It was a difficult decision deciding whether or not to leave a review, but since Mathnasium…read moreprovides services to children, I really feel compelled to share my experience. My son is only in kindergarten but loves math and asked if he could do an afterschool math class. It was not easy finding a facility that was willing to work with my son since he was so young--I quickly found that most programs start at 1st or 2nd grade. I made several calls telling each facility that we wanted to do once a week (no more!) and it was hard to find a match. Mathnasium Lake Forest called me and asked me to come in with my son to try it. I reiterated that I only wanted a once weekly class and said that if they couldn't do that, I would rather not come in. To make a long story short, Carlos insisted that we come in, and then he called me afterwards to give a hard sell on why we should sign up for twice weekly sessions. I was upset over this blatant bait and switch. It wasn't right to entice my child and use him to try to guilt me into paying double to go twice a week.
