I came in right when they were open, and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in finding the right herbs and tinctures to assist with my needs. I also appreciated the wide variety of options that they had as well as the additional stuff that they sell there such as soaps, candles, and oils. While assisting me, I appreciated that the staff reached out to their manager for clarification to make sure that I was getting the necessary answers and information needed. Lastly, I appreciated how clean spacious and aesthetically pleasing this establishment was. I definitely look forward to going back as I continue to explore different herbs and the qualities in enhances to my daily life. read more

After seeing Sacred Vibes on Instagram, my friend and I decided it was time to address our 30-year-old body ailments. We noticed it wasn't too far from our Brooklyn neighborhood so we headed over on a Saturday afternoon. The shop was dimly lit with natural light beaming through the front window. The smell was herbaceous and woody, but not as pungent as classic botanicas that can overwhelm you with scents of patchouli and incense. We were greeted by Sid and Ziggy, both of whom were laid-back but ready to help at any time. They also gave the shop some down-to-earth vibes which is great when you're a bit more pragmatic like me. We explained to them the one to eight problems we each had and they directed us to teas, herbs, tinctures, and even smokable blends (not my scene but helpful). It was heaven! I left with the Sinus Formula Tea and Golden Tonic. The tea is smooth, round, & tasty, and has been keeping my sinus headaches at bay. I haven't used the tonic as much but every time I add it to my water, my body goes into flush-mode which is great for my body aches and overall gut health. Sid mentioned that there was an online shop for when we have to re-up but this experience is well-worth the trip. read more

Love this place! My local to go to for some loose tea! The vibe is spiritual herbalist ...feels healing just to walk in if you are sensitive to energies. Everywhere you look there's a little treasure to discover. Tea, mixed herbal cigars, oils...maybe some magical potions too! hehe you can even make your own blends according to need. Staff is always super friendly and helpful! Love it here!!! read more

Needing to make my own blends, I sought this spot out. I didn't realize I was already following this same business on the socials and was pleased to see their vast selections. The energy about the place and they make all the herbs themselves. Prices are reasonable and service is at a moderate pace. I was able to leave with what I needed and picked out some gifts. read more

Sacred Vibes Apothecary - a variety of spices - Tea Rooms Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Amazing. The vibe is on point. The young ladies ahead of me had many questions which were answered so gracefully and patiently, I was impressed and also put at ease. Every herb I needed was there. I wish I remembered the name of the herbalist who helped me, but i suspect customer service is a priority. She was awesome! I ended up buying more than I initially needed. And I will definitely return. Also, also the iron supplement "anemia brew" is THE ONLY version I've had without stomach issues. And I've had many. No reflux, best taste and it's been working. read more

Omgeeee what an amazing place. If I could I would just grab a cup of tea and sit here all day learning about all the herbs and healing properties. Nestled on the corner of Argyle and Cortelyou in Ditmas Park, you'll find 1-2 herbalists ready to help you heal. The shop currently allows two people in a time due to COVID and you'll want to spend 20-30 minutes here looking at all the options. They have teas, tinctures, capsules and soaks all either premade or made to order on site. I purchased a plethora of times in all forms and was able to chat with both herbalists about the properties and times I should avoid drinking the teas or tinctures. I honestly could have spent hours here as they also have an amazing library of books and resources on every herb imaginable. This ship is Black woman owned which makes it a win in my book. If you're looking for a natural remedy I recommend coming here. You will get your life!! I'm already looking forward to my return visit and can't recommend Sacred Vibes enough. read more

I ordered 2 of the Liver Detox cleansers on 9/2/ 2020. It is now 10/20/20 and I have not received my product. I have called multiple times - and no answer. I've emailed, reached out on Instagram and no answer. I have noticed that on Instagram there is other people experiencing the same problem. If you want to buy product from here I wish you luck bc the customer service is poor and they will most likely not get you your product. I have to now dispute it with the bank. It is really frustrating to do even get an email back to call back to try to fix the issue. read more

Located this jewel place back in 2000. My son was very active in school, and they wanted to get him started on drugs. NO, NO, NO!!! I researched all alternatives and found this life-saving place. Karen Rose is SO sweet! I recently purchased the medium black tourmaline and the mortar and pestle. The latter was out of stock so she emailed me asking if I'd like my money back but we came to an agreement and instead I received 2 units of Frankincense. My order arrived shortly after and I'm really satisfied with it! They say frankincense relives anxiety and depression so I'll definitely be keeping track of the effects it has on me :-) read more

September 4th, 2021 - Came here to grab some Calendula, Rosemary, and Reishi Mushroom Extract for seasonal allergies and got what I needed. Was an overall fun store to be in. Very well organized and it felt like a mini library of holistic items. The employee there was quite nice. We had a conversation and shared a couple of laughs. Great store for healthier alternatives and natural remedies. read more

