Not a fan of having to go find out what is wrong with my phone... but I went to get it looked at…read moreand ended up having to get a new one. All my fault. Once I took my phone off the case, I realized it was jacked up by all the times I dropped it with a cheap case. I was helped. Great customer service visible from all the employees there for me and other customers. But my help came from Yaya. She was the bomb! Very understanding of me being not very tech-savvy... but she was exactly what I needed and convinced me to purchase a couple extra items that I obviously needed to avoid having to come back to a T-Mobile store because I jacked up another phone. She was awesome! Great experience. I'm from Jersey, so I won't drive all the up to Dedham for service, but I just hope to get similar service in Jersey if I need it. Thank you, YAYA!!! Rico

Today I visited the store to complete a warranty phone exchange. I arrived at 6:00 PM, two hours…read morebefore closing. An associate named Naten assisted me. When he opened the new device, it had only 15% battery, which slowed down the transfer process. At 7:45 PM, he informed me that the transfer was only at 40% and stated that because the store closes at 8:00 PM, my only options were to leave both phones overnight or cancel the transfer. He also said I needed to be out of the store by 8:00 PM and mentioned this instruction came from his supervisor. His tone was unprofessional and lacked empathy.I explained that I needed my old phone returned exactly as it was. He reactivated the SIM card and handed the phone back, leaving me with no solution. He advised me not to call customer service and suggested I return to the store another day to request a new warranty device and repeat the entire process. This resulted in two hours of wasted time. He did not communicate upfront that this could be the outcome, and he even mentioned the new phone might have an issue. Overall, the customer service was very poor, and I left extremely disappointed.I want to emphasize that I arrived two hours before closing, and my transfer was already in progress at 40%. I believe it is part of the job to ensure the process is completed once it has started, or at the very least to inform customers upfront if the process requires more than two hours. None of this was communicated to me when I arrived.

**A promised three-year price lock. A $100 gift card that never arrived. And one final bill after a…read moredrawn-out cancellation. That was my experience with Astound/RCN.** Their door-to-door representative promised internet for $30 a month, inclusive of all taxes and fees, locked in for three years, plus a $100 gift card. What followed was a year and a half of rising bills, repeated calls, and unfulfilled promises. Within the first few months, additional charges began appearing. By around six months, the promised $30 monthly total was climbing. Eventually, my bill reached approximately $51.60--with the internet service itself listed at just $21 and the remaining $30-plus attributed to taxes and fees. Every time I questioned the increases, I heard the same explanation: "It's not us--it's taxes and fees." What value does an all-inclusive price guarantee have if the total keeps increasing? As for the $100 gift card, I called repeatedly. Each time, I was told it was being sent. It never arrived. The cancellation experience was the final insult. I first called on September 20 to cancel. I was asked to give them a couple of days while someone got back to me. My cancellation was finally completed on September 23--after their billing-cycle cutoff on September 21--and I was charged another approximately $51.60 for a full billing cycle. I contacted them before the cutoff, waited at their request, and ended up with another full bill. That is an outrageous way to treat a departing customer. Then came calls from supervisors offering deals to persuade me to stay. Where was that willingness to help when I was repeatedly questioning my bills and asking for the gift card I had been promised? **To me, this was deception: a sales promise that bore little resemblance to the actual experience.** Astound/RCN lost my trust through rising charges, repeated assurances that led nowhere, and a deeply frustrating cancellation process. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering their service to get every promise in writing--and scrutinize the cancellation terms just as carefully as the advertised price.
