St. Peters Recycle City seems to be doing everything in their power to discourage recycling. Whose dumb idea was it to limit the ability to open the recycle dumpsters, so that bulky items cannot be depositedinto the dumpsters? This applies to both paper and plastic/glass dumpsters. And what about the inability to drop off cooking grease?
I, for one, am not going to waste my time trying to shove plastic/glass containers into a small hole. If I can't dump a whole sack full of said containers into the dumpster in one fell swoop, and be on my way, I will find the nearest open dumpster, empty my collection bag, and send the saved items to the nearest landfill. By the way, I normally come by to drop off stuff AFTER the center's business hours, when there is no one around to help with the disposal process.
So, good luck with this ill thought -out plan. You are helping to add more stuff to the local landfill, rather than to the recycle system. read more
