I work very close to Massage King and often go there to get a 30 min neck and shoulder massage on my lunch break. I'd honestly give this place 5 starts if it wasn't for the fact that the quality of the massage you get depends a lot of the person who's giving you the massage: I've had some amazing ones and some pretty average ones. It also depends a lot on whether the person follows my instructions and requests: you see, the main reason I often go get these quick massages is because I have a lot of pain on one particular area and side of my back. I always tell them to focus specifically on that area because it's where I need it most, but they don't always do it. However, when they do follow my request and focus on my area of need, hitting the right spot, I walk out of there feeling like a brand new human. So yes, I would definitely recommend this place if you work around the area and is in dire need of a quick massage fix. read more

Excellent experience! I was in Sydney for 2 days and decided to go for a quick massage while in the city. The shop is not as appealing as it can be but don't let this to trick you, he is such a professional masseuse. I can rate it as the best massage I ever had. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! My experience at this massage parlour was easily the worst I have ever had. I am no masseuse, however the masseur who did my back, neck, and shoulder massage was hopeless. Despite me telling her multiple times that I was in pain, and informing her that she was hurting me, she continued to use even stronger pressure and quicker motions which honestly felt as though I had done, or said, something offensive to her to which led to her having some sort of vendetta against me, and I can assure you there wasn't enough conversation beforehand for that to have happened. She continued the extremely painful massage on to my neck and spine. These are very fragile parts of the body and could easily have been fractured or broken given how vigorous her hand movements were, and her lack of consideration for the state of the client. This continued even as I was squirming and telling her I was in agony. Two days later, I have giant blue and black bruises all over my back and my muscles and am in so much pain I have trouble laying down. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY! read more

There are actually four locations for this place, so check out their website. It is a super casual, walk in sort of a place. It was a holiday and they didn't answer their phone, so I just walked down there and found them to be open. It is not a spa and not meant for some relaxing, therapeutic journey to reconnect with yourself. It is an a la cart, order as you need it, massage place and boy did I need it. I literally could barely walk after having done the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb a couple of days ago, my calves were so sore. Anzac Day is not a good day to find any regular service provider open, so while I normally probably would never have gone to this place, today it was my only choice. I am glad I did! You just take who you get when you walk in, and the the woman who gave my massage was very, very good. Don't be skeptical, this is a legit massage place and I recommend it. read more

Filthiest massage place in Sydney! I spotted small cockroaches in the room and the toilet. Plus, I got a one-hour remedial massage of rubbish. The masseuse guy had absolutely no clue, I don't think he's received massage training before. He started by caressing me (I'm a female) and I asked him to stop and apply strong pressure on my upper back. I mentioned I had some tight knots there. He immediately proceeded to push his elbow against my back without warming the muscle which can cause severe injuries. He did the same lame technique of caressing + elbow push for the rest of the hour and it was a very unpleasant and stressful experience. Please don't waste your money. read more

I've had many massages over the course of my life in NYC, in Thailand, etc., and this was the single best massage I've had in my life. I can only speak to the talents of 7th generation kung fu master Richard--he was magical. I do a lot of rock climbing and pulled something about two weeks ago. I tried to wait til I got back to the states but then developed a headache and vertigo symptoms that lasted 4 days. Finally I decided I had to try to do something about the situation, since it was starting to become unbearable. I can't believe I waited so long. 50 minutes with Richard made me feel like a new person. Thanks again! read more
