Waited 6 months for an "Externship Site" which I eventually didn't have to do because by that time I already got an MA position at a local hospital. IJS go else where and get your money's worth at a real school that will properly teach you the skills you need to keep your patients and yourself safe at a workplace. Not worth it!

We were really fortunate to find our birth doula (who we love!), but the other 2 candidates were not very impressive. The first doula missed our appointment with no follow-up communication. We were initially confused and thought she was the coordinator for BB, because she only communicated by text. The actual meeting was just by telephone so there was no face-to-face interaction, which felt strange. We could've easily FaceTimed or Zoomed. So communication and reliability were not great. The second doula abruptly canceled our half-hour appointment when we were 10 minutes late for a 30-minute appointment due to my husband wrapping up a Zoom meeting. During our appointment time, she was responding to my emails (in which I apologized for being late), but insisted she could no longer meet with us. I thought this was a really bad sign about what she would be like to work with - labor and delivery is rarely precisely timed and some flexibility is needed. In addition, her email said that she lives in Portola Valley, but we live Berkeley (also where Brilliant Births is located). This also struck me as strange, because it would take 1.5 hours for her to arrive to meet us at the hospital, which is not ideal.

Well, I should have known it was off because I ended up in a dead end near old warehouses and what seemed like a junk yard. I tried looking up the address again to map myself and it still lead me to the same junk yard area. It was not until I typed in "Safety Training Seminars" in google maps that it lead me somewhere else. It was 15 minutes from where I was at the time. I ended up arriving about 20 minutes late because of this address issues... The good thing is, I had my BLS and PALS back to back so it helped relax my mind about the time frame that I had. Upon arriving, it was easier to find most of the doors you can see from the parking lot. I opened the door and there you see, 2 stations right when you walk in and another station behind this small door. Overall, the place was quite small, though clean. I'd come back again when I have to renew my certs again. But definitely be mindful of the address when trying to find the place!

This was by far the worst experience I've ever had taking a CPR class in my life and truly think…read moreits a scam. There is no human being on site to help with the malfunctions, and everything that could've possibly gone wrong did- from not being able to get in the building with the lock box key, none of the manikins registering breaths after 45+ minutes of trying, the bag masks having holes in them, and customer support wanting to send me 30 minutes away to a different site after an hour of no solutions. I quite literally had to take apart the manikin, remove its parts, and piece it back together while on the phone with customer support twice. I hope leaving this review saves someone else from the experience I had, truly horrible.
