Back in November, 2025 we brought our car in for a cata converter replacement, we had the converter ordered in advance and during the times we had the quote generated which was $1,500+ we were given verbal promises that the car would be done same day. First day? It was not completed the same day as promised. They then said they would have the car fixed by lunch time at the latest TOMORROW, tomorrow lunch comes around? Still not done. 3rd day we got law enforcement involved to get a proper update/record as we did not have a spare vehicle to get back and forth to work and were getting fed up with the excuses, this is when Mr Gibson himself showed his ugly side and began his verbal assault towards us mocking us in front of his entire team and had embarrassingly brought us to the wrong vehicle in the bay that wasn't even ours while screaming at us. It took 3 full days and a little extra time as they stayed after close to get the vehicle done before we could finally leave their shop. They had 1 single mechanic working on the vehicle for the first 2 days and only on the 3rd day realized they needed to put more hands on the job. We were suppose to have another service order for an oil housing unit repair on our vehicle but we will not be coming back as its clear Mr Gibson and his crew are just not the right fit for us after speaking to them again today. Overall horrible experience, rude, snotty attitude from the front office ladies, and even ruder unruly behavior from the guys behind the ladies.

We were told they would not honor the warranty on my husband's Sumitomo tires, which were falling apart after just 34,000 miles, because he "had not rotated them often enough", which just isn't true. They were routinely rotated every 10,000 miles so there's no explanation for the issue other than incompetency on their part. They probably don't care that they're losing us as customers, but they're losing our extended family as well. Hopefully they'll mend their ways, but we're not holding our breath for it.

I was traveling in SW Virginia and staying at a hotel in Abingdon. My TPMS was telling me that my…read moreleft rear tire was down about 10 pounds, which I knew was not good because I had topped up all of the tires before I started to travel a few days earlier. I looked for tire repair, and Yarber seemed to have a solid reputation, so I decided to pay them a visit and see what was wrong. I left my hotel around 1:20, and after arriving I had to wait a few minutes while other customers were being waited on. The owner told me it may be a while because they were slammed, but within a minute or two, he asked for my keys, and at 2:05 he handed my keys back and said I was ready to roll. I was even more pleased when he gave me a surprisingly low bill for the repair. Fast, efficient service and reasonable prices.

If you're not in a big hurry, these guys are great, primarily because they are very honest and reasonably priced. I have had my cars fixed here for over 20 years. I look to them first for diagnosis. If they can do the work, I'm always happy. If it's something they don't normally tackle, they'll tell me. Going elsewhere is like auto-repair roulette. Dealers? Forget that... they are essentially crime syndicates. When you find mechanics you can trust, support them. Be patient. Drop your car off in the morning, enjoy the day, and you'll be back in business that afternoon.
