I have not seen one without flashing expect mine. I waited to long to take them to small claims court, now i am looking at having it done before it becomes a leaking roof. The company owner we will call him Jack Monkey, I called and explained my concern Jack Monkey said they put down ice barrier and roof tar around the chimney and then he said is it leaking I said no but it can be a problem without flashing, he basically just laughed. Well Jack Monkey every roof contactor said it is a standard to put down the ice barrier and then chimney flashing, all the contractor's said no flashing will cause major issues down the road. Most of these reviews I would say are paid reviews. Stay away from this company.

Family business operated by people passionate about their trade and chasing perfection every day. Service and quality of product were class A. I received a total of 9 quotes for my full roof replacement (40 squares of composite) and Ketron were not the cheapest or going to have the fastest installation. They were just below average on cost and their install was actually going to be one of the longest once it was started. But they had a spot in their schedule to do the work that worked with my busy schedule (I never let contractors work when I'm not around) and their knowledge on the products and process seemed superb and their sales style of no BS, no push, just information made me believe they were going to provide the most value for what I paid. I was correct. Not only did they put a beautiful new roof on my house, they spent several extra days ensuring that every trim, fascia, and waterproofing detail was done perfectly so that I never have water in my house again. There's no way anyone promising 2 or 3 day roof replacements is going to be this thorough. Communication through out the process was spot on and no issues with paperwork or payment terms. They kept the site very clean after every work day. A comprehensive report at the completion of construction was handed over with great detail on any issues they encountered, how they were resolved, and photos showing exactly what I paid for being installed correctly. Genuinely enjoyed talking with both the owners and the entire process was as good as I have ever had with a contractor. I had planned on getting five quotes for my roof job, but I stopped at two after Mark from Hardie…read moreBoys gave me a comprehensive and very competitive quote for not only roof replacement, but also for replacement of the soffits and fascia, six new roof vents, and removal of the old chimney. Mark later added replacement of my dormer free of charge not because I asked, but because he wanted everything from the roof level up to be brand new and part of the job. Mark personally delivered the soffit and fascia materials himself days early so I had the opportunity to paint them before installation. I knew that once installed, the soffit and fascia boards would have nail holes and seams sealed with paintable caulk that I would have to touch up, but Mark had his professional crew take care of that touch-up. The crew was hard-working and did a wonderful job. They were friendly, accommodating, and fast. There were some challenges in removing the old and degraded fascia and soffit, which in turn required an extra half day of work for the crew...at no extra charge. The original quote included up to five sheets of replacement 4'X8' roof deck sheeting, but once they removed four- yes, four - layers of shingles, it was clear that 13 more sheets were in need of replacement. Mark made a point to show me the old sheets and I noted myself that they were severaly delaminated and clearly in need of replacement. The cost per extra sheet was very reasonable. The crew did a complete cleanup after the job was complete and frankly, my yard and the area around my house was cleaner than it was before the job started. I can't say enough about Mark and his crew. Mark was attentitve to all needs and concerns from the moment he stepped on my property to give a bid. I am thankful for the friend who recommended Hardie Boys and I would recommend them myself to anyone who needs a roof replacement.

This is in stark contrast to the first 'emergency mitigation' crew the insurance company sent when my roof had a serious leak that endangered my living room -- they charged $3,000 for what amounted to nothing more than a tarp, and it did nothing to stop the leak. That kept me awake protecting my floors for most of the rainy nights through February 2025. Then the first roofers I talked to wanted payment in cash so they didn't have to pay tax, but didn't mind involving me in a tax fraud scheme with no paperwork to protect myself against faulty work or the IRS. Finally I called Right First Roofing and was immediately relieved to find an honest and straightforward contractor. Patrick got up on my roof himself and took a video to show me its condition and explained my options, pointing me to what I knew (from the experience of the first roofer) to be the less expensive treatment and one that was perfectly adequate to protect my mobile home's aluminum roof. Repairs took place in two steps, first the immediate and absolute repair of the leak! Then later the completion of a normal maintenance coating for the roof once the combination of wind and rain allowed it. Now eight months have passed and I couldn't be happier or feel more secure with their work. I responded to a Facebook video add stating they were running a $299 special to remove moss, clean gutters, and spray a protectant. I was greeted with a dozen questions from an out of state phone number, and he was texting me, unprofessionally and calling me past 8pm. He said he was out of town, but then "Sent a Guy" to look at the house, which later turned out to be he looked up the house on Zillow. He then quoted me $1199, and $250 a year after for upkeep (what is the point of their "Protectant" if I need yearly upkeep? When I said what happened to the $299 offer he said that was only for very small houses with easy roofs. It all went downhill from there. I questioned the add and he told me I couldn't read (video add), and when I said the add said nothing about small houses or easy roofs he rudely replied "don't tell me what to put in my add's". He said that a couple times. He became rude, and obviously he is a very young man with zero business sense and even less customer service. When I told him that I would leave him a poor review he said he would blackball me with contractors and I would never get a contractor to work with me again, he even called me on the phone, when I wouldn't take his call, he vollied more threats. Very Unprofessional. I can't warn you, the reader, enough to stay away from this very unprofessional young kid who is trying to pass off being a big business. I am fully expecting a wild retort to this review, can't wait to read it!
