Was not expecting this. I think I found my new favorite coffee spot on the west side (or even maybe in all of LA?)! Full stop: the coffee was actually my favorite part of the cafe. That almost never happens, at least for me. I had an iced oat latte with an extra shot so really got to taste their espresso and it was perfect - not too acidic and just the right amount of sweetness. Next, they have an outdoor space that's super dog friendly. YAY! Staff is super down to earth and personable. I ended up buying the banana bread and it was delicious. Rich, moist, and a generous size for a single slice. (Can be split between /for two!) I also liked the crowd. Seemed like a good mix of everything from young professionals, to surfers, to the corporate crowd looking to decompress. read more

Saba Surf is a fun laid back vibe in Venice with couches and a cute backyard area where you can have an ice bath if you choose. We hung out in the back talking for a couple hours and relaxing in a comfortable overcast day. They have polaroids of dogs who have visited! And the heart in the coffee was cute! Not having too much expectation on my first visit as I was thinking it was just a 'lifestyle cafe', being a surf-themed shop, I was surprised that they did serve pretty decent coffee with creative menu twist. Also I was impressed how the place really looked like a community spot with the barista knew tons of the guests and was very friendly. The place was also giving chill cool vibes with open patio at the back and plenty of seats at the indoor space. I got to try one of their special latte, which I completely forget the name, but if memory served me right serving something with salted maple. They also seemed to be quite popular with their coconut water latte and cream tops! read more

I have always passed this place and just thought it was a surf shop so I didn't think much of it. However recently I've had a hobby of discovering new local coffee places and this place was recommended. I took a chance and tried it out and man, it looks pretty cool. Gives a laid back surf shop\coffee shop vibe. Definitely fits the Venice/Mar vista vibe. Also the place is really dog friendly and it has a back section outside for people to chill with their dogs and enjoy their beverage. Lastly, the coffee. Went for an ice vanilla latte with cold foam and it was delicious!, only complaint was I wish they did bigger than a 12oz. For sure a good place and definitely will be coming here more often. Cafe on Venice across from Bluey's near Venice high school. It's 80% cafe and 20% surf shop with random clothing and hats. Chill atmosphere. Standard coffee options that are well made. A few pastries but nothing elaborate. No other food options. Service is always friendly and positive. For work, WiFi is fine and the music is not too loud. Inside is pretty comfortable although seating is limited if you want to work. Venice high kids can take over from time to time during their breaks. Parking on the street is metered or find a spot in the neighborhood and walk a bit. read more

This isn't the place for a coffee enthusiast so maybe it is geared more towards surfers who just want to maybe shop, hang out and study in a spacious environment. This place has been such a perfect new addition to the neighborhood. The surf/coffee shop combo has a fun energy to it, enhanced by the variety of cool events and pop-ups they host every week. All of the drinks I have tried have been excellent, and the variety of indoor and outdoor seating offers an enjoyable place to hang out for a while. I have been at least 20 times--probably many more than that--and everyone who works there is so lovely and makes you feel so welcome. They roast their own coffee--it's delicious and smooth--they use organic milk, they make their own syrups, the banana bread is so yummy, they have pics of all the doggos--I really could go on and on. A friend and I were looking for a new place to "work from home" and grab a drink. Unfortunately, not the best experience. Love the decor, as a surfer it's my vibe but It felt like there was no AC or it was broken. No airflow, hot, and very stuffy inside! It would have helped if they kept the doors open. The WiFi doesn't reach outside and the drinks were not great. If you do sit outside you can smell their trash bins. Not sure I'll go back. read more
