Out of towners, be warned - the other location of Rising Creek (on GPS) is no longer an actual restaurant, but simply makes and ships their bread. We made that mistake, without checking their website, and drove to the other location first. All of that aside, we still arrived at their second location with plenty of time to eat before heading to the football game. I ordered a simple omelette with sautéed peppers, onions and cheese while my dad and my husband decided to try their salt bread with gravy and eggs (think biscuits and gravy but instead of biscuits, it was their infamous salt bread). The omelette was tasty, but nothing special - the type of omelette I could easily make it home. My dad and my husband felt the same about their "biscuits" and gravy and eggs. The service was friendly and the girl was very kind and attentive. The space is simple and non-descriptive. You order at a little window and then take food to eat on their little partially covered patio. We were traveling with our dog and they allow dogs on the patio. We had sent an email to ask about the dog and the clerk responded right away saying the dog was welcome. When we arrived, he even brought water for the dog as it was hot outside. The clerk is super friendly. The patio is a mix of old unmatched patio furniture on a layer of mulch. Some of the seating was wet from a recent rain. There are fun signs around. We were the only patrons for an early dinner and found some dry seating. The menu is a blend of chimmichuris, burritos, salads. Food came out fairly quickly. The clerk brought the food out to us on the patio and checked on us later. I ordered the Tijuana Crispy Chicken Salad in an edible tortilla bowl. Wow, it was hot! Buffalo hot! Pickled onions, hand-cut thin fries, fresh mozzarella, fresh lettuce blend, cheddar cheese, and crispy chicken made this salad a winner in my book. (I could have done with a bit less buffalo sauce.) My husband had the Monte Cristo Chimmi. He loved the blend of ham and turkey and the crispy sugar coated chimmi crust. The raspberry jelly was the icing on the cake.