I love Sacred Vibes and Karen Rose for a million and one reasons. I also love all of the apprentices that work in the shop. Everyone is special and amazing in their own way and I proudly announce how appreciative I am of them in my life and in the community. Since deciding to study herbalism and especially as an apprentice of Sacred Vibes, it has become a passion of mine to visit other apothecaries in the cities that I travel to for vacation. The more that I do that, the more that I become so grateful for Karen, her shop, the community that she has developed through the program and her work and especially the integrity that she represents. A black owned apothecary is a very rare find and is to be celebrated and fully supported. The way that I have been mis-treated and mis-greeted by many of the new white owned shops that are frequently popping up everywhere. They are quick to appropriate and sell other cultures herbal remedies and medicinal practices, but the energy is often terrible especially towards women of color that want to connect and support. read more

I visited Sacred Vibes Apothecary last week to purchase various herbs and check out their inventory in person. Senobia (Sinovia? Zenobia?) was quite helpful and resourceful as the pandemic has some of their products out of stock. I found this business on Yelp when looking for organic bug repellent products. Came away with a great $10 bottle of spray (see picture). It contains wormwood, catnip!, yarrow with lemongrass & eucalyptus E.O. In Apple Cider Vinegar. How interesting. Everything is made in-house by hand. I ended up spending another $40 on products that de-stress and assist in sleep using more natural ingredients including a dropper bottle called "Slumber," (Valerian and Hops), and "Anti-Anxietea," containing too many ingredients to name but smelled delicious. Will definitely order more online for delivery from sacredvibeshealing.com -- Thanks, Yelp! read more

They had almost everything I needed! The place is amazing too, the vibe in there feels sacred and the employees were very helpful. Will definitely be back. read more

I wandered in here recently with a friend, and like other reviewers have stated, found it do be a really charming shop. Sacred Vibes carries a mix of pleasure teas (ie teas just for your enjoyment, like chai and green teas), medicinal teas & tinctures (herbal blends designed for specific purposes), and bulk spices/herbs for general use. When I wandered into the store, Karen was not in, but the woman there was really friendly, relaxed and helpful. The shop overall has a really serene vibe and is very aesthetically pleasing with big glass jars full of various herbs lining the walls. I purchased a medicinal tea, but haven't been taking it as regularly as the instructions direct, so hard to say if it's done anything (shame on me!). I will soon be moving nearby, and definitely plan to come back again! read more

The owner is not very friendly at all. She never greeted me when I walked in. Tried to ask a few questions, but she never looked up. The other two young ladies that were working spoke for her. I traveled from New Jersey with the intention of purchasing a lot more than what I did. It was a turn-off. I made it a point to try to say goodbye and have a nice day upon leaving....., still no smile in return. Extremely off-putting. read more

Walked in, and, trying to be polite, said "hello." The young woman at the register answered with the most noncommittal, disinterested "hi." I looked around a bit, then out of curiosity asked the cashier what she was making from the herbs she was mixing. The owner, who'd gotten off the phone call she'd been on, answered for her. Also in a very clipped and noncommittal way. It made me feel like questions were unwelcome. The owner then proceeded to work on her laptop. The shop was very small and let me tell you, it was really awkward looking around in such a cramped space while the owner and cashier acted like I wasn't there. Eventually, they started talking to one another. I heard the cashier ask if the owner had answered an email from people who wanted to stop by today. The owner answered "no." All of a sudden it made sense why the email and Instagram DM I'd sent them had gone unanswered. The awkwardness got to me and I thanked them and proceeded to walk out. Their "goodbyes" were the most enthusiastic things they'd said to me. Such a shame, because I went in with high hopes and plans to regularly spend money there. There are other herb shops in Brooklyn that I'll be frequenting instead. read more

Excellent and fragrant teas. I bought samples of something charmingly named, called anti anxietea, which helped me weather a calamitous political situation back home where I'm from, as well as other upheavals. Also bought a tea for focus. They're all delicious, fragrant, and very soothing. Shall go back for more! read more

I want to love this place. I've lived in the neighborhood for a while and think it's super cool to have an apothecary with an experienced owner; however, the service is terrible. nobody asks if you need help with anything or asks if you're looking for something specific. I always leave feeling a little resentful for spending my money here but I do love their herbs and products so I return. the bad customer service could be easily improved... hopefully it will be. read more

Sacred Vibes is magical and always so calming when I visit. I enjoy being able to touch and smell and feel nature in a shop. I will always support this business how I can, not only because it is owned by a black woman who has taken the time to share her gifts, but also because shops like these are not a dime a dozen. Authenticity in world full of ugliness is refreshing. I'm not sure what issues with customer service that some people may have had, but I have always had a wonderful and educating experience. This shop is one of those places that you really need to check your negativity at the door, and all good happens! read more

