Have shopped at Safeway for at Auburn Safeway (Auburn Wy North) and find this store now slipping in their service to the customer rapidly over the last 2 years. Long self check out lines with only 1 attended lane open to those with more than 15 items in the cart. Been slowly shifting my business over to Walmart where carts are in decent shape and my wait times are significantly shorter, not to mention most of the departments are cleaner and more open and fluid to maneuver. read more

We regularly go to this Safeway. It's our go to grocery store and all the staff's amazing there. They have always been helpful and accommodating when I needed it. We usually can find good produce and fresh meat options there (sometimes it's dependent on time of year though). The only down falls might be the checkout area can get congested and there's sometimes not the nicest loiterers right out side the store. read more

I love this store, but I fucking hate almost all the Starbucks workers lol y'all get paid $16 an hour to be thinking and acting like yall are the CEO's of Starbucks!! Needed to pick up some bbq items, so went to Safeway which was close by and seeing that I have not ever been to Safeway, I figured I'd check out the grocery store. Upon entering, plenty of carts were available, and they also have a Starbucks inside. (Will check it out next time) The store was well organized,clean and prices were average. The only complaint I would have is the self check out area wasn't working properly and lights for an attendant kept going off, I had a problem twice and finally after 25 minutes the attendant decided to take me up front to get me checked out and out of there. Ordered a cake for my sister's birthday. I brought in a picture of her face and asked for a simple, "Happy Birthday Mo" on it. I had a pickup for 3 days later. I get there and open the cake box and not only is it my sister's picture but a homecoming picture of a couple I do not know. One that is inappropriate for these kids to be on some random persons cake and two, my sister's cake that I pick up 2 hours before the party is completely messed up. This review is specifically for the bakery staff which is amazing every time. My family has a few allergy considerations and food restrictions and the bakery staff patiently reviewed every label for our family occasion birthday cakes. Shopping on a Sunday late afternoon is usually stressful however coming here was nice, was not very busy and they had a nice variety of everything. I was looking for snack ziplock bags which they did not have. Service was nice and polite, the bag guy offered assistance to my car which I declined politely. I do miss having an Albertsons store in Federal Way. I downloaded their app and did get some really good bargains. They manage to promote throughout the store to catch your eye and at checkout I registered my number to get the discount and rewards. read more

Workers are overwhelmed. Every time we come in, customer service is slow. Lines are huge. Workers running back and forth to help customers , manager looks frustrated by all the work. Safeway is my regular store in bonney lake , and I have never experienced such service there. I think they need to hire more personal and get more help. read more

Honestly I rather shop somewhere else then here. The night shift people are no help the customer service needs to be better just like the other Safeways. I asked for help when I couldn't reach a product because it was at the way back of the top shelf and I asked the employee for some help and he said he couldn't help me because there was no one that could cover him at self scan even though no one was in the store. Then I walked around the store and I had customers come up to me for help with finding some stuff they were looking for because the employees weren't any help. Just because the store in the neighborhood don't mean you can enjoy spending money in your community. During the day is comfortable to shop but some evenings it can get pretty interesting with the characters that decide to shop late. Lines are usually long and not enough checkers. Over-priced, dirty store. But, main issue I have is the unfriendly staff. I encountered several employees that didn't smile. The cashier wasn't engaging in any conversation and quite frankly, clearly seemed to hate his job. We went to this Safeway to find some good cheeses and their specialty cheese selection was basically non-existent. It's a huge store with plenty of room in their deli. They need to get with the rest of the world on this, EVERY good grocery store has a good selection of cheeses except this one. I just don't get it. read more

She was efficient, personable (patient even when I messed up with the electronic payment and had to start over again!), and super helpful. A lot of the workers here seem like they hate life. Old ass bitter mean lady's. I had bought some balloons and after I paid I asked for 2 paper bags, the lady said she'd need to charge me 10 cents per bag. I didn't have any cash and there was like 3 ple behind me. She accidently rang up 3 bags and was trying to void it. I finally found 2 quarters and told her to keep the change so the people behind me could go....they still had to wait because she did something stupid to the register. Petty. Cheap. Wasteful. The one who always decks herself out with bright eyeshadow that makes her Gray ass hair look even dimmer. I gave 2 stars because the baggers are decent. This is a very clean Albertson's store, the bakery though must let everyone know that they like Safeway and Fred Meyers dont make their stuff there, they have a centralized Bakery, and ship everything to stores frozen- including doughnuts. The service here is outstanding in regards grocery stores, the parking is good, and its easy getting in and out of the lot. Overall, the prices here are reasonable, not the cheapest in town but you can get good prices here. I would most certainly recommend this store if you're looking for a grocery store in Auburn. read more

