Vicki was so pleasant to work with, called us back promptly, answered all of our questions and the paperwork went really Smooth. She even gave us the special refinance deposit in our savings account. The branch is nice and new and I like the fact that when you call you talk to someone and not a computer. That's personal service. I guess those small credit unions is how you get personal service still. Nice touch. But I did think it was kind of odd that when you go in the branch instead of tellers you go in a booth and send your deposit into a tube. Hmm.

We have banked here since around 1984 when it was Kern Schools. We have had mortgages, auto loans,…read moreetc. Ever since it changed to Valley Strong we have had problems. Our account has been compromised twice during the last few months and getting it taken care of with new cards, etc. has taken MONTHS each time. The last time we were told we would be mailed new cards and we STILL haven't received one of the cards and that was MONTHS ago. Just today when I got a text that I'm thinking might be from fraud and I call the bank I'm told I'm "Caller number 50" I have been on hold twice, each time over 30 minutes. WHO has time for that every time they call? Spoke to a customer service representative today and told her we would be closing our accounts. She said, "well I certainly can't talk you out of that and you're welcome to close your accounts if you like" Well THANK YOU for telling me I can close my accounts, sooooo helpful. Good-bye Valley Strong! Update: after receiving the response from Nicholas I did call the number he provided. No answer so I left a message. Ms. Whitmore called me back. She was apologetic and I believe sincere. She said the call would be reviewed and the customer service agent spoken to and gave me a direct line to a branch manager so if I had further questions/concerns I could call him directly instead of going through the call center. For now, I will keep our accounts and appreciate her willingness to resolve this.

Valley Republic has thus far met our needs and exceeded them. Right off the bat we felt welcomed and treated respectfully. The branch is clean and calm and quiet. At least quiet right now lol. But the employees (tellers too) were professional and not rushed or disrespectful. They really do care for you. I love that the business here is mutual. I normally do business at Panama but wow that local sucks ass now sorry Valley Strong that place needs some customer service updates ;) This location is like a breath of fresh air for me as soon as I walked in! Wow! Smiles, eagerness, genuine personalities!! LOVE IT!! Miss Yessenia was my advisor and she like everyone else i encountered here rocks! Made everything smooth did all the right checks on the trust, checking and money market accounts I was interested in. As most of you know an unfortunate chain of events caused by my family members put my dad almost into foreclosure, drained his bank account and maxed his credit card while he was incapacitated in the hospital in critical condition. They still think they did nothing wrong and can't seem to admit anything even being caught red handed by myself and the police. Not even the police confiscating dad's bank cards from them made them admit anything! But I guess that's normal with people that don't think they should work for a living they have to sponge off of a 75 year old man truly sad... Well fast forward to now I've been nothing but impressed with the service here, fantastic actually!! The money market helps my dad's money from the sale of his house make money a VERY decent amount to help continue to pay for his ongoing dementia care which btw is incredibly expensive! Medicare doesn't cover this! They don't help with his rent in the facility they only cover meds, diapers, nurses visits and bathing by a health aide weekly. So the money market account is essential in helping me pay for his care. Miss Yessenia made this the most stress free seamless process. This is the only location i do business at now. Thank you guys so much!!
