They have added prison railings to the store to stop the criminals they wont grab and arrest. They are too afraid of being sued they dont stop crimes or even report them, but they added unsafe and horrible feeling railing systems, just another failure like the locking shopping carts. Humiliation experience today, 04/3/26 at 1 PM. I had to drive to different Safeways to buy the vodka bottle cuz of language barriers; the employee at Safeways (3305) was unwilling to explain why he took my vodka bottle away after I showed him my license. He never gave me a reason why. I showed the sign "I am Deaf" so clearly. He seemed not to care and just kept working. He had me finish buying the mixer against my will. It really humiliated me. Other employees were friendly, but one employee at the self-checkout did ableism. read more

I believe this particular Safeway deserves more than one star; however, the white haired woman behind the customer service/Lotto counter leaves a lot to be desired. - She never acknowledges your presence unless you interact with her first - When you do, her facial expression lets you know you've "interrupted" her - She has never been friendly, cheerful or courteous towards me - Never seen her smile - I always walk away from her feeling annoyed. :( On a positive note: I do love the floral section, the cashiers are pleasant to interact with, and the employees on the floor are always kind and helpful. read more

This location has gone downhill. Expired cheeses and foods. Poor service. Crappy parking lot. Short on selection and unfriendly staff. One of my biggest pet peeves at this store is the game of "did you notice my discount sticker" game. The game where the checker obviously sees the discount but ignores it because typing in a code to give you said advertised discount is a bother. Another one of my favorite games? Just today had the pleasure of having my produce ruined before I even got home! Bagger lady thought to herself: "hmmm... I should put these delicate bananas under as much heavy stuff as possible. How about I put a pineapple and 3lb bag of apples on top of them. I bet those bananas will be just fine. Now where should i put this avocado? Hmmm... what other heavy stuff can I find." Long story short, my produce is bruised and ruined. I called the store and while the store manager offered to replace my produce, at that point it isn't worth it to me to even return to this store, period. I like the Safeway on 176th and Canyon better then this one, this one seems very compact and not as clean as I've seen other Safeway's. The checkers also seem slower here, and the manager that opened a lane failed to give me the receipt. read more

If I could rate this place a ZERO I would . I tried to get a hold of corporate to report this innocent but they did not pick up so my last option is to write a review and hopefully someone reach out and Handel this. I was embarrassed and basically harassed by my own identity. The lady that was at the cash register was very rude. She was small and pale skin. Her ethnicity was Chamorro I believe. Her name was jasmine as to what it said on her name tag. She was Very rude, racist and unprofessional. Out off all the times I've shopped there never have I got questioned about my identity. Safeway's needs to hire better employees who don't cop attitudes and who aren't lazy. She also didn't have a mask on while taking my service. She was slaccin off along with other employees. Let me start by saying I love Safeway. It's my go to grocery store. Almost every time I come into this store there's only two registers open, which is kind of okay, not my complaint! BUT when the main register is mad backed up & the 15 items or less line is NON existent there is no reason why you shouldn't be able scan my 14 items and send me on my happy way. BUT No that's not the case, there is an African American cashier that works here who is just upright rude, every-single-time. I always try to avoid her at all cost because of this, but today she had no line so I figured why not? She didn't even give me a moment to place my items on the belt before telling me that "you have more than 15 items you need to go to the other register" mind you there's like 5 people in line there already. I left the store with 14 items, 14. Not 15, not 16. But 14. My cart may have looked like I had more in there but I didn't. I really don't appreciate today's experience. read more

I've shopped at this supermarket for years, as of a few months ago it underwent new management. Noticeable changes have been made such as the cleanliness of the store itself which is necessary considering what is being sold. However, I've never had an issue with rude associates or long waits in this store nor, more importantly, outdated food. It's not fancy but it's clean, the staff are friendly and the food is fresh. read more

There are a few employees who seriously need to get their head in the game. I was at the Starbucks at this location and there were two people working. One person was cashiering and making the drinks, and the other employee was doing dishes. While the person making the drinks was busy with the previous customer, the person doing the dishes didn't bother to stop and help me, and I was standing there for quite a a while before I was helped. I was also there a couple weeks ago, and had bought some food in the deli department. The clerk refused to ring me up because there were other customers waiting. Which to me was completely rude. Okay, so ALL of the Safeways that I've gone in have the same routine....friendly, smiling faces, helpful attitudes.....I just wish their prices matched all that!! Sometimes they do..but more than not....they don't!! If you read the review about Fred Meyer on my page...you'll see that I was trying to turn in a roll of quarters and THEY refused, but the gal at Safeway said-"sure no problem...here ya go"(as she handed me a $10 bill). This is specifically about Sabrina in the Floral Department. She just repeated as my go-to floral designer. After providing flowers for our wedding last year, she scored again with a gorgeous anniversary bouquet. There are other specialty florists around here, but I have no need to pay their premium or put up with their attitudes. I bought 7 Tillamook Greek yogurt on Jan 2, 2017. 6 expired on Jan 8 and 1 expired on the 7th. On Jan 3, I opened the blackberry whole milk that expired on the 7th. It had some mold on it. I have opened two 2% strawberry and they were okay. I was already a little apprehensive about the close expiration dates. Now I am more apprehensive and will check them closely before consumption. read more

Very disappointed! I just visited the Deli and ended up leaving due to horrible customer service. Sad because I often take my mother there for a Veggie sandwich that she enjoys immensely I am just glad she wasn't with me this time. I was ignored for almost five minutes while they talked back and forth through the window to the back and weighed things. Also, I wasn't the only one a man and his two children waited a bit got tired of waiting and walked away. I said excuse me twice to get her attention then had to raise my voice the third time to get her attention when she came back out front because she was heading to the back for the third time. Then when she finally came over she told me she didn't see me. Truth be told she really wasn't looking. Her attitude was flippant and when she took my order she didn't even ask what type of bread I wanted. When I told her I wanted it made on their flat breads she told me they don't have that and pulled out another type of hoggie roll bread. I guess her coworker/boss could tell I was upset and came over to see why and I explained. She was very nice about it but I was so upset by the service I lost my appetite. I love this store and the deli but the next time I go there if she is working I will not eat there. I am not naming names but her boss knows who she is so I hope the problem gets resolved. This is the first time I have been so upset I felt I need to Yelp. I would give the store four stars if not for this experience. read more