Been there three times. Twice I came in and they said they were closed even though the door was open and it was during their open hours. The other time they acted like I wasn't even there. You call during business hours, no one answers the phone. You send an email through their web site, you get no response. You desperately send a DM to their Instagram account, you get no response AND you get to see them post new photos onto their timeline AFTER you've sent them the DM. When you finally get a hold of a human being on the phone the attitude about the great difficulty in reaching a staff member is quite lackadaisical. Like, "Well, there's only two of us and I'm just getting back from vacation." AND? What does that have to do with anything? The other person has been in town and posting on Instagram to boot! Are you trying to run a business or customers away??? The decision is yours. I won't go out of my way to patronize this business but if I pass by and they're open and I NEED something, fine. I could've ordered what I was trying to find out if they carried (which they DON'T) online and had it delivered by now, instead of messing around trying to give them my MONEY. UGH. Not a fan of their business hours, either. read more

Found this place because I was looking for herbal treatment for a cold plus a good cleanse to start my diet. Was super ecstatic because she was in Brooklyn and also African American. Showed up on Friday got there around 12:20 and the gate was down figured maybe I was a little early or they had stepped out for lunch so I waited a couple more minutes and called and no one answered so I left. I'm still going to try. Hopefully I can get through. Really want to get some products from there. read more

I went to the store on Friday November 25th. I was there at 12:00 pm. I waited 20 minutes and then I left. I decided to call and to my amazement the lady by the name of Karen picked up the phone. I was like what time did you open and she said 12 o'clock and I was like well I was there and nobody was there and she was like well I've been here for a while. I told her I got there at 12 o'clock and waited for a while and no one was there. Then she had the audacity to say that she was looking for parking. Why not say that from the very beginning or at least say you was running late? I wanted to sign up to her apprentice program but this was a blessing in disguise not to sign up. $3000 is a lot of money to spend and you're blatantly lying over the phone. What kind of sacred vibe is that? I got Bad vibes over the phone. read more

My son and I decided to make a visit to SVA this past Saturday and I am happy to report that this shop does not disappoint. I found SVA through yelp and some youtube videos as well and I found the comments and the videos to be warm and inviting and that is how we felt stepping through the door. As soon as wee entered my son says "OMG, I love this place already!", there is such a cozy and relaxed feeling about SVA, it's as though you are being welcomed by family the vibe is unbelievable. It is very well organized and Karen was in, she has such a sweet nature about her I was so happy when she stepped from behind the counter because for a couple of minutes I thought that she may be floating above the ground! The herbs are organized and plentiful in variety and avaliability, there were tinctures and remedies already packaged, there is really nothing that I can say that is not in love about this shop. As I was wondering around a customer called in to inquire about specific herbs , Karen located them, let the person know that it was the last of that particular herb and that she would put it away for her!!! That's sevice, she also thanked me for having travelled from BX to her shop and in all honesty I should be thanking her for being a calming ray of sunlight on an otherwise hectic day. If you are thinking of paying this shop a visit do so it is so worth the trip and I for one will be back. P.S. plastic is an accepted form of payment read more

I hate to write this, but I have been a consistent customer of Sacred Vibes Apothecary for years!!! I have referred family, co-workers and friends over time. Every other experience has been magical. Yesterday I visited and it was any but. Danielle was the staff member present and she was extremely rude and lacked any form of service. When I walked in her energy was combative and negative. She never offered a "Hello, welcome/let me know if you need anything". I stood at the counter waiting for assistance with my order for close to 10 minutes (mind you I am the only one in the store) and even then she was impolite. She then proceeds to pack/smash my herbs in the bag with her raw hands (no gloves, no previous hand washing nor sanitizer) not to mention whatever she's experiencing I don't want it attached to my healing. I'm not even sure why I purchased them after that...but they will be going in the trash! If this beautiful sacred apothecary is a space for healing and wellness, it is essential for the individuals offering access to the healing be spiritually and emotionally healthy. Sacred Vibes has held my village down for a very long time...this might very well be the last! read more

This is in my neighbourhood and has to be the worst customer service ever. I ordered my stuff from them during this COVID mess. I got a call to say I cannot pick up my item as they will be closed. Unfortunately I came down with the disease. I called emailed called emailed no one responded to me for close to 2 months. I have NEVER been treated this way by any establishment. Then I happened to drive by the store and notice the gate was up there was the shop assistant on the phone saying to wait. I had to wait till she got off the phone to deal with me. The proper thing to do would be to say please hold to the phone person who it turns out was the owner and deal with the customer in front of you. I will never patronize this establishment again. This was the last straw. They are 3 more instances but this one was it for me. read more
