rocking chairs on a porch

I'm a sucker for historical hotels Sacajawea Hotel is on the registry for national historic places and hotels. We drive out of our way to stay here during a cross country road trip in 2020. Located in a tiny town, the hotel's offerings alone are worth the adventure. From the wrap around front porch with rocking chairs to the updated bathrooms in the historic rooms and two on-site restaurants featuring regional dishes like trout, bison burgers and so on. We thoroughly enjoyed our time reading books and watching the sunset in rocking chairs on the porch. We also enjoyed a carryout meal from the basement bar on the front porch. I was especially impressed by the updated bathrooms and little touches like local chocolates in the room, mouthwash in the bathrooms, robes and so on. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We were treated to a champagne glass upon arrival that kicked the experience off on a high note. Overall, a memorable stay!

Such a beautiful Hotel. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. We walked the grounds reading up on the local history. Our room was beautiful and so clean and true to its Classic Hotal history.

Best old fashions around !

We stayed here for one night on our way through Montana and were very happy to stumble on the Sacajawea Hotel. The hotel has a ton of historic character that makes the hotel what it is. The feel, style, and age of the hotel provided for a great experience. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Upon your check-in the hotel provided a cool towel and glass of champagne. The lobby provides historic photos and a warm welcoming. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well furnished. The room was a bit small, but was able to hold a king sized bed. If your are in Three Forks looking for a place to stay, I would recommend this hotel for sure. Cheers Always!

I like the buffalo statue

WOW really nice I like the old fashion feel ,well the place is old but well kept it's like your staying back in history and I'm sure Lewis n Clark slept here because they've slept everywhere else in the area. The restaurant is really good and so is the bar. The place has a really big wrap around front porch you can sit on. The grounds are big and well groomed lots of weddings take place out back. Stop in

I'm a regular at the Sac Bar. I ordered the halibut from the upstairs restaurant this evening and it was amazing.

New menu, got rid of the garlic Parisian wings. I think not a good idea. They were the best wings in the state.

Horrible service. We were a party of six coming in for lunch on a Tuesday. We had a dog with us and…read moreasked if he was allowed. The server very rudely said no. We have a patio, but your dogs not allowed. That's fine as it's the restaurants rules. They could only accommodate us outside anyways. When we asked if they could put the two four tops together the server (older and blonde hair) said no but you can. Please bear in mind we had disabled relative whose mobility issues were very noticeable and had made the walk all the way to the patio. Our party decided that point to leave based on this server's attitude and service received before even ordering. None of this would normally warrant a negative review from me. The behavior by this same server after did. While I went at a slower pace outside with my disabled relative, the server was talking poorly about our party to another table stating they didn't need our business anyways and were fine with us leaving. This conversation continued for a few minutes. That right there is a red flag for any hospitality establishment and speaks poorly of their team and ownership. To be honest, this was probably a blessing in disguise as the food I saw on the few diners they actually had tables looked on par with microwaveable food. If you are thinking of other dining options, do yourself a favor and go with the alternative.

Great food Great…read morevibes Good service This place can be girls night out, dude meet up, family gatherings or date night. The wait is not that long.. we came here as walk in's 2x on our 1week stay that started in Bozeman, went down to Yellowstone, then to Idaho for UTV riding and then to Jackson Hole WY to go see the Teton National Park. It was nice to walk around the local shops while we waited and then afterwards to work off those delicious carbs. Thin crust pizzas clean, fresh, not heavy and seasonal ingredients. The crust is soooo good. Chewy and some char. We had: Montana Burger Royale My teen son dreams about this. Yes its 27.00 and he said its the BEST burger he's ever had. I would have to agree (and we live in Austin TX where there's great cow) -the burger meat melted in your mouth -the egg dripping as you break the yolk was perfection. The bacon so juicy, the brioche bun (that was the winning touch) We shared: Hot Honey Pizza- so good 9/10 Spicy Burrata- also great. 8/10 Mac n cheese- that was the only miss. Way under seasoned and the white sauce seemed to get sucked up by the pasta so the dish was super dry. 3/10 Frites and Fondue- fries were great. Thick cut with finely shaved pecorino. Could have used a heaping more of the shaved cheese. -the fondue was ok, seemed still under seasoned or just not creamy enough? I'd swap that for some roasted garlic with the truffle oil. 6/10 Local brews and ciders were great! 9/10 Huckleberry Cheesecake 9/10 save room for this bad boy. We split it between 4 people. Not too sweet. Tart and delightful! The world cup was on the TV so it was a hopping place even as it rained during a late June evening. Parking garage nearby is free for 2hrs so thats cool! Come DT BZN and support local!

Wasn't sure if we should order one or two because the sizing wasn't clear, but a lot of reviews mentioned the pizzas are more around the personal size. I'd say two people could probably share a pizza no problem. We got the vodka pizza, added Italian sausage, as well as the pepperoni. The three of us nearly polished off both pizzas. The pizzas were good, but the undercarriage was pretty floppy, which made me think it probably could have cooked maybe a tad bit longer. They have some good looking pasta dishes as well!

The atmosphere was great and made you feel transported to a different time. Incredibly tasty and on the heavier side Elk meatball- pretty good, but I enjoyed their mains more Smoked trout dip- pretty good, but I enjoyed their mains more bison short rib- incredibly tender and very flavorful. The more lean profile of the bison really showed out, and made me appreciate how much tastier bison is compared to beef Wapiti chops- incredibly tender and very flavorful, without being too gamey or fatty Elk and porcini ravioli- really good as well panzanella- balanced and fresh. very well done Service and atmosphere- 5 stars Food came out quickly and the servers and bartenders were really attentive. The cabin feel, the lighting, and all the taxidermy on the walls. I truly felt transported to what Montana is pictured to be. Incredible experience if you're around the area Bottom Line Excellent steakhouse at the Lone Mountain Ranch. The quintessential place to get the Montana experience
