Good wok hei, good flavor and distribution of meat and vegetables... the curry with eggplant was super delicious too. We plan to try everything on the menu eventually. Sabye has become one of our go to choices for Thai food, upscaled. The owner is personally involved in ensuring that everyone gets high-quality food and great service. We've tried so many different things on the menu, and some of them are unusual twists on what we find at other Thai restaurants - and amazing. We love the duck dishes and the pumpkin curry, in particular but haven't ever had anything from Sabye that we didn't like. They are great for both dine-in and takeout. read more

We go here as a department once in a while and they do great with large groups. Fast, efficient. The food is great! We all get different things, and everyone enjoys their dish. They do limit the number of split checks, so plan ahead. read more

They don't mess around with their spice! I ordered yellow curry at a one spice and it was definitely a medium at every other Thai food restaurant I've been to. My wife got two star medium spice on her pad Thai, and she couldn't even finish it, and she loves spicy Thai food. Otherwise, the food was delicious, and service was very fast. There was only one other table occupied in the restaurant Monday at 5 PM. Normally I would knock off a star for the misrepresentation of the spice level, but didn't have the heart for it. read more

Absolutely disgusting treatment from the owner/manager. I came here with my friend after work just to eat and relax. We paid for our food, but after noticing that we did not leave a tip, the owner literally came outside and started insulting me and talking badly about me. He told me not to come back again only because I didn't leave extra money. I am 18 years old and recently arrived in America. I barely understand English yet. My friend had to translate everything for me while this grown man was attacking and humiliating me over tips. Even after my friend explained that I am new here and still learning everything, he continued acting rude and disrespectful. This was one of the most humiliating experiences I've had since coming to the U.S. Nobody should be chased outside and insulted because they cannot afford or did not leave a tip. Tips are optional, not something you force from customers through intimidation and insults. If this is how this restaurant treats young customers and immigrants, people should know before coming here. Completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable behavior. read more

I'm writing this review as I'm sitting here waiting for my lunch to go. I'm not even waiting for after I finish the food to write this review because I know it'll be tasty. I've had food from Sabye probably over 20 times in the last 18 months or so. I live nearby and whenever I crave for Thai food, I order from here. There are other Thai restaurants in Sherwood, but the food and customer service have always been consistently great, so I prefer coming here. My picky 3 year old loves their food as well, so that's a big win for my family. We've had their duck dishes, ka prao (pork belly rice dish), pad see ew, sweet pancakes, and curry dishes and all have been delightful. Yum khao Todd with fried tofu is amazing. The service is excellent. The curry's can be a little on the bland side, we find the chicken tends to eat like it's poached in water, it's got that very white color you find sometimes and it doesn't pack a lot of flavor but just ask for spicy condiments and you'll have your pick of chili four ways! The owner always seems to be chatting up the frequent visitors but is expansive with everyone. read more

I told the server multiple times not to put ice in my Thai tea, even covered up the word iced on the menu and pointed to each item on the menu as I was telling her what I wanted, but she kept putting ice anyway. I suspect there was a language barrier since I don't know enough Thai to tell her in that language. The menu said I could add coconut milk jelly to any drink for $1. The server said they don't have coconut milk jelly, only coconut milk. So I ended up with half and half cold Thai tea and coconut milk and Spicy duck with white rice. I lived in Thailand for 3 months, so I know what Thai food tastes like over there, and this restaurant's food didn't taste authentic to me. It wasn't worth the $29 I paid for it in my opinion. I won't be back. At least the restaurant was clean, they had nice napkins, tables and chairs were in good condition, and the staff were trying to be pleasant with everyone hence the 2 star rating. read more

I was in the area and decided to try this Thai restaurant. Restaurant is not very big, 12 tables. Half of the tables were taken. Restaurantis very clean. Every time I go to a new Thai restaurant I order Stir Fry Eggplant with chicken medium spice. Not every place can make that dish right. This time the taste of my dish was beyond my expectations! It was absolutely delicious, right amount of spices, good size portion, and they sauce was so amazing I had to scoop it of the plate with a spoon to finish all of it! Service is very friendly. The owner came around all tables to ask how people are doing, and how was their food. I left 30+% tip for great service and food! If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would absolutely do that. Super friendly establishment but unfortunately quality/recipes too inconsistent to keep this a regular restaurant in our books. We normally order their special pork belly pad Thai- sometimes it's way too sweet, sometimes it's on point, sometimes it's overly sauced making it salty- a great dish when it's made properly but someone is often too heavy handed with the ingredients... same goes with their fried rice. The only dish that's been consistent for us is their yellow curry. Wish this was enough to keep us coming back but not anytime soon. read more

We arrived a few minutes prior to opening on a Sunday. We were welcomed and encouraged to "hang out" inside (chose our table) until the kitchen was ready. We had shrimp pad Thai, sautéed chicken skewers with peanut sauce and Sabye Thai salad. ALL was delicious . They were busy and most tables were full when we left. I really wanted to like this place -- the food quality itself isn't terrible. The flavors are decent, ingredients seem fresh, and the presentation looks okay (considering a pickup order). But the portion sizes for the price are unbelievably small. I ordered pickup for $59 total, and what I got honestly felt like a joke: * A so-called "dumpling" appetizer that should be renamed to-- super mini. It could fit in the palm of your hand and be gone in two bites. My 6y old had it before and they were much bigger size , like 10 but now this is definitely 8 miniatures , bit bigger then a quarter coin- unreal. * A Pad Thai with beef that came with six ultra-thin, see-through slices of beef -- barely any protein at all. * A Tom Yum soup ($19!) that had three shrimp (3) total floating around in a pint size container. * A Thai street chicken fried rice with maybe seven slivers of chicken, also nearly transparent. I've had plenty of Thai food in the area, and this is by far the worst value I've seen. The food tastes fine -- but at these prices, you expect a real meal, not an appetizer portion for one. I'll be posting photos and the receipt to back this up, because it's not an exaggeration. For $59, this should've easily fed two people. Instead, I was still hungry afterward. If SABYE wants to stay competitive in Sherwood, they seriously need to fix their portion sizes or lower their prices. Right now, it feels like a rearip-off. read more

Very fun and inventive Thai restaurant! The spicy Prik Khing Catfish was the favorite with the spicy sauce, fried Catfish and green beans. Second favorite was the stir fried mango paradise with beef. Nicely spiced and flavored well! Daughter got her favorite pad Thai but that seemed under seasoned to me. The chicken wings were small and disappointing. This is such a great spot with excellent food and wonderful service. I read their reviews and know that I had to try this place. I was not disappointed. The place is clean and not too big or small. We were greeted and seated quickly. Ordered the mini dumplings - savory and flavorful. The shrimp salad rolls were fresh. The pad see ew was perfect- but the best dish was the Cornish Hen it's called Gai Tod Hat Yai. Perfectly crisp and juicy. Their sauces are also good.
