I'm in disbelief…read more... I have a pre-drilled 75 Gal aquarium tank and was in a bit of a bind with my API Filstar XP canister filter which had a bad impeller and the water flow was poor. While looking for a replacement part, I found out that this filter was discontinued and replacement parts are scarce to non-existent.  I purchased a Fluval Canister filter but found out that it was not compatible with the existing plumbing.  Facing the propects of having to do a replumb, and not knowing where to start, and what parts I would need, I decided to google search for companies that could perform this service.   I called MK Aquarium and Kevin answered.  He took the time to understand my issue.  What I really appreciated about Kevin is that he decided that I could save money by doing the work myself AND he would be willing to walk me through how to do it.  Candidly, I was shocked and touched by this act of kindness from a business owner. Kevin was on the phone with me, answered all my messages and I was able to get it done.  My tank is up and running with no issues so far. As with any act of kindness, I'm playing it forward.  Anyone that is willing to assist a total stranger is high character in my book and it speaks volumes about the company itself.  If you need aquarium services , I strongly recommend you reach out MK and Kevin because they are going to be honest and fair..Thank you Kevin for the huge assist.

The employee at the front greeted me as though he was forced to, which didn't make for a friendly first impression. I looked around the store and found the selection to be fairly basic, while many of the prices were significantly higher than other local fish stores. For example, a skunk cleaner shrimp that typically sells for around $29 was priced at $39 here. I was also surprised to learn that they don't offer any 24hour livestock guarantee. I ended up purchasing some crabs and snails. I should have selected them myself, but the employee picked them for me. When I got home, I discovered that a couple of the hermit crab shells were empty, meaning I had paid for crabs that weren't actually there. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this store. I left feeling disappointed and that I didn't receive good value for what I paid.

This business is a joke. Let me explain. I have a very basic 85 gallon tank with 1 red eared slider…read moreturtle and very minimal plants/accessories. It took 3 tries for them to clean my tank right and use correct media for my Fluval FX6 filter. A quick Google search told me more than than one of their employees could. On the last visit, one of the employees tells me that a rock was jamming the filter and that is why the tank was dirty so quickly after cleaning. However, she said she couldn't show me the rock because she threw it back in the tank! Seriously? Also, there is a grate on the intake that prevents rocks from being sucked up and she even acknowledged that it seemed impossible for that to happen. I'm not one to question someone's honesty or integrity, but the whole thing was fishy! Pardon the pun. Either way, even if the employee did not lie about the rock and it somehow miraculously got into my filter, the overall experience with this company has been very bad and to top it all off, they asked me to pay for one of the secondary visits to get my tank cleaned! I would steer clear of this company.

This company provides excellent service with a twist of educating me about the industry, They have been very patient and attentive to all questions/service requests and are very reliable. Six months into the house, our fish look healthy and the aquarium is still a beautiful addition to our Entry way. There is no way it would look like this without OC-FISH amazing service. OC-FISH service Manager Rachael has also recommended and added new additions to the tank (fish and corals) making it look even better than when we first moved in. Ken will talk to you up and down your property about what he recommends and how to ensure your pond is as happy as possible without taking a penny from you. Every single recommendation he has given has been 1000x worth the effort and cost to do. Really a great person who you can tell just wants to make sure the customer is right. He even has great referrals if he isn't the person to do the job.
