Sad story of Endota spa Paddington/Woollahra If only I could…read moreleave a minus in this review this business deserves 1. I booked with a gift card & arranged the time & date all online & my confirmation txt was sent 24hrs prior.Taking time off Wk I arriving to be turned me away as I did not have the gift card with me. They requested me to drive home to collect it I thought ok bad customer service forget it & moved on. Sometime later I received spam via m@il & txt . I gifted the card to my partner & she went for a massage only to be told 50% was deduced for my no show Interestingly they did not physically need the card to deduct $60 from it Super poor experience for everyone concerned & a bad look for the Endota brand. As a footnote Coolangatta Endota gave exceptional customer service & we received a sensational massage & would highly recommend a visit.

The staff were very welcoming and the whole experience an absolute pleasure. My massage started off with a foot soak with essential oils and then my lovely Japanese masseuse made me fall asleep. The day spa atmosphere is very calming and it had an remote rainforest type of feel to it. The aromatherapy oils complemented my massage completely and I also bought some Endota products which are all certified organic. My favourite is the Kakadu plum face mask which is great for combination skin or dabbing onto the odd pimple! I would definitely recommend this day spa for a special occasion or times when you just need to get away and relax for an hour or so. They also do gift vouchers so its a perfect gift for someone special! :)

Spas typically have a relaxing, inviting, private lounge area (and some with extra included…read morefacilities like a hot tub, sauna, and/or steam room) for guests to enjoy before & after their treatment. This is not that kind of place. It's mostly only called a spa because it offers multiple treatments, but it's not a place to enjoy your day at. The waiting room is small with bright rainbow cushions against dull gray walls, so it feels more like a doctor's waiting room than a spa. The masseuse asked what focus areas I wanted for my $120 remedial massage, but she didn't focus on those spots and it felt more like a Swedish full body massage than anything. I've been fortunate to have several massages every year for the past 11 years, so I feel pretty well versed in the massage experience. When I asked as politely as possible if pressure could be increased, the masseuse paused and was silent for about 3-4 counts, then said she had been doing massages back to back all day so couldn't do it. Awkward. The rest of the massage felt like I was just being touched and going through a process rather than focusing on particular areas I came in for. I wondered several times throughout if I should just ask her to stop and leave, but I didn't want to get confrontational. The receptionist was empathetic and gave me a 20% discount for the unimpressive experience. That was nice and kudos for the effort.

Two words: Highly Addictive…read more If you struggle with addiction don't visit Alkaline Spa. Seriously. Because if you do your habit will not only remain, but will most likely be enhanced. This place is the purest of its kind. Lets start with the staff. Afterall, they are your first point of contact and the reason for my ongoing addiction. They greet you with friendly smiles, their soft and pretty faces singing out sweet "hellos and welcomes" as they encourage you to step into their wonderland of bliss. They lead you into a dimly lit, zen-like waiting room and tempt you with inspirational books and glossy magazines. But before you crack open the first page, they're ready for you...and then the beauty morphosis begins....

STAY AWAY from this place!!! I originally joined massage Collective when they first opened couple…read moreof years ago. When Massage Envy took over the business I decided continue with them as they have added an extra service which is facial. My 1st appointment with Massage Envy was a facial treatment. The beautician did peel treatment on my face. However, I realised 24 hours after the treatment there is a severe reaction to my face. Enough to say the treatment scared my face badly. I went back to the shop and was advised to put honey and egg white to my face. Couple of weeks passed and I later found out the beautician who did the facial on me left Massage Envy. I went back there and spoke to the new beautician and told her what happened. I also showed her pictures of my skin reactions after the 1st treatment there. She can also see the marks on my face. Massage Envy later just gave me ONE FREE FACIAL treatment for the compensation on what happened. While I had to spent my own money to get my face fixed. I even spoke to the CEO Justin McDonell. He asked to send him pictures that I took soon after the 1st treatment. He told me that he will speak to manufacture on what happened to my skin and will get back to me soon. That was August 2016. 3 week later still no news. I sent him another text message and again I was told that he will get back to me. Last I heard from him was September 2016. 7 months later still no news. I kept going back to have facial done and to get rid of the marks on the face with MY OWN MONEY. They convinced me to change the facial products as the current product I am using (Dermologica) only cleans the surface and are not as good as the products they have. Finally after 2-3 times being asked/told/convinced I finally gave in and bought the products that they suggested. I spent almost $500 on 3 items. Cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen. The cleanser was the WORSE product ever. Did not clean the face as good as my previous product. Other than that, you leave massages for the manager or the beautician to call you back but the massage never got pass to the right person. They makes promises that they will call you and they won't. They said that they will put in the order for you and will call you in two days, guess what? After week, you will still be waiting. They talk and gives you words but NEVER act or follow up on what was said or promised. Long story short, they have come to their standard, which is not that high. If they ruins your face be prepared to fork out your own money to get it fixed. SO PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

Of course, with all that heavy breathing, and moans and groans, you could be mistaken for well, lets just say, a willing participant in a home made vid of sorts. This centre specialises in both the Kahuna and the Lomi Lomi massage - both Hawaiian style massages with the former taking on more of a spiritual approach to massage, ie, connecting us to others and to the universe (thus the breathing and the noises) and the latter focusing more on specific body parts and a lot more gentle. I have had both prior to coming here and it must be said - Sydney Ka Huna Massage is by a long shot, the best for both. The therapists first start off by asking you what you want from this massage: is it to relax? to connect with the world? to de-stress? to ground yourself etc etc .. after you dress down to your party get up and lie under the sheet, the magic then begins .. the Kahuna massage is underway ... if you aren't so used to the breathing and the noises, it may take a bit to get used to, but you will soon find yourself making those same noises you were sure you weren't going to make. They pull and bend and twist your whole body using their fingers, hands, forearms and elbows. Before you know it, you smell the burning of sage and the whole experience is over. At $110 for an hr - totally worth it !!
