!!Treat Yourself And Make A Visit To Their Physical Store!! I was fortunate enough to attend Sabbatical Beauty's Grand Opening Event of their brick and mortar store located in south Philadelphia. I was blown away by how warm and beautiful their space is. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive, ready to answer any questions about the luxurious skin care products on display and for purchase. The displays were pretty and encouraged interaction. I couldn't resist putting many of the tester products on my skin to see how they felt and smelled. It was heavenly! I highly encourage you to stop in at their store as soon as possible. Make an appointment first though! While you're there, you have the opportunity to do a personal skin care consultation which can be immensely helpful, especially if you're new to the Korean Beauty skin care routine. Go, and tell them Quin sent ya :)

Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful

Hands down, the best skincare I've ever used. I have been a devoted online customer for two years, and I am THRILLED that they have a physical location now. The online community is really supportive and helpful, and the products are bar none the best in the industry. Natural, high levels of actives that produce results. My skin drinks in these lovely products, and I cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks SB!

Two stars only for this one associate who helped me before. More on that later…read more... BUT ZERO STARS FOR THE STORE & OTHER PERSONNEL. Came in on a Sunday looking for eye shadows. The banner by the store said that they had some 30% deal going on, store was empty, and had two associates on staff. When I came in, they were loudly discussing how someone said something to them and how they were upset ( the usual "she said he said"...). I went to one of the make up stands to see what eye shadow it had. The samples had VISIBLE DUST AND HAIR IN THEM. I went around to more stands, looked at skin care stuff too. Really wished one of them would break from their drama & help me, but no. No other person walked in, I was the only one, but none of them paid any attention. They also never told me about that 30% deal. I came in here before on two occasions & there was this one associate, cute blond young girl, who would always help me. And I bought multiple things both times! And because of her recommendations I made a third purchase online. But this time she wasn't there, and those other associates didn't help me, and I really needed help picking eyeshadows. So I walked out without a purchase. I will not be back!

Orders are filled very quickly and wonderful samples are included with each order. Love this place!!read more

So far, with help and recommendations from their staff, I've purchased eye cream, eye patches, facial moisturizer, toner, and lip glosses, which all seem to be good quality. I was skeptical because I've tried expensive products (Stilla, Dr. Jart, Smashbox etc.) and nothing had ever worked. Luckily for me, I was quickly approached by one of the helpful sales associates who asked what I was looking for and gave me some great recommendations! She was knowledgeable, so nice, and not at all pushy. She had me try the two products she said worked very well redness and I wound up buying them both - a lightweight moisturizer and a skin soothing mist. I'm new to Korean beauty but I'm really impressed with these two products already (it's only been 2 days!) The moisturizer feels incredible and I've definitely noticed a slight improvement in my redness. The spray was a godsend all weekend on my sunburn and smells so good! It's in a great location in Chinatown, very close to the Reading Terminal market. I'll definitely be back when I visit Philly again!

In a rare bout of experimentation recently, I was all set to pull the trigger on buying some products from Glossier on their website when I saw they had a brick and mortar in Philly and decided to go check it out. And I'm so glad I did! Being able to compare different colors/shades and seeing how they looked on my skin made a huge difference. The ladies in the pink jumpsuits were very friendly and quick to offer recommendations and advice if you ask. My only two critiques: 1. The area right by the front door got very crowded. If you walk a little bit further in towards the back, there were much fewer people with the same exact products to play around with. 2. Some of the samplers needed to be thrown out (dried up, nothing on the bottom). I liked that they had a lot of swabs, makeup remover, and hand sanitizer on hand, but that doesn't really help if the sampler product is useless. They're running a promo now where if you spend over a certain amount, you get a free pink mug!

I love Target, and the Chestnut Street Philadelphia location is a prime example of how a major…read moreretail brand can adapt to city living without losing what makes it great. I grew up visiting Target in the suburbs, so discovering this location in Philadelphia immediately felt familiar. It maintains the brand's accessibility and comfort while smartly adapting to city life. The store is consistently clean, bright, organized, and well-stocked. The staff is friendly and helpful, the grocery selection is genuinely fresh, and the overall experience feels thoughtful and efficient. What Target does especially well is discernment. The product mix feels curated rather than crowded, with a smart balance of affordability, quality, and style across groceries, home goods, essentials, and private-label products. Their app also stands out, particularly the real-time inventory tools that make pickup and delivery seamless. More broadly, Target is one of the few major retailers that has preserved the strengths of brick-and-mortar shopping while still evolving for modern life. I suspect part of that comes from the company's Minnesota roots and the strong Scandinavian influence embedded in the culture there. You can feel it in the stores: clean layouts, restrained design, thoughtful presentation, efficiency paired with warmth, and an emphasis on functionality without sacrificing quality. It stands apart from most big-box retail in America. The Chestnut Street location embodies that philosophy perfectly. Similar to what brands like Barnes & Noble and Bloomingdale's have done with their urban stores, Target has adapted away from oversized suburban formats in certain city environments without sacrificing the core experience. The nearby location by the Barnes Foundation is excellent as well. It's larger than the Chestnut Street store but not a sprawling mega store, making it especially well-suited for city living while still offering a broader inventory and the convenience of free parking. Both locations feel like thoughtful adaptations of the traditional suburban retail model rather than watered-down versions. As parents, we've also been consistently impressed by Target's private-label products. Their diapers, formula, yogurt pouches, peanut butter, dairy products, pasta, and other everyday essentials have all been of excellent quality at prices meaningfully lower than those of many national brands. Target's Philadelphia stores demonstrate how thoughtful, adaptable retail can succeed in urban environments while preserving the core values that built customer loyalty in the first place. Highly recommended!

I wanted an actual in person opinion before dropping that kind of money. I asked an associate about a few options, told her what I've used before, what I was looking for, just trying to give context. It was busy, so I get that it's hectic. But she was clearly over it. Eyes glazing over, super short responses, that vibe where someone is already tired of you and you just started talking. She basically pointed at one product and kind of brushed me off. The frustrating part is I was already leaning toward that exact serum. I just wanted confirmation or a little insight. Instead I felt like I was inconveniencing her for asking basic questions in a store that literally sells beauty advice as part of the experience. Sephora is already pricey, so the whole reason I went in instead of ordering online was for guidance. If I'm going to get treated like that, I might as well just click buy from home next time. Cashiers were nice though. So at least checkout didn't feel awkward.
