Just a snack. Yummy small container full of pesto pasta salad. Hubby got small bowl of clam chowder. Sat in the little table area by the cafe to eat. The berries looked beautiful -- fresh, bright, and exactly what you want when you're making something special and don't want to risk disappointing fruit. Produce quality really does make a difference, especially when it's the star of the dish. I also ended up finding a garlic olive oil I've been looking for, which felt like a bonus win. Nugget is great for those moments when you need something a little more specialty and don't want to drive all over town searching for it. The store was clean, well stocked, and easy to get in and out of, which I always appreciate when I'm just popping in for a few things during a busy day. It's one of those places where you can reliably find quality ingredients whether you're cooking something special or just grabbing everyday groceries. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

Ugh! I'm not sure what to say about Nugget Market on Florin because it's so good…read more Fresh and lovely produce, the salad bar is great, the bakery super yummy, the deli is kinda epic. In addition, staff is so helpful and nice. My singular gripe is the cost of items, but I also don't get a full cart of groceries there for the very reason of prices. Still, I love them.

I will say that "Nugget Markets" is one of the top leading grocery store chains in the greater…read moreSacramento area. Headquartered in Davis, CA dating back to 1926, they have been more of an upscale supermarket experience by offering top-notch customer service while being a forefront to the community. This includes empowering future generations, fortifying the neighborhoods, cultivating environmental change, and inspiring philanthropy. The location I am focusing on is in the Greenhaven-Pocket area. Located in a fairly sizable outdoor strip mall, this Nugget is located directly on Florin Rd and tucked in between Greenhaven Dr and the CA I-5 highway. As for this location, they have been in operation since around 2005 and been a staple for folks that reside in this area. Since I used to work only a 1/2 mile from this store (for about 3 years), I've frequented it on my lunch break as well as before and after work. The parking situation is shared with several other smaller brick-and-mortar businesses including a Starbucks, Subway, L&L Hawaiian BBQ, and much more. The storefront entrance is inviting and welcoming as the entire layout is accommodating while being easy to navigate for customers. I will say that the selection at Nugget is quite possibly the best I have seen in any local grocery store. Here you will find a vast array of produce (regular/organic fruits and veggies), meat/poultry, dairy, frozen foods, and a very impressive variety of beer and wine. However, their deli section which includes all varieties of meats, cheeses, and freshly baked breads is a real winner in my book. The hot and cold foods to go showcase freshly made soups, salads, olives, cold cuts, and meals that you can heat up on your stove or on your BBQ grill. I also wanted to emphasize that the sandwiches here are some of the best I have tried, better than Raley's/Bel Air and much better than what you'd order at a Safeway or Save Mart (all staple supermarkets in Northern California). In addition to the sandwiches, they also offer coffee/tea, fresh juices, açai and Pitaya bowls, smoothies, and much more. I will say that since Nuggets focuses on quality control, much of their food items are significantly higher than the competition. However, just about everything I've purchased here (whether it is pasta, a bottle of wine, or a loaf of bread) has been above average. All in all, the Florin-Greenhaven "Nugget Markets" earn a 4 out of 5 stars from me. Some of the key staple items are quite expensive and don't correlate with my budget. However, the customer service here is top notch while the cleanliness of the store is very well kept. I also wanted to add that the checkout lanes were run very efficiently while making sure every customer is well taken care of. And considering they are open for business 7 days a week from 6am-9pm, you can be assured that they will have what you're looking for.

This is everything grocery shopping should be. The employees are super friendly, there are enough…read moreemployees there that you're not waiting around for anything, there's always someone bagging while the checker works, there are NO self checkout lines (I can't stand self checkout), and you don't have to enter your phone number into anything in order to get the sale prices. In the rare occasions when I'm not able to find something I wanted, it's because it's something so obscure I wind up having to either ordering it online or making a trip to some hidden specialty store in the Bay Area to get it. I've been shopping here for a couple of years. There's another grocery store that's five minutes from my house, but I drive the 20 minutes to shop here because the overall experience is so much better. Today's trip really stood out to me because of a couple things... while I was at the deli waiting for the clerk to work on my order, at least three other employees came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I've been to other stores where I've stood at a counter for literally 5 minutes, watching employees going out of their way to not acknowledge me. That never happens here. Then I was really taken aback by how the peppers and mushrooms were displayed. The fact that whoever stocked these mushrooms took the time to turn every mushroom cap side up and arranged all the portobellos the way they are speaks to a dedication to quality work. You can tell that in this store, nobody half-asses anything, and the employees take pride in what they do.

Nugget Markets is basically the bougiest grocery store chain in the greater Sacramento area…read more All of the packaged deli foods perpetually look like they were chopped within the past thirty minutes, the bakery section looks like an actual high end European bakery, the floors are clean enough to eat off of, and the associates all seem happy with their jobs. This particular Nugget has a fairly large upstairs patio area with tables, chairs, restrooms, water bottle refilling station, microwave, etc. Lots of grocery stores in this area have a downstairs lounge area, but being upstairs (but still accessible via a ramp and elevators) gives it an extra edge. Plus you can't beat that view of the Mercedes dealership. The salad selection is some of the best I've seen anywhere, although they are very pricey at about $10/8oz (which is why I haven't actually tried one). I came here in search of some tampons that I couldn't find at Target, and was thrilled that this store carried small boxes of single sizes, versus the huge multipacks they had at Target. Thank you Nugget for doing a better job at procuring feminine health items than Target. As a bonus this store (like many others) is within walking distance of the wetland preserve.

They have a really nice fluffy, airy texture and a great flavor that isn't overpowering. They're not too heavy or overly carby, just the perfect size, especially with cream cheese. I absolutely loved the pizza bagel. I also tried their chocolate croissant and was obsessed. It had the perfect amount of chocolate in every bite, and the chocolate itself was rich and semi-sweet, which I really liked. The staff was super helpful too. I wanted to order pizza bagels to go, and they helped me set up an order for next-day pickup with no problem. Prices are really reasonable as well. The croissant was around $3 and the pizza bagel about $4. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're in Davis.

Review #1,021 Posted on 3.17.26…read more We came here on Saturday the 14th when in town for a soccer tournament in between our morning & afternoon games. This spot is located in a strip mall right off the freeway on Mace, it's the anchor store in that strip mall. This place reminds me of a Nob Hill, or Raley's, Safeway type of grocery store. You can tell a store has all kinds of good stuff when the deli is elite. This deli had a line and about 10-20 minute wait I'd predict when I was there, people ordering all kinds of different stuff from sandwiches to hot items they'll warm up for you, it was packed. Their produce aisle looks very appealing as strange as that may sound, I joked with my wife and daughter that they had a professional fruit stacker with how nice the fruit was stacked. Like most places now though, especially in California, cost of things is on the higher side.

When it comes to grocery shopping, the closer to my house the better. But after shopping at my usual local stores, I came to realize, how much I missed this Raley's in particular! Especially because this place still carries all the items, I just can't find anywhere else! The time came to shop for my dad's preferences for Thanksgiving. After not finding the main things I needed, this Folsom Blvd. Raley's came to mind! I was pleasantly surprised to find they still carried lemon meringue pies, fruit tarts, and 12 packs of RC Cola! Unfortunately, no Vernors! For my sister, they have these delicious frozen Gluten free layered cakes that she can safely indulge in. I also found a number of chocolates and other candies to make a snack platter. Even though most of us are currently suffering through the highest economy ever when it comes to food shopping! I actually felt somewhat OK to give in and splurge above my dismal budget! My drive was a little longer getting there and back home, but I may just make time once in a while to return to this store again in my future!
