I came here with a few co workers and my idea was to do dinner but one of my co workers suggested here. It was more of a resteraunt-lounge. I can't complain but after a long day of work I wanted to relax and with the loud music we couldnt even hear . The music was okay. I don't speak Spanish but their were some songs I knew. I loved the whole white theme going on inside . Very nice ! And the service was good as well. I really loved my drink the "remy lover" I love remy so I was so happy they had a mixed drink (not alot of places have). Also very strong so worth the money . To eat I had a steak which came with rice beans and fried and sweet banana . All so delicious and a huge portion so I had just enough to take home . The steak was cooked great! So I'm giving the 3 stars for the food and the drink. read more

I've been ordering here for time now because they do deliver late nights, unfortunately they always get the order wrong. If you try to order from Uber eats and instructions you give, they ignore it. No utensils or simply ketchup on the side. Honestly there are better businesses else where that will take care of you. read more

I went yesterday with my bff and I have to say the food was excellent. They had the 2x1 blue Hawaiian and it tasted excellent. We had the grilled chicken and the chicken was not dry. My bff has cheesecake and it tasted so good. We had the Henny Latino and Longito and it was good. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This place was my place to go to specially since i live in the area but food quality has really gone DOWN! I ordered 3 orders of fried calamari and honestly they were discussing, not well fried, literally felt like i was chewing rubber and man what a WIRED TASTE and they were my favorite item in the menu, what a shame, service is still good and drinks too though.' read more

My friends and I had a great time while seated outside. We were served promptly and the server was EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE. Like, whoa. The popcorn is warm and buttery! The tortilla chip with spicy yellow-colored dip was amazing, and I'll definitely be back for dinner someday. The interior seating area appears a bit more for those who enjoy loud music and flashing lights during a meal/drinks. I strongly prefer sitting outside under the protective "scaffold." Being able to speak Spanish helped a lot, but the servers spoke English and were friendly nonetheless. read more

Oh Boy, where do I begin?? My best buddy has been talking about taking me to have Ecuadorian food with him for months as a way of exposing me to half of his culture. So one Thursday, after work, we met up and took a short walk to Sabor Latino (random but awesome location right by the 7 train). It was a nice night so we chose to sit outside, which is always a nice experience. Our table was full so please bear with me while I describe each plate: Calamares Fritos: Fried calamari, who doesn't love it? This place did it right Salads: Small plate on the side, could have done without it but it was a nice addition Mote Pillo y Carne de Cerdo Asada: If you've never had the puffed corn Ecuadorian style, I highly recommend you get it prepared this way. My friend got the Hornado, with the dried fried corn and it didn't have much of a flavor. We each had pork prepared a different way, the meat was delicious and prepared so well, all the flavors were great. We also had cappuccinos and tiramisu for dessert, very yummy. Our waiter seemed nervous but he was nevertheless extremely attentive and helpful. Cannot wait to go back and try another great Ecuadorian dish, as long as there's mote pillo on my plate I'll be happy :) read more

We went to this Sabor Latino on Saturday 7pm, when we arrived it was fairly empty. We were a party of 13 people celebrating my mothers birthday. The waiter Gerardo at first was semi pleasant. But that all changed as the evening progressed. We ordered sangria, water and mora juices along with calamari as appetizers. The sangria arrived first and foremost, the other drinks took a while to arrive. (The sangria flowed the entire night) Our appetizers left much to be desired- the plating of the food is great but the quality and quantity for the price is way off. The rest of our party arrived at 7:30- we all placed out ours Hornado, Fritada, ceviche, churassco, carne frita, fritada- we had a variety as we were a large party. The food took well over an hour and a half to arrive and once it did, most of it was cold or semi warm. While the food and drinks were being served Gerardo spilled water on people's shoulders, he was asked for thing and never brought them. We sent back the churassco and one of the carne fritas as it was cold, yet undercooked to the point that if you poked it it was still bleeding. I spoke to the head waiter as coincidentally the manager had just stepped out. He assured me that the meats would be cooked properly and that we would be bettered served as we had asked for water, lemon and hot sauce for our meals and never received either thing. Once the meat plates returned the one plate the meat was now burnt and the other was the same meat and still under cooked. The bill was well over $400 making the gratuity over $60 for horrible customer service and food. I will not be returning to this establishment as they clearly showed us that our patronage was not welcomed. read more

