Slowest service in town. Each check out line can get up to 20-25customers at peak times like right now 6:30-7pm.. just keep that in mind!!!

The employees are consistently friendly, and the food is always fresh. We especially love their yogurt selection and all the fun snacks we always bring back home to Hawaii whenever we visit. I also wanted to give a special thank you to Felicia, who truly went above and beyond for my daughter, Chlea. We had been trying for a while to get one of the limited summer mini tote bags, but every time we came in, they were already sold out. One day we met Felicia, and after hearing about it, she kindly told my daughter she would try to save one for her. As a busy mom with a toddler, it took us several days before we could make it back to the store. What amazed me was that Felicia actually remembered us. She had even written Chlea's name on the bag she had set aside. The smile on my daughter's face when she finally received it was absolutely priceless. It wasn't just about the bag. It was the kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine care that Felicia showed. Moments like that leave a lasting impression, especially on a child. Thank you, Felicia, for making our visit so special. Team members like you are a big reason why we love shopping at Trader Joe's. We truly appreciate your kindness, and we'll always remember this experience. The Trader Joe's (aka Trader's Joe) tote bag is the ultimate pasalubong for 2026. It's the current…read moretreasured item in the balikbayan box. If someone in the barangay is walking around with one, they know it came from the US. That's how strong consumer influence is. The tote bag line tends to be longer in Federal Way and Kent. This is not surprising since Filipinos have lived in the south end (Algona, Auburn, and Kent) since the early 1900s. The community has grown since then. Everyone has a reason for standing in line. The bag drops are cultural moments. It's someone is sacrificing their time for the elders. It's a reunion of friends and family. It's having conversations with strangers. It's a social event. I've witnessed it, experienced it, and embraced it. The two employees managed the mini tote bag distribution pretty well. An excited ajumma tried to grab the bags Black Friday style. The first employee went into linebacker mode and protected the bags but also themselves. The secondary employee politely and respectfully spoke with the customer in their native language. I'm guessing the conversation was about the process because the customer paused and listened to him attentively. I'm surprised there isn't a TJ's in Renton or Southcenter. Just like in football, this is a missed opportunity. If I were living in a state or country that didn't have a TJ's, I'd do a shopping haul before getting on the plane at Sea-Tac.

It's just okay here unless you come for the cheap fuel and use your reward card (any Kroger issued…read morereward card that gets you fuel points) City Market, Kind Sooper, Kroger, Fred Meyer, QFC and there are others from out of state. I've found the only thing a good deal here is the Chocolate Milk that I've posted in the photos for this profile. First one is $1.99 but the bottle return with a replacement purchase ends up being $1.95 so you only pay .05 cents for the next round of this delicious drink. Outside of the choco-milk, they charge a little more overall then if you were to hit their sister Kroger store Fred Meyer, so I will do most of my normal shopping at F/M. This store is clean. It's not a very large store, but it's good enough to serve the Northshore neighboring community. I've found their staff to be friendly except one guy in the hot deli department. One of my visits he came off rather abrupt and rude but everyone else was nice, so maybe he was having a bad day. I haven't seen him in a while. I'll be back!

I went shopping at Valley Harvest Foods on Military Road in Auburn and noticed the Mexican…read morerestaurant inside the market with a casual appeal, a fairly decent dining area and a cafeteria-style counter. The service was friendly. After checking out their salsa bar, we took a chance and ordered the Chile Rellenos, a 3 Taco Combination Plate with Asada, Pollo, and Pastor, along with Chips and Salsa and a Piña drink. Their food reminded me of a family-run restaurant with authentic street food taste. The chips and salsa were fresh and made a great starter. The salsa was flavorful. They don't pull back on the heat which is perfect. We also tried the Piña drink, which was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. The Chile Rellenos did not disappoint. The pepper was tender, good amount of cheese filling and their tomato sauce paired well. The 3 Taco Combination Plate was the highlight of the meal. The meats were flavorful, the rice and beans was traditional and everything paired well with the salsa from the bar. I was so impressed with their table side service. This is truly a hidden gem and the prices are on par with other area restaurants. I definitely enjoyed the experience which was amplified with a World Cup football game on TV, a small cheering squad and would highly recommend this spot.
