The…read moreinstructors here really all want you to succeed, they give you study materials to study for the state exam and one of the teachers even made us flashcards to study from (which was very helpful for me when i was trying to refresh memory for skills). When taking my skills exam i got to speak with students from other programs and noticed they were very unprepared and some were unaware for the materials they are going to be tested on. On the day of the class, we met in an auditorium with about 16 others; most of whom are new parents/parents-to-be like us. Anna had infant and child size dolls for us to practice on and she stressed the importance of muscle memory. We started with handling choking scenarios and then moved onto the CPR. Everyone had plenty of opportunities to practice and ask questions. I hope that we will never have to use the skills we learned in Anna's class but at the very least, it makes us feel more comfortable knowing what to do in case our baby needs us.
