Pozole from Sabor A Mi on Horizon Ridge in Henderson - condiments not shown but delicious too.
Ramona E.

Generous portions and the pozole was just like Mom's. Highly recommend this for your next breakfast, lunch or dinner and the service is superb too. I really liked the spa music in the evening so relaxing.

I placed an order to go for a hot bowl of menudo. Ordering was easy peasy and service was quick. There was so much tripe and the broth is super flavorful. Upon entering the restaurant there is a strong cleaning agent smell but I was in and out. I also ordered the pina again fresca and they t was very refreshing. This is super close to home and I plan on coming back to try the street tacos.

Always drive past here & decided to stop here for lunch. Tucked away in a plaza...it had a lively TV show on & a couple of booths. I ordered at the counter the asada taco plate with rice & beans. It was sooo good! And I loved their green sauce...so put it all over the tacos. Highly recommend for great tacos!! Will definitely be back.

Sabor A Mi, Sabor A Mi / Try it for Taco Tuesday / It's tasty and will save you some green - inspired by Nickelback Sabor A Mi is a Mexican spot in a quiet Henderson plaza that is only really open for breakfast and lunch. They may have slacked on updating their hours the first time I tried to visit, which was in the early evening, but they were definitely open today during traditional peak lunch. I read their Yelp description and expected a Taco Tuesday deal, and I certainly got one. The pricing is a bit odd and higher than posted, with most of the tacos ringing up at $1.62 each. Perhaps paying with cash instead of a card would correct this? That said, it's not worth obsessing over pennies when the cabeza (+$0.51) is so damn delicious. The meat is tender, fatty, and generously portioned. Make sure to use some of the salsa bar items (preferably lime, mild tomatillo salsa, and pickled red onion for me) to complement the three bites of meat, doubled tortillas, and onion and cilantro. Al pastor and carnitas are also great options. The al pastor doesn't have pineapple, but it's seasoned so nicely that you won't miss it. The carnitas was a big portion and wasn't dry. I actually preferred the medium house salsa (the red one) with the carnitas even though it made me sweat. I ended up trying chorizo after being informed that the birria wasn't available. The sausage seemed to be broken pieces of actual sausage with the casing, which was cool. I thought the flavor was a bit intense and kinda pungent though. Fortunately, the radish slices were useful in taming everything. The only disappointment was the carne asada. The protein portion was small, and they didn't carry much flavor on top of being mostly dry and tough. Skip it. Cups for water were available, and with lime being available at the salsa bar, a little fresh lime juice was the perfect touch. This place is counter-service, so don't expect anything fancy. They have a whole section of the menu dedicated to breakfast, including some ubiquitous stews. Overall, Sabor A Mi is a must-try for Taco Tuesday if you're not too far away. The highs were more impactful than the lows, and the pricing is great in 2025.

Second time at the spot, I had tacos last time this time we had the Chilaquiles I gotta tell you it's like I was at someone's house eating food absolutely amazing. This is authentic homestyle Mexican food. I gotta tell you the rice and beans are absolutely outstanding might be the best in Las Vegas breakfast burritos are top top notch

Food tastes like someone's great grandmother saved all the recipes on a PDF and shared it with the whole family. I was surprised how authentic the flavors were for something as simple as a burrito. The food is fresh and hot with every bite. The staff is friendly and accomodating. It's unfortunate people overlook the location but the food is 9/10.

REALLY GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE!…read more We got a SEAT QUICK! The staff was attentive and very hands on! I felt like we had a good time and we all, ordered different things! It was 4 of us sitting by the window overlooking the mountains We all got a drink We all got a good plate of food as well $280 total for 4 with $20 tip! It was for my dads bday!

It was around 1 PM, and it was clear that it was our first time there. We looked at the lunch specials and ordered, but our server never asked whether we wanted the lunch or dinner size. She seemed more focused on chatting with another server and didn't check on us. Other tables were also trying to get their attention by waving their arms. When it was time to pay, we noticed our bill didn't look right. When we asked about it, she simply brushed us off and said, "Oh, you got the dinner size, that's why it costs more." There was no apology or acknowledgment that we had never been asked which size we wanted, and the response made us feel like we were trying to get a discount. Also have to point out that portion did not look like dinner and can easily be confused for lunch size.. The view was great, and I would have considered coming back, but unfortunately, the way we were treated will keep me from returning. I'll stick to other places. Pictured- Carne Asada.

The inside is decorated very festive but a bit on the gaudy side. Nice music was playing. It wasn't crowded and not noisy. We were greeted immediately and seated. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The menu is quite extensive but we were able to make our choices with assistance from our server. The prices are comparable with other Mexican restaurants we've visited recently. However, they are not very gracious with their complimentary chips and salsa allowing one small bowl of chips and two very small bowls of salsa and bean dip. Additional is $4.00 and definitely not worth it. We thought it was ridiculous and if they didn't make customers pay for refills or give more to accommodate the entire party, they would be perfect! The food was hot, fresh and very flavorful. The portions were generous. They do have a combination fajitas for two but the combination only consists of 2 meats. We just can't seem to find a restaurant that does combination fajitas the way Coyotes did. But, they were absolutely the best we've had since Coyotes. The consensus was that we will definitely come back to this restaurant.

