Last week, my landscaper's weed whacker accidentally sent a rock flying through the rear window of my Forester, rendering my only car basically undriveable in a safe way. We first called a local place that could immediately only clear out all the glass and replace it with plastic until they could do the actual replacement nearly 3 weeks later. Plus, I would have to go to them. Next, we called SafeLite and they were able to come to my home the very next day and do the replacement for $110 less than the local shop. They took payment from my landscaper over the phone, and the next day a very friendly and capable technician showed up, on time and after keeping me well-updated on his expected arrival time. The only minor 'glitch' (which could be more major for some people) was that during the initial phone call I was offered either an AM time window or a PM one, and I chose the AM one. Later that day, though, a rep called to say they'd have to put me in the PM window because of the need to plan an efficient route. I totally understood, and since I work from home and had no obligations that day, it didn't matter. I highly recommend SafeLite, and though I hope to never need them again, they'll be my first call if I do. read more

If I did my job as well as Tucker and his repair guys at Safelite Augusta.I WOULD BE FIRED. Came out to fix the smallest of chips on Monday, the most ideal weather conditions for the job, only to crack it. I won't and wouldn't give them any task. Now I have Portland Glass installing a whole new windshield next week. PLEASE RESPOND OR RETORT Tuckerat SAFELITE so I can give the entire BS experience that I had with the scam that is Safelite. They will charge your insurance company to "fix"" it only to break it and either your out off pocket a $200 deductible or have to pay out of pocket for the entire windshield they just broke...stay away for these nation chains... Even the customer service guy was horrible. read more

My hood flew open while I was driving and completely shattered my whole window, safelite quickly and effortlessly replaced my windshield, they also somehow fixed my front windshield wiper fluid and now it works again, and they adjusted my broken sun visor (from my hood flying open) and now it no longer hits me in the head. They also gave me new windshield wipers which I also desperately needed. I am very pleased with the process, the price, and the customer service! Everyone was so kind and helpful! Thank you safelite! Lifesavers! read more

I scheduled an appointment for 930am for passenger window. I work 90hrs a week so my girlfriend brought the car in. When she arrived they told her that it's a "drop off" appointment, and she didn't actually have an appointment so it might take all day to get it fixed. I did not request this type of appointment and ONLY went with safelite because they were available for a Saturday appointment to get it fixed asap. They are $100+ over the competition, and apparently don't even schedule you for appointments when you request an appointment. Absolute waste of time, call your local glass replacement company instead. read more

Damaged my hood. They forgot to bring new glass so was left with vehicle with no glass in it.

I wasn't there when the tech came to fix my windshield, but from what I heard the technician did an outstanding job! He was respectful, thorough, and took pride in his work. He did a great job in replacing the inspection sticker. I was truly impressed with everything. Great job and thanks for your honest work! read more

Everything went exactly as planned and they were fast and efficient. The cost was actually less than I was originally quoted. I am an Esurance through Allstate customer and their service was excellent as well. read more

Not impressed. I selected the time frame for the technician to come out for between 8am to noon. I just got a text saying he would be here between 1:30-2pm. I don't like having to wait around past the time of expected arrival. And then when they do show up ( at 2pm) 2 hours after the expected arrival time they bring the wrong windshield! So now I have to reschedule. Completely disappointed in their service read more

I've had the unfortunate occasion to have to use Safelite twice for windshield repairs. But fortunately, this is an amazing business to work with. They are friendly, efficient and do an amazing job. This week I discovered a "ding" in my windshield. My insurance company checked for an appointment online and there was one in 15 minutes, so I took it because I was just around the corner. The techs were working on another vehicle, but one of them took the time to talk with me. In about an hour and a half the job was done. The tech apologized that the flaw was still visible, and said they did their best. But when I looked at the work, it was almost perfect. I could barely see it. They also vacuumed the interior of my car. Highly recommended! read more

This place has caused me nothing but trouble for one windshield repair. The first two times I brought my car in at the designated times they tell me both times that the wind shield that they brought to replace mine broke upon transit even though they called me in just minutes before to bring my car in. That's two weeks wasted. In order to not be driving my car without an inspection sticker I schedule another appointment to arrive at my house. I had to reschedule again due to extenuating circumstances for another week later and they called me telling me a tech was arriving even though I did the reschedule days in advance. Finally, just yesterday they were supposed to arrive anywhere from 8am-5pm and they never contacted me. I was up and about from 830 to 900 that morning and apparently they showed up to my house, said they tried to contact me, and left. My brother was up downstairs and never saw anyone. I never received any phone calls like the one prior, and all I got was some e-mail saying who my tech was but not when they were coming if they did at all. This place sucks and has wasted an entire month of my life. read more