This is not by far my most favorite Albersons. It's on the smaller side and they do not have a large (if any) organics section. I was just there the other night, I was at the deli around 7:00 and the whole time I had to listen to the sales associate gripe to their co-worker of how he couldn't get anything done because people keep coming and so forth. We don't buy a lot at Albertson's, since their prices are higher. But, their customer service is awesome! Twice now, they haven't doubted me. First, my husband paid for ice and forgot to get it. So, I stopped by on my way home from work and told them what happened. The cashier went and got me a bag instead of making me come back the next day w/my receipt. Second, my husband bought me a Snicker's Almond, but it got left out of his bag. This time, I had my receipt, but then lost it at our first stop (somewhere in Wal-Mart or the Wal-Mart parking lot). When we don't wanna drive any further than 10-20 minutes out of our area, and just need a few things, Albertsons is our best bet. Not to mention their sister markets with Safeway so we're still able to accumulate gas points without having to make an even further drive there. From the outside there's a big sign that says SAFEWAY, but it is indeed Albertsons lol. Also from the outside this place definitely gives off some "sketchy vibes". Let some of these reviews speak for themselves haha. Luckily we've only been here during late mornings/early afternoon hours so we haven't really gotten the full experience, except for one rare occasion. When Whodini said "the freaks come out at night" I think this place makes the cut. Just be weary and use caution when coming here when it's dark. There's definitely some questionable people and situations at play here. And like my family has always told us, if something doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't. Don't stay to find out why! Anyways back to my review. We only come here when we need the basic staples that we forgot to buy elsewhere, and usually quick stuff that we'll need at the last minute to prepare a meal. Let that be bread, to steak, to a quick dessert feen, Albertsons is it. I usually try my best to learn store layouts/where everything is to avoid having to bother employees as much as possible, but on one occasion I just could not find the paper towels. It took a solid 5 minutes or so for me to finally find someone, and they seemed too busy to be bothered. They had a cart of a bunch of random stuff which I assume were either go backs, or items that were damaged. Either way all I wanted to know is where the paper towels was, and in a short/mono tone they snapped quickly back "well did you check the paper goods isle?!"... Umm well yeah that's kind of why I'm asking you employee of this particular store, exactly where could they be. I am not one to take snotty customer service well, especially with me being your customer that helps keep you employed, and I will definitely serve it back in a respectful yet sassy way, though I may be small, mighty I am lmao! She then continues to push her cart further down the aisle putting items back, then says "I'll be with you in a moment". No thanks lady. Since you're too busy and incompetent, I'll do your job for you and find it myself no thanks to you. FYI paper towel rolls can be found near the toilet paper goods at the BACK END of the store. Lines can also become insanely busy especially when they only have self check out, and 1 regular cashier lane opened. Prices are a little bit higher here than other grocery stores, and customer service can either be a hit or a miss. We've had the pleasure of having a younger Caucasian woman ring us up on a handful of trips here thus far and always enjoy having her check us out. read more

The Albertsons has gone through a complete remodel which includes a Seahawks shop with Hawks gear. If you go in on Sun wearing Seahawks stuff you get a 10% discount on your purchase. The chicken is really good and they have even stepped up to like 4 different flavor chicken wings. Great selection on what you need. I see people talking about the self checkouts, they now have 4 fast lanes all together so it makes checking out fast. read more

The meat department manager told me today in his 30 year career he has never been asked to butterfly a turkey or chicken and didn't know how, or wouldn't know where to begin. Lazy or ignorant, wasn't even willing to look for instructions on you tube. And all his expensive Butterball fresh turkeys were frozen. So they are selling high priced FRESH turkeys that they have froze. Skip this meat department. read more

Great if you like seeing cockroaches in your neighborhood grocery store. My husband went literally next store from our house one morning for a gallon of milk. When he walked in, there were a few cockroaches on the floor running under displays. The milk was way overpriced, about a full dollar over what other places cost. Lines are too long, customer service sucks, and the cashiers are way too slow. You can stand in line for 10 minutes to buy one item, while the cashiers talk and chat amongst themselves. We live directly behind the store, and on a Saturday morning it took 30 minutes to go in and get 1 gallon of milk. Next time we will just drive across town to Fred Meyer and still get home sooner, plus have way better pricing and service. Also we once bought the family chicken dinner from their deli, which was disgusting. Covered in flies and looks like it never gets cleaned. The food was over dry and packed with salt. Never again. Now I know why they shut down the other one in the other side of Auburn. Who even needs an Albertsons.. disgusting. Department of health needs to come inspect this place before some one gets seriously ill. read more