We used to be regular customers and came here almost every week since they opened. Unfortunately,…read moreour last two visits have completely changed our opinion of this restaurant. The first time, back in May, we ended up leaving before even ordering because no one ever came to serve us. We decided to give them another chance yesterday after staying away for a while, and it was somehow even more disappointing. We sat at the bar, where the bartender was serving drinks and tables all around us. He never greeted us or acknowledged that we were there. After waiting over 10 minutes while watching him take second drink orders from other tables, I finally walked over and told him what we wanted since he was already making several margaritas. His response was essentially that he was busy and didn't care. Eventually, someone brought us chips and salsa, and then the manager came over with another basket of chips and salsa, apparently unaware we had already been served. We explained that we had been sitting there for over 10 minutes without anyone helping us and shared that this was exactly why we had stopped coming. The manager's response was that she had only been there for three months, which unfortunately just reinforced what we've noticed for a long time--constant turnover in both management and staff. As someone who has worked in customer service, this wasn't just about being busy. It's about timing and prioritizing. New guests should be greeted promptly, even if it's just a quick, "I'll be right with you." If the bartender was already making multiple drinks, he could have taken drink orders from everyone, including us, and prepared them together instead of repeatedly going back and forth between the same tables while completely ignoring new customers. We ended up having one margarita and leaving without ordering food. That's now two consecutive visits where we walked out because of poor service. It's disappointing because we genuinely loved this place when it first opened. The margaritas are still good, but the food is average, and the consistently poor service has become impossible to overlook. Judging by the number of similar reviews and management responses, it seems there are ongoing internal issues that haven't been resolved. After giving this restaurant multiple chances, we won't be returning. I hope they can turn things around, but based on our experience, I can't recommend spending your time or money here.

Another five-star lunch served by a five-star staff…read more No, we gringos don't know what's authentic but we do know what is delicious and generous. Hubs and I came here often, like monthly. Years ago. In fact, we were such regulars that the owner gifted us a bottle of Tequila one year! But the older we get, the further the drive seems. So now we only venture here a time or two a year and yet, when Karina saw us waiting to be seated, she immediately recognized us and welcomed us back, saying that it'd been a long time. It made me feel at home, which is always the case here. I had three tacos, a la cart: Flavorful carne asada; generous fried pescado; and house-made chorizo. They were all so good. Four happy diners. And our guests offered to do the driving in the future, so we can return more often. YAY! Now that's a win-win.

My husband ordered the Molcajete and requested a #5 spice level, but it wasn't quite as spicy as we expected. The items were a bit pricey, especially the aguas frescas. We assumed they would be refillable drinks, but unfortunately, they weren't. However, I must give a special shoutout to our waitress, Flor! She provided wonderful service, and her beautiful smile was absolutely contagious. She truly made us feel welcomed and added something special to our dining experience. Overall, we enjoyed the good food, great music, and lively ambiance. We appreciate the service and atmosphere, and we will definitely be back! Thank you, Chile Caliente!d

This is an update to my previous review. Unfortunately it has to be the worst review I've ever left…read morefor a restaurant. After our last trip when we received absolutely crap service and the manager tried to make it right by comping us, she indicated that the next meal "was on her" and urged us to come back "and give them another chance".. I took her at her word and contacted the restaurant to let her know that I was going to bring my wife and her parents to the restaurant for her birthday. So I contacted the restaurant and informed them that we wanted a reservation for four and that was my wife's birthday. I was contacted and told that they would do something special. We showed up and the front girl was "perfunctory at best". We were seated and waited 20 minutes before we received any water or chips. However, the staff was busy bustling to set this large table in the middle of the dining room for a group that wouldn't show up for 10 minutes. They literally had their chips, salsa, water etc. 10 minutes before we did and we weren't even there. When we did get a waitress she was perfunctory and less than friendly. When I told her we were there for my wife's birthday her answer was "oh that's nice". Far cry from "we will make the evening special for you". We got our food which was fine but absolutely nothing. Throughout the meal the waitress spent all of her time chatting with the large group in the middle - obviously her friends or whatever because they got five star service while we were simply ignored. If we wanted to get a refill of a glass of water or in my father-in-law's case, some sour cream, had to literally get up and pull her away from her buddy table to get service. In addition, not a happy birthday, dessert nothing. So much for trusting the manager when she said that she was going to comp the meal or even at the minimum do something to celebrate the birthday. If we went to something as mundane as Applebee's my wife would've got a piece of cheesecake lol. Very disappointed in this place. We love the food but the service is just crap.