I was here this past weekend for a friends birthday didn't even know this club / lounge was around & since it doesn't come up on yelp as "SLlounge" I couldn't check in Lol. This place is a separate restaurant upstairs & a lounge below, The restaurant & lounge have separate entrances & fee's to get in. For the restaurant the entrance is on the street level the lounge u go around & down the stairs. Came by on a Saturday & the place was pretty packed , not too happy about having to pay to get in but at least it wasn't bad $15 for admission. The party was in the VIP area near the bar , not very big but big enough I guess. Decent size place enough room to dance in the middle with plenty of seating in the surrounding area for tables & bottle service. Aside from the bottle service , I ended up getting a few beers at the bar minimum for credit cards is $15 cheap in comparison to a lot of places I had some Modelo on tap $7 a glass not bad beer was really cold always a plus. Music wise it was good when it was good , the DJ was all over the place which is pretty annoying on its own but I did like the fact that they played a variety of music from hip hop, Latin of course & even some house music which I'd have to say because of where this place is I wasn't expecting it. Decent service at the bar probably helps if u speak Spanish since it seemed to me that they didn't quite speak English. Overall we ended up having a good time this place surprised me it was fun , I'd come back. read more

This place sucks! I dont know who is writing reviews for this place but they seem biased. Food was not worth it. We got the seafood fried rice and chicken and rice and beans with eggs - all of which were served luke warm. Service was terrible! We went on a Thursday and they sat us next to the lounge area I guess. Then they proceeded to rush us out because the lounge opens at 10 with a $10 pp charge. It was 9 PM! We paid our bill but was finishing up drinks when multiple waitresses approached us to tell us to leave or pay! Wtf! There were other patrons still eating but no one bothered them. We felt discriminated against. Soooo not worth the trip out there. read more

Just went here tonight for my mom's birthday. She'd been craving Ecuadorian food and we wanted to take her somewhere nice. My mother born and raised in Guayaquil was the person to win over. This place has gone through several changes over the years and the most recent was in decor. It looks better. We were seated in a small booth. It was four of us. Given we had heavy winter coats it was a bit tight but was fine. We started with drinks. It was happy hour. The drinks were disappointing. We tried the sangria and a drink called Jack Daniel's punch. The punch tasted just like punch minus the Jack. The sangria was stronger better than the cocktail. We didn't order any appetizers. We ordered our main courses: El churrasco, chuleta frita, la bandeja montañera and el seco de gallina. We were expecting sub-par food. The quality was well above that. Authentic and tasty. My mother approved, good enough for us. For my mom's birthday they brought a flan with a candle and a big sparkler. Very cute. They even played happy birthday on the sound system for her. Ee enjoyed or visit here. Good food, great service. We will definitely be going back. read more

This is an awesome restaurant! I am Ecuadorian myself and would definitely recommend everybody to come check this place out. The space is HUGE! I didn't think it would be so spacious. There is a lot of room for people to get up and dance. Can be split as a restaurant/lounge. It has a good environment, with a variety of music, but mostly spanish music like salsa and merengue. The only complaint I have is that the music is pretty loud at times. They also have events planned out for the weekends and Friday nights I believe. The staff seemed pretty good, always asking if you need anything else. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. I had encebollado de pescado, which is like a fish soup kinda, and very good! Came with a side of rice which you can mix together or just eat on your own. The rice is also delicious, reminded me of the way my grandmother makes it. The drinks seem okay though, I tried a sip of a mojito and it wasn't all that great but perhaps the other drinks are better. They also have wine, which was like $6 a glass I believe. And of course, they have the traditional Ecuadorian drinks, including Tropical; a strawberry flavored soda that is made in Ecuador :) So come and check out the delicious dishes my beautiful country has to offer! read more

My overall rating is 3 stars and here is why: Food wise: I could give it a 4 stars, the food was good, I don't think it was amazing for the price. Also, the portions are not as big as I expected. I've had better Ecuadorian food for a lower price. Service wise: is the reason why I won't be returning back here. We had 2 pm reservations on a Sunday. Our waitress Lorena really sucks :( First she took our drink orders and disappeared. We finally ordered our food and it came out 45 minutes to an hour later. My whole group of 11 people were complaining. Our $350 bill wasn't bad but service is everything and definitely not worth the amount we paid. read more

Please be careful this place is a scam - what you need to know - one the tip is already added to the bill so the waiters dont give a F$&( about you or your party - two if you want a glass of water get ready to spend $5.00 dollars unlike every other restaurant these bloodsucker dont believe in giving folks a glass of water but a cheap ass nestle bottle of water - 3 you are gonna have to ask for almost evrything beacuase tables will be missing the salt and pepper bottles - forks napkins well you get the pic. 4 ohhhh the so called shows only 5 songs at around 2am and that will cost you over $400.00 yes thats right $400.00 - guys you have to paid to use the restroom!!!! Go at your own risk - they dont give a shit about you but your money and after you paid they will bring security to your table and kick you out as you are still eating. read more

