With little to no knowledge of stairs or how to repair a large chunk of wood missing from my pup chewing (GRRRR), I needed a professional to come in and take a look and assess what needs to be done. After several failed attempts to get a handyman that does both wood/wall and carpet on stairs, we came across Gunn. He was quick to respond and came out to take a look and give a quote. After a very thorough look and rundown of what can be done, We decided to go with him. Gunn is very professional and seems passionate about his line of work. After approving his quote, we scheduled a day to come out and him to get to work. He got straight to it once he arrived. We did our best to stay out of the way while he worked so we hung out around the neighborhood since he was working on our stairs. He tackled the chewed wood on the wall with a composite materials which he sanded down to match the existing wood and then painted it over. While he was doing that he was also pulling the old carpet and putting in the new stuff. Before we knew it, he was done. We looked it over together and went over any potential issues. Gunn insisted that if we were unhappy with anything to give him a call and he would be happy to take a look. We were very much satisfied with the finished product and thankful for the professional service we received. After turning off the water to the unit, I immediately went upstairs to file an insurance claim with USAA. Being Easter Sunday, I figured it would probably be Monday when the crew would arrive. Surprisingly, they arrived on Sunday roughly an hour after I had filed my claim. The immediately went to work putting dehumidifiers and fans in place and cordoned off the area with tape and plastic liner. The following morning, I awoke to a huge pool of water that had spread to my kitchen. Apparently the water heater, which was full when the water was shut off, had finally given way overnight and had emptied the water through a good part of my downstairs. A crew came out later that day and started the mitigation process. Every interaction I had with Lawton was professional, super prompt, and especially courteous. I highly recommend!

They eventually put crappy tabs on (not the kind that you can put your finger through while installing the screen). The screen was wrapped in plastic so tightly that it was bent and they shrugged it off when he mentioned it. The other screen was not even the right size, with one end slightly wider than the other. I had to use a mallet to force it into the window. I am going to get all my screens replaced but definitely not with these people.
