I'd love to give 5 stars but I'm a lol soggy over the fact my appt was 9:30am, I arrived at exactly 9:30am and didn't leave until 12:30pm. When I checked in the gentleman told me it would take about an hour and a half. But it was more like 3 hours. Luckily there is a quick check and Burger King across the street and down the street from there is a Walmart, Lowe's, jersey mikes and many other stores. I made an appointment through my insurance carrier. This appointment got cancelled 3 times with no call or text to let me know. When I inquired I was told that the part was now on back order. I requested calls from management through social media and direct phone calls, no response. I requested a lead time on part restock, no response. It has been nearly 3 weeks still awaiting a response. Terrible from the minute I walked in... no one was at the desk waited for at least 20 minutes for someone to help me. I did make/have an appointment and arrived early to check in. Check in was fast no issues. Then a service attendant came out to talk to me at which point I was already waiting for 35 minutes to let me know it would be a long wait. I did tell him I had no choice but to wait. I am at least 30 miles from home and do not have another means of transportation. The at home service was not available in my area. I have to honestly say if I didn't pay for this through my insurance I would definitely have walked out already. I am writing this review as I go into a 4 hour wait time. Ridiculous. Schedules need to improve for patron satisfaction. I can't even commit on the quality of the work since I am still waiting. Don't book a service unless you seriously have all day to sit in a waiting area with no heat. It's freezing! It's still winter here in New Jersey you need to put the heat on. Not good !!!! read more

We have been using SafeLite for over 10 years past few years have been sketchy, this time we put in for a simple front window fix on our small box truck. They set us up for a repair for Monday , was called today and told they can't come here (imagine a business set up for them coming to u and they can't) They told us we need to bring it in for repair because they don't want to send 2 techs Remember we have been getting this done for over 10 years, just a waste now. We found another place nearby in Union County ,NJ and $300 dollars cheaper and way faster! I got a rock to my Tesla windshield and my insurance recommended Safelite. They got me an appointment scheduled quickly that week. The staff at the front desk and technicians were extremely helpful and patient. I even went in a few days early to get them to answer my questions and show them the issue, so I felt confident fully proceeding. The day of the appointment was smooth - text and call updates and it only took a few hours. The wait time is 5 hours ...There was people that I was here after came in and already left and they didn't even have an appointment. I was very upset that I had to sit here for 5 hours and people came and go when I was here before them ... this is very upsetting and frustrating.... I would never recommend coming here again...... The worker that did the replacement stayed overtime because my car is a Saturn, and they are notoriously complicated autos even though they're super reliable. Do not use them. Employees steal from the customers. Technician Dustin Jenkins was supposed to switch out my broken windshield. He told me I needed to send a deposit before he came out which I foolishly sent. Dustin never came to complete the job. I asked Dustin to send my money back and he said he would. He never did and I've reached out several times with no answer. I will be reporting this to the president/ceo corporate level because he is probably stealing and defrauding other customers who call as well. read more

My poor car was broken into in Newark just for change as stressful as the situation was I was worried getting it fixed would be even worse. I was able to get an appointment the next day to get my new window. I did have to come back and have them finish the install since something was wrong with my door and they couldn't do it completely when I first came in (which wasn't on them). The window doesn't go down all the way but at least it's in place and functioning! The guys helping me were definitely worth 5 stars but I have to kind of place the window to close all the way. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Find somewhere else. It is not a surprise the reviews are so bad. I was told my car could not be repaired in my driveway and I had to bring it to this site to be repaired. I scheduled an appointment and drop off my car at the agreed upon time only to get a call that they cannot do the repairs they agreed to do. They are offering no discounts nor accommodations for their failure to fulfill their contractual duties. This is an incredibly poorly run business that is not customer friendly and does not go above and beyond. They don't even do the bare minimum. Also when you ask about other options beyond Safelite they will tell you the only other option is in Staten Island. This is a lie. Please consider Auto Glass Now which has multiple locations throughout NJ and is much friendlier and more helpful than this Safelite location and they actually follow through on their commitments. read more

