Oh heck yeah! I'm a Texan living in Western Mass and this place is giving me some homey vibes. I ordered a tostada (veggie), pechuga a la plancha (grilled chicken breast), and churros. Y'all this was the first time since I've been up here that anyone has asked if I wanted them filled!! I had truly given up on filled churros but here Sabores is giving me life. Alright, so I dig in to my tostada and it's crunchy and well topped. The only recommendation would be to add more beans to my veggie tostada. Next the chicken... y'all this chicken did not die in vain. Mmmhmm this was well seasoned and perfectly portioned, and like any respectable Mexican entree this came with homemade corn tortillas. A recommendation for my main plate would be a little more chicken bouillon (knorr - porfavor) to the rice and I would prefer my tortillas cooked a little longer (burned around the edges - trust me) and everything would be finger lickin' good. Ooooh weeeee! Ok settle down now, we're coming up to dessert -- churros. She asked "would you like them filled" and I had to ask her to repeat herself... do my ears deceive me? Did she... did she just ask me IF I would like them FILLED?!!! Oh my word! Yes! A thousand times yes, but I had to play it cool y'all (as best as I could) and I followed up with another question... "what type of fillings do y'all got?" She said they only had one and although it was not the type I had hoped for (cajeta -- obviously) I still ordered the filled and non-filled for the table. Don't play yourself though, y'all know the filled kind is the way to go. Ok so my churros arrive... can you tell which part of my order I was most excited about? Yeah, me neither... ok so my churros arrive and they are hot, they are fresh out the fryer y'all. The sugar-to-cinnamon ratio was perfectly coating every bite of that churro (both filled and non (but keep up y'all we both know which one I'm describing). The warm filling oozed out of my very last bite but as a seasoned churro connoisseur -- I was ready for it. Relatively new opening in a small strip mall, thus, you'll need to pay attention in order to find it when driving in that area. It was lunch time yet I was the only customer the entire time. It was not an auspicious beginning as the salsa and chips were lack luster at best, the salsa was virtually favorless and a bit watery compared to others I've had. They did bring a spicier version when I asked that was much better quite good in fact. The beef enchiladas were very flavorful, as was the refried beans and rice, I must commend them on that plate as it was really very good. 3 stars due to (debatable) false advertisement, otherwise would be 4. We ordered takeout from here to try Birria tacos for the first time. I was really excited because the menu states that lunch specials are $6 -- the first menu item (in the same text box) listed underneath is Birria Tacos ($9). So of course, we assumed that meant that during the lunch special, you can get 3 birria tacos with consome for $6. But apparently not. I guess there is a separate menu of lunch specials which is not available on the online menu?? Not sure. Judge for yourself how the menu should have been interpreted - I've included the picture. Best for takeaway though they have tables outside and inside. They seem short staffed so if you choose to eat at the restaurant expect slow service. Not many good Mexican spots in this area. ordered online and went to the store to pick it up about 15 minutes after my order. They had some sort of issue with their printer printing on top of other orders, so they never started cooking our order. I waited patiently while they prepared our take out about another 10 minutes. Once they brought the food out they said we were all set. Rushed home to eat and of course a part of or order was missing. I called the store and they did bring the other part of the order to our house (they don't deliver typically). Food tasted pretty good but portions seemed small for the price. Salsa was very spicy and watery, did not like it at all. Guacamole was OK. Would have thought they would have thrown in a free taco for the issues, especially being a new establishment but nope. Don't know if I'll try them again solely on the customer service issue. For a new establishment you'd think they'd be spot on making sure things are correct. read more

