I pulled into the bay and Bryan and another worker unloaded my aluminum items quickly, and brought me my receipt to go to the cashier. The cashier handed me my money and the whole transaction happened rapidly. Bryan went above and beyond helping me, as he even offered to recycle the cardboard lining my vehicle. I questioned the weight they had a guy go back and looked at the pile and he said he put it in a scale and showed me a pic that was only I think 158 pounds and said I got a deal I know that I had 400 plus pounds but they already dumped it off the skid so I was screwed so buyer beware you would probably be better off taking your scrap someplace else. What also was strange was tars on my truck was 120 pounds lighter today than yesterday I could understand a few pounds but not 120 pounds

I restore cars and motorcycles on the side, so I have had my fair share of those douchebags from other scrapyards. I am always surprised when I am greeted and helped by someone who bathes regularly and has a smile on their face. That's why I keep coming back to Midwest Recyclers. The prices are a bit higher than the rest, but their customer service and cleanliness speaks wonders.

Recycle Works is a convenient option for homeowners near the shopping/restaurant area at Highway 94 and Mid Rivers Mall Drive. It takes a wide range of household and office items. Check the website: You might be surprised at what you can drop off. Fluorescent lightbulbs, clothing, cooking oil, microwave ovens, and VHS tapes are less common recyclables the center takes. Two very common materials not accepted: styrofoam and plastic bags. Recycle Works has minimal charges for small appliances, electronics, and other items. However, I've left those items and fees weren't collected. The center accepts hazardous waste on scheduled days throughout the year. Check the website for dates and acceptable materials.

I…read morenever thought I would be writing a review of a recycling and trash company, but they do such a good job I was motivated to give them the credit they have earned. We have six, three story, apartment buildings with trash cans designated on each floor and recycling bins in the garage. This company has been so reliable and the men appear to be very hard, dependable workers. They also clean and sanitize our trash cans periodically and are excited to provide that service. Today for the first time ever, our condo management sponsored a shredding service through Always Green. They set up on time and we were not only encouraged to bring any documents that needed shredding, but we could actually watch them being shredded on a small TV screen on their truck. Yes an idiot puts his recycling in non-recyclable garbage bags... But, I can still put in rinsed plastic, cans and glass. Makes me wish others didn't give a emotional reward to people "single-stream" recycling... I know Missouri is far away from oceans and we don't get the message that China and Mexico is refusing to accept or contaminated recycling... BUT PLEASE TRY Look at the signs and do as they say. I am a big recycler. Why did I take a star away? I'm kinda picky and want things a certain way. I understand that when they need to pick-up a full container and drop off a new one, the style of containers may change. Over the past year, I've had not complaints. All the containers have been similar enough, that unloading my recyclables have been easy. That all changed with my first drop off of 2026. The new container did not have the large square openings with sliding doors. It had little port hole window type openings. Which made it more difficult to empty my recyclables into the container. Instead of dumping my basket into a large opening, I had to empty it by handfuls at a time. This station is suppose to make recycling easy, the port holes did not do that. So I took away a star.
