Dr Robert L Burns, I previously posted my review of Dr…read more Burns on yelp a few years ago. And I posted photos of myself afterwards, with a black eyes and a swollen face. After he removed an impacted u eye tooth. So im now reposting this review because i want others to know that he is not a gentle dentist or a gentleman either. I read another post once on how he pulled the wrong tooth of a lady and then tried to put it back in...can you believe that...it happened. As far as myself, He treated me horribly. Im 80yr old today, I was 77 at the time I was referred to him to surgically remove an impacted eye tooth, before I could have dentures made. My dentist must have hated me and wanted me to endure pain, because I surely got it from Burns. Most dentist, in my experience try to keep a patient from having pain, they carefully inject novacane and slowly. Not Burns, he drove the needle in 3 consecutive times and ramed it very hard. I immediately complained that he was to rough. He offered that I was welcome to get up and leave at that point. I now wish I had, but id didn't, he left the room for a about 2 minutes, not 5, 10, or 15...came back and said you should be numb now. I wasn't close yet. He took a scalpel and began slashing my gums open. Then took his pliers and grabbed my impacted tooth and began pulling and twisting it as hard as he could , he had to put his other hand over my face to use to push against for leverage. It came out, he stuffed a wad of gause to catch the blood, then began walking to the door, he said that I could leave now and check out at the desk. At that point I realized why a lady was crying going out the front door when id got there. I will never recommend that man to anyone else as long as I live. Hes just after the money as fast as he can make it. That is all thats important to him. If dont mind pain, and want quick treatment, hes your man... G. Sadler

I had two (broken) wisdom teeth extracted last month and was able to have them successfully…read moreremoved. There were no complications and recovery was fairly quick for me (I also applied DMSO for faster healing.) I was shown what possible complications could potentially occur during surgery and what those options would be (just in case) before commitments were made. Everything went well and the contingencies were not needed. I did not have covering insurance, but the costs were not any more than my in-network insurance dentists had quoted. The latter may also be a reflection upon unscrupulous in-network dentists (name withheld) refusing to grant treatments without agreeing to unnecessary procedures, it is worth noting that I didn't have any unneeded options being pressed with this dentist, and I appreciate that honesty and professionalism. For the dentist and staff, thank you. There were no problems requiring follow-up!

I am really surprised that this dental practice has good reviews. I have never provided a poor…read morereview but I don't know what to do at this point. I made an appointment for a tooth extraction. I was told that the office did not take my insurance but they would file the claim on my behalf. I understood that I would be required to pay for the services upfront which I did. The amount changed from what I had been quoted but did not argue with this. After 6 weeks I had not received reimbursement from my insurance so I called and was told that the payment was made to the dentist. I then called Beachside Oral Surgery and was told that it takes a while for them to reconcile their payments. It is now December 22nd and I have not received any payment. My appointment was during the first week of September. I have called and left messages but no one from this office has returned my calls. They received payment by me and insurance which is crazy. My only recourse now is to file suit against the dentist. I do not recommend this practice.

This place is amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable and thorough. I came in for wisdom tooth…read moreextractions. I chose to do no anesthesia because they were pushed through my gums already. From the time I sat down to when I was done was 45 minutes, for 3 teeth. His technique with lidocaine shots was FLAWLESS!! He got my teeth out in less than 10 minutes. So completely impressed and I have minimal pain. Would 10/10 recommend!

I agree with the other reviews the office was nice, and the staff pleasant…read more Unfortunately my experience with an dental implant didn't go well. After 7 appointments over the last 14 months, a lot of anxiety, 3 surgeries, 2 bone grafts, several shots that are not fun, antibiotics after each procedure, and all the recuperation afterwards. What I thought was going to be my last dental implant procedure turns out the implant didn't take, and had to be taken out. $425 for the dental scan at the consultation which I thought was taken to show if my jaw was able to get an implant. Guess not. $1,325 for the extraction, and first bone graft. $525 for the lab that makes the implant.$1.900 for the implant surgery, and another $1,070 for the second bone graft. That all comes to $5,245. I have nothing to show for it except a very bad experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Ask to see the paper work at the consultation not the day of the implant. Oh, if you decide to cancel that day you willl still have to pay 50% of the procedure. If I had seen i the paper work I would of never gotten the implant. I would think long, and hard before you decide to get an implant no matter where you have the procedure done. Read all the paper work very carefully.
