Beef enchiladas, rice and beans
Don P.

Relatively new opening in a small strip mall, thus, you'll need to pay attention in order to find it when driving in that area. It was lunch time yet I was the only customer the entire time. It was not an auspicious beginning as the salsa and chips were lack luster at best, the salsa was virtually favorless and a bit watery compared to others I've had. They did bring a spicier version when I asked that was much better quite good in fact. The beef enchiladas were very flavorful, as was the refried beans and rice, I must commend them on that plate as it was really very good. Price are moderate, service was very friendly and attentive.

Consomé - A disposable bowl contains a serving of consomé soup with a clear, reddish broth, herbs, and vegetables. The bowl is placed on a speckled countertop, and some herbs and broth have spilled onto the rim of the bowl. The soup appears to include ingredients like cilantro, vegetables, and possibly meat or tofu.

Ordered birria tacos. No flavor and the consomé was so oily and thin not a thick consistency and also not seasoned

Beware - birria tacos are NOT part of the lunch special. - The flyer displays the logo of Sabores Mexican restaurant at the top, with a decorative floral design. It lists lunch specials, notably birria tacos made with beef brisket, priced at $5.99, and provides details about the dish. The flyer also includes contact information, website, and address, along with a section highlighting authentic Mexican dishes served with rice, beans, and tortillas, such as carne asada and grilled sirloin tips.

3 stars due to (debatable) false advertisement, otherwise would be 4. We ordered takeout from here to try Birria tacos for the first time. I was really excited because the menu states that lunch specials are $6 -- the first menu item (in the same text box) listed underneath is Birria Tacos ($9). So of course, we assumed that meant that during the lunch special, you can get 3 birria tacos with consome for $6. But apparently not. I guess there is a separate menu of lunch specials which is not available on the online menu?? Not sure. Judge for yourself how the menu should have been interpreted - I've included the picture. We tried the birria tacos and it was pretty good! The consommé that came with it was delish too. The tacos themselves were small but filling. The bonus salsa was also decent.

ordered online and went to the store to pick it up about 15 minutes after my order. They had some sort of issue with their printer printing on top of other orders, so they never started cooking our order. I waited patiently while they prepared our take out about another 10 minutes. Once they brought the food out they said we were all set. Rushed home to eat and of course a part of or order was missing. I called the store and they did bring the other part of the order to our house (they don't deliver typically). Food tasted pretty good but portions seemed small for the price. Salsa was very spicy and watery, did not like it at all. Guacamole was OK. Would have thought they would have thrown in a free taco for the issues, especially being a new establishment but nope. Don't know if I'll try them again solely on the customer service issue. For a new establishment you'd think they'd be spot on making sure things are correct.

Great tacos for a fair price. Had a lot of flavor for the price of a McDonald's lunch

Last time I was in Springfield, MA I had the best birria tacos, unfortunately I couldn't find the name of the restaurant where I had those tacos but I found this food truck with some good reviews and I have to try it. This food truck did not disappoint me. I got some birria tacos and some regular tacos. The service was Fast and very good. The food was amazing. The birria tacos portions were great and the flavor was super tasty. Definitely this is a gem in the city of Springfield.

All of the food was hot and delicious my family really enjoyed it. We asked for extra hot sauce and he gave us plenty which was so appreciated! I wish I got a picture of the churros there were several pieces and hot and crispy absolutely delicious! The chicken quesadilla from here is by far the best I have ever tried! The quality of the cheese and seasoning on the meat with onions and cilantro was so delicious! And they give a roasted pepper that is actually SPICY which was exactly what I was looking for! This is absolutely my favorite taco truck in Massachusetts and I would definitely travel to Springfield for it, gladly! Highly recommend.

There are a ton of holes in the wall that looks like someone had the intention of repairing and painting over and then just lost interest. Food? Looked really promising!! Burritos were pretty massive so I was pretty excited. They come out looking good, well prepared as far as the tortilla isn't coming apart. They did a good job putting together a burrito that wouldn't fall apart. But that's it. The rice is prepackaged, stale, fake yellow rice that has a weird, off putting flavor, I got carnitas and my wife got carne asada, neither tasted like anything at all. The carnitas ( a slow roasted pork ) honestly tasted like a pork tenderloin that had been thrown in a crock pot with zero seasoning. The bits in my burrito were grey and honestly off putting. I had really high hopes. Went out of my way because I have heard pretty decent things about this place. Saying I was underwhelmed is about as complimentary as I can be.

The food was delicious and the margaritas were both tasty and potent. Free chips and salsa, with the added plus for me being that regardless of which taco plate I chose, they gave me the option of crunchy (hard shell) tacos, which I prefer. The service was also attentive and courteous. I think someone had commented that this is not a first date venue, but for a casual dining experience it will work. Over the years, I've vacationed in Mexico and worked for Big Sugar in Belle Glade, so I'm no stranger to authentic Mexican cuisine. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a friendly "¡Hola!"--spoken w passion. Luckily, I know enough conversational Spanish to keep up, and I was seated near the front of the restaurant. The colorful menu practically told me what to order: Sopa de Camarones, Birria Tacos, and a fresh Jugo de Melón (watermelon juice). The waitress was incredibly welcoming and soon returned with a basket of warm tortilla chips and three kinds of salsa. That's when I knew--I had found the real deal. One salsa was mild, the second had a medium kick, and the third--an orange one--was pure fire . I laughed to myself and thought, "Yup, this is going to be good." And it was. All three salsas were absolutely delicious. Then came the food: a steaming bowl of shrimp soup and a plate of mouthwatering birria tacos. The smell alone made my stomach growl. The shrimp broth was rich and flavorful--absolutely hypnotic. I'd order it again without hesitation. As for the tacos? I smothered them in the green salsa and devoured them so fast, it was like I was drinking them. I was that hungry--and they were that good. This was the first truly authentic Mexican meal I've had since leaving South Florida. I'll definitely be coming back.