Ecuadorian restaurant - food is great and served beautifully! Wait staff are extremely friendly and courteous and speak English. I had the ceviche de camaron. They also have a kids menu. read more

As Ecuadorean, I admit some dishes are very typical, which is good, been there 3 times, yesterday service was below average...food was ok, my gf had her usual (guatita) I have tried before the Plato bandera, how ever the goat dish is salty both times and, feels microwaved. My gf is from the Philippines but love the, guatita, so I take her there. Ok...location, decor, ambience, service, and food presentation. -the restaurant is conveniently around the corner from the 7train station Junction Blvd. - for the location it look good, -it has a family ambience, wish they can play music that is not for parties...or too loud, it would be great,if they play traditional folk Ecuadorean music. -service is average, and wish they dont include tips I am usually generous. -food presentation...they have good presentation, however! some little things mess it up...such as the fried noodle placed almost in every dish, looks like a baton for a Shepperd...the hen soup is really good but I wish they did not have to bring the broth on a glass as if serving wine. Goat disg twice was salty and tasted microwaved. _but food is good overall I would recommend this place. read more

Been here a few times with family and friends but yesterday was a disappointment. First the kids ordered pineapple juice and were served orange juice and when it was brought to the waitress' attention she brought back something that was neither orange juice or pineapple juice. We ordered a mixed meat picada and a seafood picada. The presentation was great but was not impressive or anything any of us would order again. The fish was good but salty. The chimichurri was pesto. There was more french fries than anything. We had the waitress bring a tres leche for my dad's birthday and it was great because music came on, a Roman candle looking like a mini 4th of July. We were handed another table's check which was double ours. Next time we will stick to the ceviche! read more

If you want delicious food and an unexpected and different environment from your usual Corona--or Queens--restaurants, Sabor Latino is a pretty good place to be. It's easy to miss since it's on a hidden street by Roosevelt but once you go, it's hard to forget. It provides the comfort foods of Ecuadorian cuisine, but also offers other South American dishes like the Bandeja Montañera--or what is known as Bandeja Paisa for Colombians. They also have ribeye steak, baked salmon, a more citric version of chicken francese, as well as salad that you can add pretty much any kind of protein to (and the passion fruit dressing is great). This time I tried El Charro sushi from their new sushi options. The roll itself had kani, cream cheese, and avocado inside, and sat on a generous amount of guacamole and pico de gallo with tortilla chips. The price you pay at Sabor Latino for one of their sushi fusion dishes is less than what you might pay for a less elaborate and less filling sushi roll elsewhere. My friend had the Churrasco Ecuatoriano which was steak with sauteed onions, peppers, and tomatoes accompanied by sunny side up eggs, rice, fries, and salad. The entrees might seem pricey but you're definitely getting your money's worth of food in both quantity and quality. For dessert, we had the chocolate passionfruit mousse and the torta de maqueño. The mousse was fluffy and silky, perfectly sweetened, and had marshmallow fluff on top. The torta de maqueño is pretty much the plaintain version of bread pudding with added cheese. It might sound strange but cheese and plantains--whether in a sweet or savory context--is always a happy marriage in Latin treats. This is my favorite dessert here, but they are constantly offering different dessert specials so be on the look out. As for the decor and the service, I give both high marks. The waiters are attentive and if you go on Sundays the whole place is decorated with traditional Ecuadorian patterned table cloths, artisan masks and baskets. (The restaurant also offers a complementary appetizer). The waiters are also dressed in national outfits. It is quite the experience whether you go with an entire family or a friend or a date. Other dishes worth ordering are the Mote Pillo (grilled pork with hominy corn sauteed in a tasty scrambled egg, achiote, onion concoction), the Guatita (tripe in a peanut butter sauce), and the Cazuela (a thick seafood stew made of peanut butter). Definitely worth a visit on your cheat day or any day of the week! read more

Night club review: This place is a f****** scam. Avoid this shitty place like the plague. Shitty place. Came here while reserving the birthday package. They did everything they could to not give us the package we ordered, meanwhile we received a confirmation from Andrew at this place and ended up paying more money because of it. Also, they took a seat from us, when we had in our reservation 12 people. Going to report them to BBB. Oh and by the way, they did not want to give a receipt, even upon request. read more

Although the food tastes good, the service is so poor that the experience is ruined. You have to flag someone to sit you down, flag someone to take your order, and flag someone down to pay. No one comes to check how the food is, if you need more water or anything. Even for a party of two they auto-populate tip despite the lack of any service. Again the food was not bad but on both visits the service was non-existent. That's more than enough confirmation for me that it wasn't a bad night the first time. You can find the same food with better service elsewhere. read more
