I was told by the dealer that I needed a new rear windshield because the defroster wasn't working. As it turns out, Safelite said it was just a tab on the electronics that needed glued down to make the connection. There was nothing actually wrong with the defrosting mechanism itself. I am very grateful I did not have to purchase a new rear windshield, it saved me a considerable amount of money that I didn't have to spend. I did replace the front windshield as it has a crack in it from interstate driving in Ohio. It was very reasonable and does the job. Nearly Impossible to speak to an actual human being when you call the customer service number. The number that you are given through a website search is actually a call center where you have to jump through a series of hoops before you can get to speak to an actual human being. If you think proof of customer service is shown by dealing with layers of AI, this is the place for you. read more

So took my vehicle to safelight to get a windshield replacement as they are the preferred easy provider of my insurance Liberty Mutual. They apparently have this new policy if they see any bubbles/rust they won't fix it unless they grind your car. So Reds Auto will get my business. In January I needed to get my windshield replaced as it had a bad crack. Safelite did the replacement and failed to put the windshield cowl back in place properly. I would have never noticed the mistake until I got a new chip that needed to be filled. Thankfully the person I used to fill the chip alerted me of the issue and fixed safelites mistake. With how much they charge, I as a customer should have peace of mind that they put everything back correctly and did the proper job. In this current environment of finding and keeping employees while trying to run a business, this was an excellent experience. i dropped my truck off, with a large crack in the windshield, at 8am. While doing some errands, I was able to check in on the progress via the text sent to me. I picked it up about 2.5 hours later noting it would take longer do to the recalibration process. I'm not someone to ever leave a negative review but after this experience it was a legit headache!! Made an appointment with Safelite three months ago had multiple appointments scheduled just for them to cancel without a phone call only a text that my appointment was canceled no explanation. I finally got ahold of them made a new appointment that they promised would be able to perform the service that the windshield would be received from ordering just for them to call me The morning of my appointment to say that they were not able to perform the service that day because inventory was not taken for the windshield yet. I had to keep calling to make sure that my order was not forgotten about finally when they came out to replace my windshield they were not able to re-calibrate it causing me to put more time aside to have the windshield calibrated by the dealership! So today arriving to the dealership to have them re-calibrate my windshield Safelite Justin or Jason was supposed to call to have the payment taken care of due to Safelite being paid in full for the service. just to be told by the dealership that they did not call and take care of it so I had to call them wait for them to call back then they called the dealership and the dealership had to call them back after the recalibration service was complete resulting in me having to wait 30 min longer after already sitting there for an hour for the windshield to be recalibrated. Especially with my time being wasted multiple different occasions needing to reschedule my work And missing out on time. On top of all of this the windows were left with suction marks all over them just thankful to be able to wipe my hands clean of the whole situation after today!!!! read more

Ok, I tried to give them 2 stars but couldn't. The first installation was terrible. First the tech broke my hood release latch, never had a problem opening my hood btw. There were two blurs in the glass, on the driver's side non other. The tech who installed it didnt notice the Blurs", couldn't get the plastic moulding back over the wipers into the original location. This was April 17th, 2019. A week later, another windshield another tech, he was great, fixed the first techs mess ups and had no issues. Today is June 14th, 2019 and I finally got my latch today!!! Guess what...they sent they wrong latch. Back to training for these guys. I added a pic of them questioning me on the year of my own car, they s as I'd are you sure it's a 2007?? When the technician started the process he mentioned the unlikely possibility that the chip would get worse and turn into a crack & they are not liable. Well that is exactly what happened. Customer service could of cared less. So their only job is to fix windshields, but they are aloud to make the problem worse & not be responsible They pay a lot for advertising but do not do quality work. Chose another company! read more

My technician, Keith, was communicative, prompt, and efficient. He arrived at my apartment, explained what he was going to do, worked quickly, and then gave me instruction on the care of my new windshield. The only complaint I have is that my insurance company was not consulted prior to the appointment. I was charged $360 out of pocket and then I personally had to contact my insurance rep and ask for a reimbursement. This was disappointing because I was told that my insurance would be contacted before my appointment. Secondly, my windshield chipped about 6 days after my appointment. Whether this is the fault of unkept highways or the product that Safelite provided was not of quality, I cannot say. read more

We had to get our windshield replaced and it was so easy to schedule our appointment online through their website. We decide to go to them instead of them coming to us. You are able to know the exact amount it would cost by the end of the scheduling process and approximately how long it may take to work on your car. When it gets close to your appointment date they send an e-mail to confirm with a picture of the manager. When we went to our appointment we got there 15 minutes early, our time was set for when they first open at 8am. We saw a safelite van pull in and not even a minute later the man who drove the van came up to greet us. He had us checked in before they were even open instead of making us wait. He was so friendly. He told us it would take about 1-1 1/2 hours and asked if we would be waiting for it. We said we were going to get some breakfast and come back for it. When we returned about an hour later it was waiting for us in the parking lot. I love how he estimated more time than it would take instead of giving us a lesser estimate and making us wait longer. We are definitely returning here if we ever need to get work done again. read more

On a Weekend Vacation we traveled to Virginia. Unfortunately on our way there we had something come out of a garbage truck and hit our windshield. Luckily it was small & just a little crack. Came in to get my windshield replaced that a dealership cracked while unclogging moonroof drain. They not only cracked the windshield they also broke the pillar. A recent hail storm put a dimple in my windshield, which spidered out to cover a large portion of the driver's side. Because of the size of the damage, a full replacement was necesssary. I had an appointment scheduled. My window was from 8-12pm. The tech called me in the morning stating that he was booked solid that morning and would not be able to make it during the times listed. I told him as long as I was able to drive the car at a certain time that it was fine if he came a little later. He finally showed up shortly before I had to leave and stated that it looked like it might rain and that I would need to reschedule.
