Pechuga Apanada aka Breaded Crispy Chicken Breast plate!

Very friendly greeting and pleasant service! Great menu with chicken, beef and seafood dishes. Huge portions! Tried the breaded chicken breast which came with fries, plantains, rice and beans. All very filling and just like you would expect at a lovely meal at the home of a talented chef. Very family friendly! I feel like if my grandmother was Colombian then this would be served for Sunday dinner!

I had only been to Sabor once, and I haven't had Columbian food before to compare it to, but my general impressions were pretty good. The man who was our server was very friendly and didn't mind all the questions I asked him. Based off the stuff I liked he affirmed my selection of entrée which was very good, the country platter. The prices for this place were also excellent, you're paying over 10 an entrée but just over for the most part. As for the reviewer who said this place was both expensive and dishes where 12 a plate, I'm not really sure what they pay for dinner in Texas, but in NJ 12 a dinner it pretty damn cheap. Also this place is extremely casual. If you were wearing a shirt and jeans i think your on par for attire. As for the establishment we went for dinner and they had a decent sized crowed, it wasn't packed but there were a few big tables full of people. Our table was 9 alone so it seemed like a lot of big groups came here and they accommodated them well. All in all I think I would like to come back here and try some of their other dishes.

    Chicharrones or more like grease

The food was not flavorful. TASTELESS. At all. Which is disappointing for a Latin restaurant. We ordered two orders of the tostonsitos that came guacamole and chicharrones, when we got them it was all grease no meat, which they exchanged after we explained to the waitress that we weren't going to pay for just grease. Our total was 90 bucks which if the food was good I would not have complained about, but honestly? I've had better food from fast food places. Update: My sister, friend and I all got sick. We felt our stomachs upset, got nauseous and threw up our $90 meal. Definitely NEVER returning to this place again.

    Sunday lunch.

Let me start by saying, as someone who is not a native Spanish speaker, I did not feel very welcome at this restaurant. The establishment had two entrances. We had entered at the bar entrance. No one had directed us as to where to go. We decided to move on our own to the restaurant area where we were finally directed to stay ourselves. My girlfriend had ordered the trout frances and I ordered the bandeja montañera. I am a fan of imported sodas, so I ordered the manzana soda. server warned me I may not like it, but I assured him I still wanted the drink. After about 15 minutes, the couple sitting behind us, whose order was taken about 5 minutes after our order, was served their food before we were. Also note they had ordered the same dishes as us. After another 10 minutes, we inquired another server about our food. Our food came shortly afterwards. We knew our order was forgotten as the good was served lukewarm. The bandeja montañera was good, but it's a typical dish I could order elsewhere. There was nothing special that would make me want to return for it. The sauce of the trout frances was good, but because it was boned, it made it difficult to eat. In all it was "okay". Our main complaint was the service. On top of forgetting our order, when asking for another pepper shaker because there was red "gunk" on top, I received this response along with attitude "why, cause it looks weird". In summary, the food was good/okay, but because of the service, I don't see us coming back.

Everything that left over... NOTHING.. It was delicious.

Very good, tasty food. Good price, and a slightly nicer sit down restaurant for Colombian food. The chicken in garlic sauce was delicious.

The best kept secret in Dover!…read more My boyfriend and I came here by chance when we were in Dover craving yuca fries, and since then, we've been hooked! We even came here to eat two days in a row once hahah Prices can't be beat, food is high quality deliciousness, and employees are extremely nice. You really get more bang for your buck when you order Bandeja Paisa, Especial de Bandeja, or the Calentado Paisa. They're all a little different but they each come with a variation of your choice of meat (grilled beef, chicken, pork, or chicarron) with rice, beans, egg, and corn patty in addition to whatever makes each dish different. For example: Bandeja Paisa includes grilled beef, chorizo, AND chicharron; Especial de Bandeja includes maduros and a beverage. Those options are all between $9-$12.50 AND the portions are huge!!! Sometimes when we don't want to get a huge platter like the ones listed above, we'll even opt for ordering multiple sides to make our own "platters" lol. I've ordered sides of yuca fries, chorizo, rice, and the Caldo de Costilla (beef rib broth - $4 under the breakfast menu) and be SUPER full at a super cheap price! ALSO! They have the best pink sauce and hot sauce ever. I don't know what it is about it, but it's just sooo good and flavorful. The pink sauce is very garlicy and the hot sauce has a nice kick and a slight vinegar-y taste. Mmm. I can't rave enough about this place. It's a tiny restaurant though so tables are limited (especially with COVID-19 social distancing in place), but if you have a chance to dine in, do it! They also offer take-out. Highly recommend!

For starters, the chicken is flavorful, fresh and always on point. The rice and beans as well, but french fries are always a miss - stale and floppy - but the chicharron makes up for it! The only downside here: if you don't speak Spanish, you're screwed with both placing the order and picking up primarily due to it being a family owned establishment in a heavily populated Latin/Hispanic community. I've tried calling in a handful of times and have been put on hold for a while or hung up on after a few tries. It's pretty tough to have a conversation with them primarily due to the loud background noise and distant tone picked up by their touch less headsets the employees wear. It can get a bit frustrating if you're not able to speak moderate Spanish, but the alternative is just order Uber Eats or DoorDash, honestly lol it's still so worth it though!
