Teresa at Placer Title is fantastic. My business partner has been selecting Placer Title in…read moreAlameda to handle most of escrows. Everything seems to go real smooth with Teresa. There's a few things I particularly like about Placer in Alameda: 1) They let you come in for a signing, and do so safely during COVID. This eliminates the expensive mobile notary cost, and replaces it with a $15 fee per signature. This is much cheaper. 2) Teresa follows up throughout the transaction. In real estate it seems that things get dropped and never picked up again until some downstream stakeholder asks what the heck is going on. This doesn't occur with Teresa. She's proactive and follows up. This gets transactions done faster and cleaner. 3) COVID precautions - they take it serious at their office. They have a dedicated conference room for signings. There is a separator between the escrow officer and the signer. And they cleanse everything like its an operating room at a hospital. Thanks for all the great work, Placer Alameda!

This is the most unprofessional and disorganized title company that I have ever dealt with. Just to…read morebe clear , this review is reflected on their local alameda office . I had some interaction with the folks at their Pleasanton location and they are actually a lot more helpful. I was suppose to receive my check from selling my property in Friday , I didn't hear anything from the title company until 4:30 in the afternoon and I was told my check was ready but they close at 5 pm. So obviously I couldn't make it to their office in 30 min in Friday evenings traffic so I was told I can go on Monday morning and pick up my check . I show up in Monday morning (having to take time off my job) and sure enough the check is not even ready and I have to wait for it "to get printed". Totally wasting my time for good 15 min for the check that was suppose to be ready already .

Professional and Reliable Property Management I have been…read moreworking with The Cal Agents since 2025 to manage my house rental in the Bay Area, and it has been a consistently positive experience. Key Highlights: 1. Exceptional Team: I've had the pleasure of working with Wilsen, Ahyeza, Chris, Patricia, Jana, Fiona, Nikki, and Ramiro. They are professional, attentive, and easy to collaborate with. 2. Problem Solvers: One of their greatest strengths is that they never shy away from a hard problem. Whether it's a maintenance issue or a tenant concern, they tackle it head-on with a level of responsiveness that is hard to find. 3. Trusted Partnership: When you are looking for a partner to manage an investment property, creating an empathetic and caring relationship with the tenants is the most important factor. They have proven themselves to be reliable stewards of my property. Pro-Tip for Owners: Because they manage a diverse portfolio of both condos and houses, I found that providing clear context on my specific expectations for house-level marketing and maintenance from the start created a great feedback loop. Their receptiveness to this high level of communication is exactly why our partnership works so well; it ensures everyone is aligned from day one. Overall: If you need a team that is responsive and capable of handling the complexities of the Bay Area rental market, I highly recommend The Cal Agents.

I'm honestly a little surprised by some of the negative reviews because my experience with Cerda…read moreZein Real Estate has been completely different. Of course, everyone can have a different experience, but I can only speak from mine, and it has been great from start to finish. The whole team has been on top of everything. Communication has been great, everything has gone smoothly, and whenever I have a question or concern, I know someone will respond and try to address it. I also understand that in real estate and property management, not everything is always within their control. Things happen, repairs can take time, owners and vendors are involved, and sometimes unexpected issues come up. What matters to me is how a company responds when there is a problem. With Cerda Zein, I genuinely feel that they are on your side and willing to do everything they reasonably can to help. That's probably what I appreciate the most. I don't expect everything to be perfect all the time, but I do expect people to communicate, take responsibility for what they can control, and make an effort to find a solution. That has absolutely been my experience with Cerda Zein. I've had a very positive experience with them and would definitely recommend the team based on how I've been treated.

Initially, I felt hopeful because they did make an effort to help me. I especially want to acknowledge Yosef and Richie, who were both very kind to me. I appreciated the way they treated me personally, and I don't want my negative review to take away from that. Unfortunately, my overall experience with the company became extremely disappointing. As time went on, the communication essentially stopped. My texts and telephone calls were no longer being answered, and eventually I felt that I had simply been ghosted. Finding housing as a Section 8 tenant is already extremely difficult. When you reach out to a real estate company for help, you are placing a great deal of trust in them. Even if a company ultimately cannot find housing for you, communication matters. I would have much rather received an honest phone call or message saying, "We're sorry, but we're unable to help you," than have my calls and messages go unanswered. I understand that finding a landlord willing to work with a Section 8 voucher can present challenges for a real estate agent. My disappointment isn't simply that they were unable to find me housing. My disappointment is with the way the communication ended. I am grateful to Yosef and Richie for the kindness they showed me, but after my experience, I was left feeling that once it became apparent that helping me would be difficult, I was no longer worth responding to. For someone struggling to find stable housing, particularly someone relying on a Section 8 voucher, being ignored can be incredibly discouraging. I hope Cerda-Zein Real Estate will improve the way it communicates with Section 8 clients in the future, even when it cannot ultimately help them find a home.
