Vehicle 200, Commercial License 1426, Fleet plate 20728FLA. Coors and Montano, and Coors and Paseo Del Norte intersections.
It started at Coors and Namaste/Western Trail. The light turned green, the car in front of me started slowly, the van behind me started honking, tailgating my motorcycle. I gave him the bird, made my way through traffic away from him, putting space and vehicles between myself and an obviously aggressive and angry driver.
As I sit in my lane, at the Coors and Montaño light. The above vehicle pulled up, in the lane next to me and yelled something at me. He then stopped. The video shows he yelled "What?" No blinker, just a guy in a company truck yelling at people on motorcycles, and creeping up on the vehicle in front of him.
The light changed to green, and as soon as I started rolling he tried to hit me with his van -- again, video. No turn signal, nothing but lurching his vehicle from his central lane to my right-hand lane, and right at me, as I begin pulling forward. I pulled around the driver, he lurched his vehicle at me to hit me, again. It appears that he made contact with my pannier/saddle bag, based on the scrapes I saw after I parked. I'm not sure if it was the first or second time he tried to hit me, as I was pulling away from a red light.
He started honking at me, just riding his horn and tailgating, as I drove forward, vehicle in front of me. I 'waved' at him again, both hands this time, to let him know I heard and understood his concerns, but that I simply didn't care after he tried to hit a motorcyclist, in rush-hour traffic. Twice.
He then sped up, driving in the shoulder, and swerved at me. I accelerated to avoid collision, got around a number of vehicles AGAIN, to put some space and vehicles between us, and continued on.
2.7 miles later, he had weaved through traffic, and pulled up next to me again, where he started yelling at me, insulting me, threatening me.
It was a red light, I put my kickstand down, walked behind the vehicle, still recording with both my Bike and Helmet camera. When I got behind his vehicle, he put it in reverse, backed rapidly in the right of way, to again try to hit me with his vehicle. I told him very plainly that I wish he would have hit me, because I would have sued him. I got back on my bike, the light turned, and I continued on.
He pulled in behind me AGAIN, and started laying on his horn AGAIN. Trying to force me to make a dangerous left-hand turn in front of oncoming traffic. It appeared he was following me to confront me. When I pulled into the parking lot, he finally decided to go do his job.
