They called two hours before the appointment to cancel, saying I need to bring it in to their shop AND they don't have the glass today. Last Friday (Feb 28), I brought my 2022 Toyota Tundra in for a windshield replacement. Prior to the replacement, all safety systems on the vehicle were functioning normally. After the installation, the technician informed me the glass ordered was not a Toyota OEM windshield and the vehicle's safety systems could not be calibrated as a result. I was told I would need to return once an OEM windshield was ordered and approved through insurance. For the past week my truck has been operating without key safety features such as lane assist and other driver safety systems. This is extremely concerning, particularly because I have a 4 month old baby who rides in this vehicle daily, and we are currently driving in winter conditions here in New England. Yesterday I spent significant time contacting Safelite and my insurance company trying to determine why the correct windshield had not yet been approved or scheduled. Today (March 6) I arrived for my 8:00 AM after receiving a Conformation call the night before, confirming my appointment. I used a second day of PTO from work to do so. I sat in the waiting room for approximately 40 minutes before noticing my truck had been moved back outside into the parking lot without being worked on. No one came out to speak with me. Instead techs and staff hung out in the shop bays joking and a few outside were shoveling some snow. When I approached the desk, I was told the windshield had never been delivered. This situation is extremely frustrating because: * The original installer at safelite used glass that could not be calibrated * I was scheduled for an appointment despite the glass not being available and was called to confirm my appointment the night before * No one notified me before the appointment my glass was not onsite * No one informed me while I was waiting in the store that my glass was not on-site. They let me sit there wondering why my truck was moved back to the lot. * I have now used multiple days of PTO due to this issue Most importantly, my vehicle has been left without critical safety features for over a week, while transporting my 4 month old child, due solely to the original installation error. Also, the office window is not sound proof. Every phone call, and almost every person that leaves that building, has a negative comment made about them for the rest of the waiting room to hear. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. Called 3 weeks ago to schedule glass replacement. Had an appointment scheduled. Called me the day before the appointment to tell me they didn't have the glass in stock. Rescheduled. Called me the day before the rscheduled appointment to tell me they didn't realize car was a convertible. They cannot do convertible on site. It has to be brought into shop. I said fine. No problem. They told me they didn't actually have any appointments for another week. Rescheduled again. Called me the day before my rescheduled, rescheduled appointment to tell me the broke the glass they got in and need to reschedule again another week out. Now I am stuck driving the car on vacation with a broken windshield because they cannot get it in before I leave. What a joke!!!! Stay far away from these clowns. read more

If you like dropping your car off to a technician that supposedly has 20 years of experience only to get your six month old car back incorrectly assembled, and/or having pieces missing when you get it back, especially push clips and fasteners, then this is the branch to go to! Nothing says quality install like making at least two to three trips back to have a repair, repaired on two separate occasions with two separate vehicles; or having a 14 year field technician from this branch leave at least half of the screws out and the windshield brackets loose, requiring him to turn around, drive back and proceed to blast them in with an impact gun, stripping every single screw out. Good luck getting a hold of anyone at this branch. It's next to impossible. Even corporate can't get through on any line. I've been waiting three weeks for a call back about trim that was incorrectly assembled on my vehicle requiring yet another return trip. They just don't care. Safelite in its entirety is just a mess from the bottom to corporate. I'd recommend going to Westford glass or JR glass. Anywhere but here. read more

Heading out on errands I noticed that our Equinox windshield had a good size crack on the passenger side down by the wiper blade? I called our insurance company that recommended a couple of glass repair companies. One was Safelite Glass which we used prior and I was satisfied with them. Couple days later Jonathan came out to do the work. Since I was outside I asked him if I could stay working on my law. I said I won't bother you . He was nice and said sure no problem and got underway. I didn't tell Jon that I new quite a lot about the glass repair business and I definitely didn't want to bother him . He got going setting up and was all business but surprisingly talkative. I know many repair guys. They rightly want to be alone. Jonathan was awesome to watch. He was neat and quick. He's the best Installer I've ever seen... He was a "MASTER". This is my Professional opinion as I was Director of Auto Glass Sales for an excellent company in New England long ago. i got my windshield replaced. Before they left called me out of work to tell me the mirror was broken before and he tried to glue it up but it didn't work. they were going to replace it with one that was not compatible with my car until i said no i want the auto dim one my car has. i understand things happen but i need a mirror so i said id order one because i cant wait around for them to get around to it i drive 2 hrs each way to work and home. I called customer service the day of the replacement told them i would like a new mirror reimbursement. then for the next 2 months i called multiple times a week with no call backs every time i called i was told it was forwarded to a manager and it was escalated multiple times. 2 months of this! for them to never call me back after being told i would get a call back every time i called in. then they decide 2 months later they wont replace he mirror and that i was notified to which i informed them i have never gotten one call back no i was not notified. and requested a manager call and still nothing worst Customer service ever do not go here they will never call you back if you have issues management is horrible!! read more