There was a 7" crack on my windshield. My insurance company referred me to Safelite. I was redirected to Safelite's website for an online quote and was quoted $479.99 (before taxes) for a full windshield replacement. I drove out to their location in Bayonne to have someone inspect the damage and confirm whether the crack can be repaired. They said the windshield needed to replaced. I asked about cheaper options and was given a new quote of $967.12. They said the moldings needed to replaced even though there was no damage to the moldings. By asking about cheaper options, my quote literally doubled. I went home and called up about 5-6 local windshield repair shops and was consistently quoted anywhere from $190 - $275 for a full windshield replacement. I can't believe these people were trying to charge me almost $1000.  Avoid this place and do your homework. read more

What a circus this place is! The tech calls me over 2hrs after drop off to tell me he only has a scratched window that's "not that scratched" to replace my cracked window". Why would you replace a damaged window with another damaged window? Also, it would have been nice to have been told this 2 hrs ago. I proceed to schedule mobile service after they suggest to do so. An hour later they call to reschedule yet again because I don't have somewhere to cover them because it's going to rain. These people are all clowns and have no business being in business! Too bad I can't give a no stars review. But thanks for wasting my time, gas, money, and energy dealing with your nonsense! Don't bother calling them either, they NEVER answer! Geico set up a mobile appointment with SafeLite Bayonne after a rock cracked my windshield on the highway. SafeLite called the day before but I could not answer because I was on the phone on an imporant meeting. All of a sudden I receive an automated text message saying the appointment was cancelled. I kept trying to call back after my meeting but no one would answer. Finally, I got through and was told I would have to reschedule. Worst customer service ever. Called Geico. They wanted to refer me to another repair shop 2 hours from my home. I live in Jersey City. How pathetic. read more

This place is AWFUL. First, they tried to repair a crack in my windshield. The repair job was poorly executed. Consequently, the windshield needed to be replaced. Went to the facility and was told they ordered the wrong windshield and I had to reschedule. I went ahead and rescheduled. This time the technician was supposed to come to my office. Do not go here. This place is terrible! I have proof they up charged our insurance and lied to us. They knowingly installed the wrong windshield glass taking them a whole day! They didn't tell us this from the start, but they bought the generic version of the windshield, installed it incorrectly so the rear view mirror was not connected to the windshield, and then it shook when we drove it. We only found this out after complaining to corporate. We had to go back and get the correct windshield installed costing us $50 in Uber rides and a lot of time. On top of that they charged our insurance company for the more expensive version while installing the cheaper generic version! Total liars and crooks! read more

I had my windshield replaced today on my 2021 Honda Civic. They never put any of the stickers back on windshield ie registration and inspection. I had to drive back 1/2 hour only to have them hand me the stickers and tell me they can't put it back on because they say they have no adhesive. It's a windshield store all they have is adhesive. You can't reach anybody on the phone. This was the Bayonne NJ store. Stay away.... They couldn't care less read more

I had a scheduled appointment for 10 days. The morning of the appointment I received a call from the office asking me to confirm my make and model vehicle to see if they had the correct windshield. Besides the fact that there window of showing up was from 8 am to 5 pm which is ridiculous in it self. After receiving the call at 8am the day of the appointment I was told I would receive a call back to confirm they where going to show up and chance my windshield . I never received a call back , I called at 3 pm after waiting home all day taking the day off from work only to be told they would have to reschedule me for a new appointment. I hope I am giving them a 0 star review - if you have a choice DO NOT USE THEM. I went through my insurance. The technician took 2.5 hours to replace my windshield then proceeded to scratch and dent my hood, ruin the moulding around the hood, scratch the new windshield, didn't use the right rubber moulding and messed up the installation of the pan under the wipers. Two days later my moulding flew off the car and damaged my car door on the way down. When I called to get the damages repaired I was told I was a liar and the damage was present before the tech came to replace the windshield. Worst experience ever and now I have to repair through my insurance company and chase them for reimbursement - HORRIBLE service and even worse customer service. Avoid them at all costs!! read more

I will never use Safelite, although the Technician who installed my windshield was very professional and friendly, the manager, the receptionist and the mobile technician who never showed up on three schedule appoints were extremely unprofessional. I eventually had to show up at the bayonne location and waited 10 mins before the girl on the counter looked my way (while on her phone), I felt like I was at the DMV. I lost 3 days of work and couldn't take my kids to daycare because they offer a time frame window of 1 to 5 pm, It's almost an entire day!!! Don't waste your time going here. read more
