As we crossed the VA-TN border at 1 PM on route 81S, we had a blow-out and had to pull over to the side of the road. AAA was useless as there were accidents all over the city and cars & semi-trucks were off the interstate. I called Tire Choice in Bristol (6 miles from us), gave them our tire size, and made an appointment with them for 5:30 - the last appointment of the day. We hoped we would be on the road before they close at 6 PM. Luckily, after about a 2 hour wait in the cold with trucks inches away from us, the TN Highway patrol changed our tire to the "mickey mouse" spare right there in the storm. Kudos to them - they were simply awesome. We got to Tire choice by 3:30. When I went to the door, it was locked; they had all gone home. The door indicated that they were open until 6. AND WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT. So thanks for the call, and thanks for leaving us in the lurch, guys - way to go! I called Discount Tire, another 6 miles away, and they got us in-and-out in 20 minutes. So my rating of Tire Choice? What do you think? They're Skunks!

I was told this place was the one to go to when it came to wiring, so I decided to give them a try. I'm honestly so happy to finally have them fixed after all this time. I was there for approximately 3-4 hours.

Purchased a pick up truck from the Bristol TN Carmax in November 2024 after searching their website…read morefor months to find the exact vehicle I wanted. Absolutely no issues. The vehicle was as advertised. Vehicle and salesman were waiting for me ahead of my appointment. Was also updated by Carmax via text message about my appointment times and the required documentation that I needed to have ready. The transaction was a smooth as I've ever experienced buying many vehicles from traditional dealerships over the decades. No pressure at all to buy, unlike traditional dealerships where you get pushed constantly. Carmax lets you input most if not all of the required information online ahead of time prior to your scheduled visit- this can be done at your home computer, and I even uploaded some documents with a mobile device. The salesman and staff were very honest and helpful during the process, snd help me close the deal smoothly. If you can input your documents online ahead of time and also bring all the required correct, accurate, and up-to-date information with you, you should have no issues with the purchase process. I live out of state and they had the correct out-of-state paperwork there ready to fill out, and even had plates and stickers at the dealership so I could drive it home out of TN. I was in and out of there in less than two hours. I suspect many of the negative reviews come from people who do not have the correct paperwork or documentation, or do not have their finances in order prior to visiting the dealership. This was my first experience at Carmax and has changed the way I will purchase my vehicles in the future, as I will never go back to all that nonsense at a traditional dealership again.

Back in November, 2025 we brought our car in for a cata converter replacement, we had the converter ordered in advance and during the times we had the quote generated which was $1,500+ we were given verbal promises that the car would be done same day. First day? It was not completed the same day as promised. They then said they would have the car fixed by lunch time at the latest TOMORROW, tomorrow lunch comes around? Still not done. 3rd day we got law enforcement involved to get a proper update/record as we did not have a spare vehicle to get back and forth to work and were getting fed up with the excuses, this is when Mr Gibson himself showed his ugly side and began his verbal assault towards us mocking us in front of his entire team and had embarrassingly brought us to the wrong vehicle in the bay that wasn't even ours while screaming at us. It took 3 full days and a little extra time as they stayed after close to get the vehicle done before we could finally leave their shop. They had 1 single mechanic working on the vehicle for the first 2 days and only on the 3rd day realized they needed to put more hands on the job. We were suppose to have another service order for an oil housing unit repair on our vehicle but we will not be coming back as its clear Mr Gibson and his crew are just not the right fit for us after speaking to them again today.
