**This is a long review since I want to provide as much helpful information as possible for anyone curious about trying Reiki for the first time like me** Kim has compassionate and gentle soul and can make anyone feel welcomed and comfortable. I had been curious about Reiki and went to her not knowing exactly what to expect. She took extra time with me to talk through everything and I was in awe of my experience and her healing touch. I came to her with a heart problem that my doctors could not figure out (high heart rate + chest pains) as well as a history of achilles tendinitis and an old knee injury. Afterwards, I felt more like myself than I have in months maybe even years. AND the crazy thing is that since my appointment my heart rate average has significantly lowered and I felt a huge burden lifted off my chest. It has been amazing to finally have relief for a problem my doctors have been unable to solve for months. Additionally, my knee and tendinitis have felt better/stronger and she gave me tips to continue healing and keep energy properly flowing through my body and feet. She truly has such an amazing gift! Her insights into what my body was holding onto were enlightening and made complete sense to me. It was interesting that I was having unanswered heart issues and Kim found that all of my trapped emotions were being held in my heart wall, which makes total sense why I may have held so much tension there and why I have felt relief finally. I'm moving through a divorce currently and I had just found out that my husband had been cheating on me when I saw Kim last. I came in with some serious PTSD and couldn't seem to get myself out of fight or flight. Kim recommended a mix of Access Consciousness and Emotion code to help release repeating thoughts and stuck emotions. Within about 15 minutes I was already noticing my anxiety levels dropping. I didn't fall asleep but was deeply relaxed throughout the session. By the end of the session my anxiety had gone down from about a 7 to a 2, but within the next week was really where I noticed a change. I just felt lighter and not as sad. The circular thoughts that were waking me up at night panicked and sweating had loosened their grip. And the smoking habit I picked back up 2 months prior vanished. I just no longer felt the need for a cigarette! I wasn't even looking to quit smoking, and never mentioned it to Kim, but it was just an added benefit to the session. I highly recommend Kim. I am a huge fan of reiki sessions and had received several sessions from my previous favorite provider in San Ramon, however she closed her practice once Covid hit. I tried a couple other people but did not feel the connection... until I met Kim. I had my first session with her yesterday and she was AMAZING! I can definitely feel the difference. She not only provided reiki to clear my chakras, but she also incorporated the Emotion Code and released a few trapped emotions. I am a fan of both methods! My experience with Kim has been nothing short of magical. It was my first Reiki session ever. I went to see her to help unblock some negative energies that had been seriously interfering with the progression and resolution of a difficult divorce situation. Things were stagnating and I felt that there was something in the way. The session was amazing and strange. During the sessions, when Kim's hands were on my head and neck area, I was on the table with eyes closed. I swear that I felt her hands shaking or vibrating and just thought that was how it works. After the session, I asked Kim about it and if she was shaking or vibrating her hands. She replied that she had not, that her hands were still, but that she was feeling the energy flow. Wow, this means that I was actually feeling the "womp womp womp" of the energy flow. I didn't think I'd actually be able to feel that! But after the session is when the amazing things started happening. Just about 2 weeks later, things started to become unblocked! I can't get into too many personal details, but suffice it to say that you could think of what happened as a frozen stream beginning to defrost. Events happened that basically "forced" the divorce process to resume and for real progress to be made. And the negative energy releases are still continuing. It's like magic, really. The progress in my personal life has been unbelievable. I would advise, though, to continue the work on your own once you leave Kim's Healing Cottage. Meditate, do affirmations, continue on the path in whatever ways resonate with you. Kim gave me the sweetest parting gift before I left. I had never heard of the Hawaiian Ho'Oponopono meditation, but Kim told me about it and I've been doing it every day ever since. It has transformed my life. I love how cozy and relaxing her cottage is. The room is filled with beautiful art and crystals that immediately put you at peace. All the sessions I've had with Kim have been a great experience.
