. I am so much happier. This is the way landscapers should be. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Saltos used to do a decent job, but the last years the quantity of work they do has dropped. I'm supposed to be getting two hours of service with a two man crew. Lately, I've only been getting two hours only when I'm home to give Oscar further instructions and to supervise. They consistently take off after mowing, edging, blowing and doing cleanup, which only takes about an hour of time. Most of the time they do a decent job cleaning. On occasion they would simply skip areas. Our property is not huge. The same crew has been maintaining our property since the start. They need to take more of an initiative to maintain our bushes and rhododendrons not using a hedge trimmer.

Our yard was a challenge, to say the least, full of weeds, an old lawn and a sprinkler system that needed updating. Tony came by, listened to what we wanted, and came up with a vision for how to make the yard beautiful, more efficient and with less maintenance. We were amazed at how hard he and his team worked each day. They cleared out the weeds, trimmed bushes and trees, prepared the old lawn with top soil and new seed, set up perimeter borders, replaced valves and set up sprinklers the right way to ensure exact coverage so that water isn't wasted. They spread new mulch and decorative rocks and gravel that helped map out the yard into defined areas. Tony has experience and it shows in the level of attention and detail. They also did an great job of cleanup afterwards. Landscaping is not cheap, and if done correctly, enhances your home value and makes you feel good to be in your back yard.
