I had the best massage of my life with Wendy last night. I went for a deep tissue massage with her (90 mins) and it blew my mind. She incorporates aspects of Thai massage so she uses her body to get leverage, she got on the table at one point with me and was even walking along my spine at one point (but had a railing on the ceiling to hang on to so it wasn't too much). Often I am left feeling like a muscle group or body part didn't receive adequate attention after a massage but Wendy got every single muscle in my body. I know that her technique is very effective for lymphatic drainage as I have been running to pee all day despite lack of water intake-- almost certainly my kidneys finally filtering all of the stagnant, built up lymph that she got moving and draining! Although everyone has their own style they have all been excellent. I want to add a review for Chloe who I saw today as she was WONDERFUL. I have had some really tight large knots and have had to check in frequently recently to to resolve them. My massage therapist was Emily and she worked through all my knots and sore muscles. She took the time to understand my problem areas and applied the right amount of pressure to help release all my tension and tightness. She was a lot of fun to converse with and created a very relaxing space for me to unwind. I told her I wanted to incorporate more stretching into my massage and she did just that! I have been here twice now, and it's as wonderful as other reviews state. The first visit was a holiday gift of a couple's massage, my husband booked himself a Thai massage and me a prenatal massage. When we got there the massage therapist that specialized in Thai massage and Pre-natal was the same person and the other massage therapist only offered Swedish and Deep tissue. My husband very generously let me have the pre-natal massage with Su while he had a deep tissue instead of the Thai massage he really wanted. While this was an error, I have to say it was the most incredible pre-natal massage (I'm 8 months pregnant) and I would highly recommend having one here if you are pregnant! Hubby was bummed about the miscommunication but still enjoyed his massage. As soon as we got home I rebooked him for a Thai massage with Hkwan Ha for a few weeks later and he absolutely loved it. I have been here three times before and always had a good massage. I think I had someone named Kary. She was not Thai and I think her name was "Katy.". She had awful body order and did not seemed trained at all. It was one of the worst massages I have ever had. I could not wait for it to be over. She had nails that kept pinching me and kept putting too much pressure in certain areas. I had so much pain this evening that I had to take some ibuprofen. I don't know if I will ever go back. However, the last few times I've gone I experienced massages that were very high on strength and power and low on skill. Yesterday she started the massage by standing with full weight on my legs and back. Every time she found a tight spot she just plowed into it as hard as possible. It takes skill not just brute strength to loosen knots. And I'm somebody who likes deep pressure!!
