And she could not remember that it was only available in the afternoons, not the mornings, kept scheduling for the morning, then said it would be about two months later. And I told her, I could not wait that long, and she said, oops, I made a mistake, and we set the appointment. I did go to the salon. I did have a great experience, loved the color but reached out to her again? Because after a few weeks, the color did fade. Not back to the way it was prior but it still faded. I paid $175 for the color and a hair cut. I gave a very generous tip as I always do. We set another appointment for today (October 19) at 2pm. After again discussing that I'm only available in the afternoon. I am a very busy person running 2 business and helping my children with my 3 grandkids. I went to the salon at 1:45 (which looked very dark) but still tried the door. It was locked. I sat in my car trying to text Deanna but even being connected to their wifi i couldn't get through. Left at 2 o'clock and as I was driving home the message (are we still on for today) went through. Deanna replied, I am so sorry, I had to leave early bla bla bla. I didn't want to hear because I was so passed off that I wasted a half hour. Driving there sitting for fifteen minutes and driving back home. It is very unprofessional that you can't send a quick text saying, i'm sorry I have to leave. We need to reschedule!! I told her the only way she's going to make it up to me is if she comes to my house and looks at my hair, will she reply that she does not make house calls. Well then I guess you lost my business!!

I am hesitant to get my hair cut at new places because I have such thin hair and some places try to give me tons of layers to add volume and other places avoid that to add thickness. Maria was super knowledgeable and talented. She cut exactly how I wanted it and my hair feels fuller with more volume, super healthy, and still maintains my length. I wanted to go from a medium/light brown to a super dark cooler brown. I was adamant that I did not want my hair to look red or purplish in the sun and Maria did exactly that. It doesn't look black and it doesn't look red, but still shines with a nice dark brown. I am extremely happy with the job I got at New Wave and if I get to come back to Danbury in the future I will definitely make Maria my go to hair stylist! Bonus was the check in option that gave me a discount for new clients! Well worth the trip and didn't spend a ton of $$$ for a solid dye job and cut. Even without the discount the prices are great, so I know next time I won't be taken advantage.

Not only did she answer her phone at 8am on a Sunday, but she was able to get us in the following Tuesday! Walking into her studio is a dream. The wigs displayed are all gorgeous. Danielle has synthetic AND human hair in stock. You can also try on & order different color ways. She let my sister try on as many as she wanted. We ended up loving one off her wall and purchasing.
