The P-Bar is my hometown bar, and I have been coming here for longer than I can remember. My…read morefriends and I would come in high school on Thursdays for $1 Burger Nights (no longer around, RIP), and now we come to enjoy some drinks on the patio and hang out. The bar is located in a strip of stores along Old Clairton Road, just off of route 51. There is some parking in the front that is shared with all the other businesses, and then a parking lot across Old Clairton that gets used at night when the businesses that it is for are closed. Additionally, there is a private lot for the bar in the back, and parking at the Bill Green Shopping Center just a little ways down the road (sidewalks from Bill Green to the bar entrance). Due to a fire that occurred here a few years ago, the entire place has recently been remodeled and reoriented from how it was originally. The bar is now in the back, and the main dining room is in the front. There is also a great patio and outdoor space with open air seating, as well as some area under a porch. Everything is new, clean, and modern as a result of the remodel. On this visit, we came to hang out on a Saturday evening. It was raining, so we had to get a table inside. It was karaoke night, as they have each Saturday, so we got to take in the sights and sounds of several performers. Since we were there later in the evening, we just ordered appetizers to much on along with our drinks. I got the Fiesta Street Corn Dip. It was a great value for the price, and there was a ton to go around the whole table. I also sipped on a Summer Shandy from their seasonal draft list. Overall, the food menu has a decent selection, all at very reasonable prices. The draft list did not have any red or brown ales on it, but there was still a fair selection of drinks. The ladies who came around to our table were pleasant and helpful. It was rather crowded, but there would be times we would not see a server for extended periods of time. I do not think it helped that our table was tucked back in a corner, but wish we would have been visited on a somewhat more frequent basis to put additional orders in. I always have a good time at the P-Bar, and enjoy coming here. Especially in the summer, it is an ideal place to hang out and catch up with friends. And likely, if you are from the area, you will run into several people you know. I did not have their breakfast this time, but the breakfast they have on the weekends is worth a try as well!

Not sure how the afternoons are but I will have to try it out. The food was awesome! The onion rings were some of the best around. If you are looking for somewhere close to home but not a chain I would definitely give the P Bar a try.

When I die; bury me here -- straight the fuck up. Just lift up the dart machine that ate my money…read moreand stuff me under it for all I care. This is paradise. The air? Filled with FREE cigarette smoke. The crowd? My people. The ambiance? Top tier. The drinks? To die for. The vibes? Immaculate. Any lantern flies? Not in here, but probably 20-30,000 in the surrounding area because they've seemed to completely take over the area. Dean and I were talking and we think we found a 4 step solution to getting rid of the lantern flies. Step 1. Release toads to eat the lantern flies. Step 2. Release Iguanas to eat the toads. Step 3. Release alligators to eat the iguanas. Step 4. Release an influx of Cajun men in the area to handle the gators. Back to the review: From the moment we swung those doors open and got hit with a metric ton of Marlboro Red smoke, I KNEW this night was going to be the night of my life. We came here on Karaoke night and I truthfully don't know what we all did in our last lives to be this fortunate, but whatever it was - it paid dividends on this faithful night. Great entertainment, great drinks, and even more important, great people (especially the guy who was telling me about his 50 year high school reunion that took place earlier that day that was borderline sucking my neck with how close he was talking to me). ONLY way the night could've gotten better is if I could've met this "Joe" and had a Spam Martini with him and chopped it up a bit. I WILL be back, and I'm confident in saying you'll have to pry me out of the fuckin' place the next time I am, because I'm not gonna willingly leave -- this place rules.

Such a fun experience at Hi Sound! Each group has their own room - we were given the VIP room,…read morewhich also came with tambourines. We sang (and drank) our hearts out! Giving it four stars because there weren't as many English songs as we hoped and there was a little confusion on what was included with the VIP package. But despite those small things, we had an absolute blast!

This was the most fun I had at a work happy hour in some time. I don't know who at work thought we…read moreshould come here or picked it but I am so glad that they did. We had a blast! I always say that you might feel shy when you get into the room but after a few minutes you want control of that mic, you want it bad. We had a larger party so we reserved a room. You are able to order drinks at the bar and bring them inside. Also, we were able to bring outside food into the room, so we ordered some pizzas from a place the employee suggested. There were two mics and two tambourines in the room...I'm not saying the tambourines were a good idea, but I'm not saying they weren't. After a quick lesson on how to use the machines we were on our way to hours of fun. I will say that the music selection isn't as large as other places I've seen, but it didn't stop our fun. If you are looking to kill some time and have a great time with friends. This place is a good one to stop at. It will take up some time and make you laugh, a lot!
