This is the worst Solar Company in the area. They are always ready to help when your buying, but if…read moreyou have a problem and need it fixed they suddenly will not help. They cashed our checks even before it was approved and it took six months to get PGE approval because they tried to sell us uncertified equipment that PGE wouldn't accept. For six months they kept blaming PGE. When it finally did come on line, the software to my phone stoped working and they wanted to charge me $200 per hour for two technitions to come out. Apparently ther warranty covers parts, but not labor. When the raingutteras on the roof flooded the front entry, they told mr that I hadn't ordered gutters and was lucky to have them installed. Seems like their installers don't understand how gravity works because the they expected the waterflow to go uphill on all five gutters. Find someone else. Wish I had.

We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. They subsequently replaced our Hub+ communication apparatus and included a three-year warranty. We had decided to junk the Hub+ and battery because we could not find any other solar company to repair our system. Solectric's CEO convinced us not to spend nearly $20,000 replace and install another inverter and Powerwall battery We lost sleep over this effort and 5 weeks with useless system. We took a chance. This company is well run, support staff competent and repair personnel certified, skilled and quite able. I would recommend them.

I purchased (own) my system under a 12yr loan, payments are lower than what my PG&E bill from before and received my 30% rebate already. Everything that was explained to me worked out just as they said. Hammond made it simple to understand, was honest, and was strait forward about every detail. I would give Hammond a 6th star if I could because they fixed some previous additional problems I knew about in my attic from when I installed our own house fan. Hammond had his guys fix my support brace at no additional cost even though I offered to pay. I also hired Hammond to upgrade all my garage lights to LED for cost savings. They came through and beyond all the way. Before the job was completely finished, they came back out and cleaned everything up and replaced the few roof tiles that were cracked. It's been almost a year now that I have had my solar system and it's still running strong. No leaks in the roof. One of my controllers recently stopped reporting and one panel went offline. I e-mailed Hammond and he acted quickly to resolve the problem in less than a week. No papers to sign, no additional cost, I didn't even have to be home. They just got it fixed. It was probably the most money I ever made in the 30 minutes it took me to get the information I needed and learn about Valley Solar. I had several other solar installers provide me with quotes and some of those were at least twice as much for a similar system. Some companies would not even give me a quote because they did not want to deal with Lodi Electric Utility. Once I contacted Valley Solar in January they responded immediately and I was up and running in March. The system has performed flawlessly producing power and I will break even in another 4 years. Valley Solar is very pro-active and has been out a couple of times to address issues with the system communication function. I did not request these visits, they just called and asked if they could come out and do some upgrades. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.