I scheduled service for my car a week ago and took the day off to make sure the car is available for repair. They were a no-show and no-call, so I thought they will be back the following day. Mind you, they text me a dozen times reminding me about the appointment and how I need to replace the wipers for $60! A week later, my order is still in limbo, the manager Paul was told to call me and update me about my order, but guess what he never did. I called their 800 number, and it was confusing as hell! Press this, press that and no help! The chat representative told me there is a part on order and we do not know when your order will be complete. Finally, I tried Chat and was told to call the number again and they hang up on me. It is Groundhog day every day at this company! Take my advice, use another company, this one got too big, too quick and apparently, customer service is not a priority. They did not even earn a one-star review for glass replacement. read more

This place is terrible. They were very booked and it was hard to get in in the first place because they only give you a window of time instead of a specific time for your appointment and I am a busy mom who comes and goes all day everyday. Then I made an appointment and they didn't show but instead left me a message that ai would have to reschedule and come to them instead as they would no longer be going to the customer. This call came about an hour into my time window. Then when I tried to call to make that appointment they didn't answer the phone but i stead had an automated service that kept connecting me to my insurance to make a claim (which was already done). I hung up and called JR glass, who has always been great in the past and they came out and replaced my windshield the same week! Do yourself a favor and call JR Glass instead! read more

I called the Lunenburg location. The VM stated that the only way I could make an appointment was online. I jumped through all the online hoops and eventually scheduled an appt Saturday at 930 am. Saturday morning I get a call from my employee Josh, he's there and Safelite HAS NO IDEA what we're talking about. The receptionist did little to help other than say that the online scheduling is troublesome, they don't have the windshield in stock and that I can absolutely schedule with her. With my patience already running thin, I reluctantly say, okay let's reschedule. She proceeds to tell me that I need to call the 800 number to reschedule because of my online inquiry, which wasn't acknowledged. I give up!!! read more

Horrendous experience and I'm STILL waiting to get my windshield fixed. I have now had 5 appointment, 2 were no call no shows, and the other 3 had either the completely wrong equipment or defective. I used the website to schedule an appointment, On the website I was not given the option of having the windshield rather than fixing. The replacement would have been less money and I would have gone with the replacement as opposed to just fixing the windshield. The workman was absolutely wonderful and I will use Safelite again. read more

My windshield was hit by rocks falling off a dump truck on the highway and I made a appointment with Safelite on Massachusetts Ave. In Fitchburg Massachusetts and the earliest appointment I could get was 10 days away! Well on the day of the appointment 5/17/2022 ( today) I was informed they would arrive between 12 pm - 5 pm. Well at 12:30 I went on the website to see if they were on the way and to my surprise all of a sudden my appointment was changed to Thursday between 12-5 without a phone call , text or email!! Absolutely zero professional courtesy - how do you just change/ cancel a appointment without speaking to the customer!!?? Really!! What kind of business does this!? You don't even know if I'm available!! Just blows me away how unprofessional and incompetent Safelite is! There was a time when they were decent but obviously they no longer are. I would recommend going elsewhere for your auto glass replacement! To also note the lady at Safelite told me it's OK and safe to drive my vehicle with a cracked windshield with my 2 toddlers in my car!?!! Are you serious?? Please people do not even consider doing business with this pathetic place!! There are other places that will provide more passion and professionalism than this sad place! read more

Do not use these people!!!!!! I had a windshield replaced and the technician did not install my windshield correctly and he broke my antenna!!!!! He didn't even tell me my antenna was broken. I had to find out as I drove down the street and watch it roll down the sidewalk!!!!! Its been one month and I'm still waiting for my windshield and my antenna to be fixed!!!!!! Be very Leary of this particular Safelite. They won't do you any good!!!!! So now I have since had my antenna replaced 3 weeks ago. I was told I would be reimbursed. Finally getting around to follow up my review. The mgr at Safelite Fitchburg Ma contacted me and told me the part was on order. He/we were both surprised to find they (Ford) had the part in stock and he was able to get me in within the week I drove my car right in and he began to work on fixing the broken part.We were talking as he was removing and replacing the cowl.So short of it is they made good of an honest mistake. Awful. Never called back, never followed up. Had an appointment on Saturday, they canceled, I had to call three times for them to reschedule. I had to go in on the following Tuesday for them to look at my windshield when I could have just given them my vin #, said they were going to call me back to make sure they have my windshield for the make and model of the car and they NEVER did. Had to call them back a couple days later, and they still never looked up which windshield was appropriate for my car. Don't go here if you want people to actually follow with you up and give you good customer service. read more
