Last week went for a massage with a Korean lady called Hana (Hannah) and the massage was so rough and hard she had no idea on how to read a customer. The massage was so hard that I was moving and jumping that she did not even ask if I was ok or if it was too hard so the massage could be adjusted. I complained to the reception and all they could do is appologise. Even the extra service she became tired and complained her arms where getting sore and in the end gave up and said time is up. Then here's the catch, don't pay by card, they slap on a 10% surcharge. I wanted my comlaint to be escalated and all they said was they are sorry and accept the feedback and Jacob the manager would return a call to me. To this day almost a week after no return call. The massage itself was so hard that I ended up with buising for days. Avoid this business, they do not care about customer service, and it appears it's about money more than professionlism. read more

I stumbled across this place when I was searching for remedial massage providers offered by my private health insurance (why not use it if it's covered?). ` I made an appointment at 11am on a Saturday and as i was a few minutes early, I could not get into the building as the masseur was not in, so she could not buzz me into the building but she got there pretty quick. The shop itself is pretty small, with four private rooms and a tiny reception area. She offered me some water while I filled up the form. Ok, now to the important part : the massage It was AWESOME. Per the masseur, remedial massage is like deep tissue massage, so unlike swedish massage, there is more health benefits. Unlike a lot of massage places where each area is separated by a thin cloth/ curtain, there is more privacy in an actual room. The background music is relaxing (a little too loud). She asked for my problematic areas and focused on untying those stubborn knots. After an hour, I definitely felt light and refreshed (slept really well that night too!). I ended up paying only $18 as my PI covered 80% of it ($88 for an hour), but honestly, even if i have to pay full price, it was worth every penny. Haymarket Massage World is currently under half renovations and to tell you the truth it was the worst experience ever! The so called boss asked one of his staff to do my full body 60 min massage. Two minutes into the massage the girl had to leave to go to another massage appointment and the boss took over (great management skills). He was a minute into the massage and opened the door to go out and talk to the renovators and continued to do this three to four times whilst leaving the door half opened!!! And i was in the room half naked.. thanks for the privacy.. and it doesnt stop there.. his phone was ringing and he was picking up calls and texting while massaging.. such a professional, NOT! After all this awesome customer service he still sticks to not even a 60 min massage and insists I paid the full price!!! After he learnt that I was not insisting to pay for the $65 massage he started to swear in Chinese and yell at us. Ok, we gave him the $65 but in the end the boss lady gave us the money back at world square. Sucks to share a business with this dude. There are so many other options than to come to this place seriously. End verdict! Dont come to this place fellow users of yelp. Not even worth a star. read more