Everything I read about this place rang true on my first visit. I placed a telephone order on Cinco de Mayo for a bunch of tacos and was told 10 minutes. I showed up about 15 minutes later and was presented with my food, delicious and crispy. The young man who took my order and rang me out was very pleasant. I can't wait to go back and order from here again. Ordered both chicken and beef tacos. They both were tasty and had a good flavor. The salsa was spicy and just the right consistency. I did not have a watery salsa as another reviewer mentioned. I will update my review when I return for round 2 and try some different foods. I'm looking forward to their empanadas, anything with chorizo, and queso fundido. I did avoid ordering online, because the only negative reviews on Yelp indicated they had issues ordering online. I have been to their "sister" restaurant, Moctezuma, MANY times, and now I can formally give the same amazing rating to Sabores. Quality, quality food and soooo tasty! It would be easy to drive past this place and never give it a chance, but you'd be missing out! A low key, home cooked meal, BYOB kind of place where the menu, decor, and staff are all Mexican. Win!! I ordered enchiladas traditional which came with rice and refried beans. Pretty standard Mexican dish made with hand rolled enchiladas but they were stuffed full of chicken and had the perfect amount of sauce on top. I also ordered two tamales. As much as I enjoyed the enchiladas, I wanted to drown in tamales. They were so delicious. Could have used a little sauce to help wash it down, but oh boy where those yummy! Even the salsa was good! 10/10 would recommend dine-in or take out. Perfect for a date night if you like quaint, hole in the wall type joints. Disappointing at best. I ordered Enchiladas with red mole sauce, which I specifically asked the server about. It came out with green. I asked and was told that it's the end of the night so that's what they had, despite my specific order. I sent it back without ordering a replacement. My kids had quesadillas. They were okay, but the accompanying rice was cold. I have gift certificates to use up, otherwise I'd never come back!!! It's nothing special and we'll head back to Frontera... P.S. I was so excited to try this place. This is my main issue with this place. We ordered at 6pm. They said "25 mins" we show up at 6:30. My fiancé goes in, pays and waits. Since our meal was well over $40 for 3 people, he was waiting. FOR AN HOUR!!! We waited in total, 95 mins for our food. She kept saying "in a minute" and disappeared into the back. One woman asked for a refund and was refused. She didn't want to wait, and I don't blame her. It was hot, my baby was waiting for food and incredibly impatient. There was no social distancing inside, everyone was cramped into a tiny front space. The food was a hit and miss. My son had the kids chicken taco, and he loved it. I had some of it and it was tasty. I ordered the beef chimichanga and I inhaled it. I thought it was really good. I wish they had more sides than rice and refríes beans. My fiancé got the steak fajitas and was not impressed. He said the flavor was "okay" but they didn't give him any tortillas, salsa, or cheese. Everywhere we've always gotten fajitas always gives at least a few basics. We did buy an appetizer of chips and salsa. The chips were okay, the salsa was too spicy for me but my fiancé loved it and ended up using our appetizer to add to his fajitas (we had tortillas at home thankfully!) Mine and my son's food are the ONLY reason they got a second star. I don't think they're capable of handling takeout. Hopefully when covid is over I can try them again because I did enjoy the food. We ordered here tonight. No delivery available but I am good with that. The kitchen was definitely busy. We used the online ordering system which was fine since I can't pronounce too many of the traditional dishes but love them! We ordered 3 chicken quesadillas, an Empanada, and the Pechuga a la Plancha. My girls all loved their quesadillas and the traditional dish (mine) was simply amazing. I would eat from this restaurant every day if I could!! I only order take out on their website and have never had a problem. The food is always hot and ready when I arrive and the staff is very friendly. They have the absolute best burritos and tacos (soft and hard both) I also always get the vanilla cream filled churros too. They're so amazing that I haven't been to a Taco Bell since the first time I ordered here. Just opened Mexican spot. Ordered takeout. Food was ready as promised in 15 minutes. Portions were very generous....we were stuffed. Chicken enchiladas were very good....the shredded chicken was very flavorful & there was lots of it stuffed in the enchiladas. Homestyle chicken quesadillas were also excellent....not a giant flour tortilla style but rather three handmade corn tortillas stuffed & folded in half. A handmade corn tortilla really makes everything better!! Everything served with Mexican rice & homemade beans. Guac was good. Salsa was good....different than your standard salsa....a little more watery with chopped up ingredients & spicy. Good stuff though. Good homemade tortilla chips. Friendly service. Very clean inside.
