I have went in there 3 times to get a quote, schedule, and then try to schedule again. They have no direct number to call. So the only way to talk to a person is to go in. I have a tinted, defrost, power middle window on an f250 truck that was broke out. Nothing special, but getting anyone to get help to get this taken care of is beyond ridiculous. I honestly was pleased at first. First attempt at my home tech ripped rear view mirror off and cut his hand. Felt sorry for him but they wanted to put me off for a week, I said " absolutely not, my windshield is compromised" and they scheduled within a day. Then all was fine till we got lots of rain and my passenger side flooded. Went to shop and they said it was sunroof drains plugged. Went home pulled everything off so I could see where water was coming from and the tube was hanging allowing water to run down to floor board. Honestly felt it got pulled when installing windshield since drain tube run along side. Took it in again and said no way we're they responsible. Ive had this car for 14 years bought new. First windshield replacement and never a leak whatsoever. I don't feel this was just a coincidence. No accountability, very disappointing read more

Oh hell no!!! They repaired our back window but in the processes ripped off huge sections of the paint! They are impossible to get ahold of and if you're lucky enough to get an answer when you call, they promise to get back to you and then don't. I do not usually post reviews, but felt I should in this case. The service I received from this Safelite was a lot better than I expected from the reviews posted. Very professional and helpful attention for replacing my windshield in my 28 year old chevy pick up. Ayla in the front office was able to track down a previous work order and straighten things out. She even called me back with the update. They do answer the phone if you have more questions. My technician did an outstanding job on the replacement, and even cleaned my interior windows. I went in to get a rear side window replaced. They had a great deal to apply Rain Defense on my front windshield and replace the wipers. The Rain Defense left smears on my windshield that was a safety hazard when it was raining. They asked me to bring in my own white vinegar so they could try to remove the stuff. They were unsuccessful. Two people said this would be under warranty but someone called and said since they didn't install the windshield it is not under warranty. So they ruin my Tesla windshield and they're sorry? I was told I would get a refund for the wipers (that were horrible btw, didn't even cover the whole windshield) and crap they put on. They lied. I pulled up at their shop maybe an hour before my scheduled appointment. they were very welcoming and even suggested a restaurant up the way while waited for the work to be done to my car. originally they told me it could take up to 3 hours.. but my guy Chayse was not messing around. by the time I finished my meal I came back to the finished product. maybe an hour, hour and a half tops. it was awesome and I was able to get back on the road to enjoy the rest of my vacation. thank you chayse and your whole team. read more

Had an appointment between 12pm and 5pm and they showed up at 6:30pm and still couldn't do the installation because they forgot parts. I had to call and reschedule (after they said they'd call me) and they were a complete no show. Calling their customer service line got me no where. I requested a call back, and instead I got a cheery automated message that they have changed my schedule to an even wider time slot of 8am to 5pm tomorrow, when I won't even be around. Yeah not happy with safelight if I could give no stars I would. Safelight lost our bussiness they had 3 times had 3 chances to fix window and they have trouble getting the part and manufacturer. I waited around for the appointment this morning/afternoon 8/9/24 missed my exercise class in the process yet they canceled my appointment but no one informed me that they canceled the appointment. Paid 250 deductible now hotta get refunded and they still don't have work completed. just put plastic over window and can't get anyone on phone really when you call. Bad customer service It's been way over a month for my window to be fixed. I mean my car isn't a specialty car one in 100 made you had 3 chances to fix the window and get the part in. We won't be going with safelight in the future or recommending Safelight they lost our business. Our insurance recommended safelight but that was a mistake. Going with a company that can actually get the job done not make excuses, and have bad customer service. I don't know why safelight cannot get it together and just get the job done if it's pure laziness, or incompetent people, miscommunication or what is but with 3 chances to get the job done I'm sure you could have got the job done and completed. I'm sure the people doing glass replacement at this local store are all competent. We did notice a large amount of back and forth phone calls and texts in setting up a time for a mobile replacement tech to install the windshield. Upon his arrival seeing our Mercedes Benz CKL 500, he said he didn't have the tools to do this job and suggested we bring it in to the shop for 2-3 hours of work. "There are rain sensors built into our windshield that must be re-attached upon the windshield's replacement", he explained. So, we made an appointment for the following Monday. There, we learned that only certain qualified mechanics could do the work our replacement windshield required. We know the office was informed of the type of car, color of glass, etc. The mobile repairman had the correct windshield with him when he came to our house. If he saw the windshield, why did he come to our house, knowing he wasn't qualified for the job that needed an in-shop install? And, if it was an in-shop procedure, why wasn't the mobile tech notified by the office? While at the shop, beginning our 2-3 hour wait, another costumer told us this was the fourth time her windshield was being replace, the other three times either being the wrong type than what she ordered or, worse yet, a leaky replaced windshield. Nothing in our dealings with this company gave us any trust in how they would be handling our replacement. We stopped the install and chose another, smaller but better organized repair center. read more

Twice when we came to a scheduled appointment (we drove just shy of an hour to get there with 2 cars since you have to leave the vehicle there all day) only to be told that they couldn't replace the windshield because the tech that does the camera wasn't in. On the 3rd appointment they replaced the windshield but camera wasn't working, we were told that if it didn't reset after driving around a bit that we should come back. We scheduled an appointment, again driving 2 cars there only to be told that that the tech wasn't in. I had to go on my cross-country trip without the camera. I thought window repair was satisfactory until a few weeks later when I tried to roll down the window during a warm day & it almost fell out! Window was completely off track & was missing a bolt. After calling Safelite, I got the run around and they refused to assist me. Poor business practice - look elsewhere for proper window repair. read more

I have been driving around for about a month with a rock chip in my windshield and tomorrow here in the Portland area is going to be cold, wet, freezing rain and just down right awful. Knowing that I started to worry that the rock chip would splinter and ruin my windshield. I went to the office to see about getting it repaired and the nice man came out to look at it and found it was just sap! Now feeling dumb he laughed it off with me and went and got stuff to remove the sap and took the time to educate me on what I needed to concern myself about regarding rock chips and my windows and what would compromise it!! Being a woman who didn't know better I appreciated them educating me with humor and not contempt as well as not charging me for unnecessary items-- no cost for sap clean up and a great experience! I drive by this business on my way home from work every day so I decided just to drop by on my way home to make an appointment. My car was left in 4 wheel drive and a previously working blinker no longer functions properly. Hmmm. Beware of making appointments online. I made an appointment for 930 but unknown to me that means 7 1/2 hours. The website states typical replacement is 1 1/2 hours I have a Honda, nothing unusual.
