I bought & fully paid for a 2025 Chevrolet Trax back in July/2025. I'm very happy with the vehicle,…read morebut disappointed with something I was not told about. I discovered that there are vehicle updates which require downloading & installation. Also, my free OnStar expired August 21/2025, which meant I had to subscribe in order to get what is required, AND pay for data in order for the car to have a "hotspot". All totalled, it was estimated that it would cost me $45.19 per month! Really????!!!! It shouldn't cost me another $45.19/month after I paid in full for a new car. I attended the Service Dept. to enquire about these "updates & downloads"., & was told that it's an OnStar matter. No it is not! Apparently, if a person has difficulty downloading or installing the updates, it can be done at a dealer!! Well, if I wanted a computer I would have purchased one. I sent a txt message on Friday afternoon, but didn't receive a reply. I sent yet another text & again no reply. I can't state strongly enough at how disappointed I am with information not provided to me. I have since cancelled the OnStar, keeping the basic which I'm entitled to for 8 years., & also had OnStar cancel the data. No way on this earth do I want wi-fi capability. I know what some may be thinking re the wi-fi, but Ive had 58yrs driving experience to know when/if a vehicle is experiencing a problem. Diagnostics are done at a mechanic or dealership. Cheryl A.

Disappointing Experience at Barrie VW - Would Not Recommend…read more I've had multiple disappointing experiences with Barrie Volkswagen, and after giving them several chances, it's clear that poor communication and a lack of accountability are recurring issues here. Most recently, I dropped my car off for a scheduled service appointment at 7:40 AM and placed the keys in the drop box, as their Google listing shows they open at 8:00 AM. What isn't made clear is that the service department actually opens at 7:30 AM -- a detail you only find by navigating through their website and clicking into the service section. By 1:00 PM, I still hadn't received any updates, so I called to ask about the status of my car. I was told that the keys were still in the drop box and that my vehicle hadn't even been looked at because they had already collected keys at 7:30. Since mine was dropped at 7:40, it was simply missed. When I asked why no one contacted me to let me know I'd missed the appointment, I was told, "We don't make missed appointment calls." Their only solution at that point was to look at the car immediately -- over five hours late -- with no accountability for the communication breakdown. Frustrated, I called the service manager to explain the situation and shared that my husband and I have had multiple experiences where the customer service has been terrible. Her response? "That's not a fair statement." There was no apology, no ownership, and no effort to understand my perspective. Instead of addressing the pattern of poor service, she dismissed my concerns outright. It was clear that customer feedback is not valued, and that service recovery is non-existent. In a previous visit, I brought my car in due to abnormal noises. I was offered a service, but it was not clearly explained, so I declined it. A few days later, I received a request for feedback, and I replied honestly -- stating that I had lost trust in their recommendations. I pointed out that the technician's own inspection video showed my brake pads were at 8mm and 9mm, which clearly did not require replacement. Only after I shared this feedback did someone respond with a long, detailed message clarifying that the service was not a brake replacement -- information that should have been communicated during the appointment, not after the fact in response to criticism. It's also worth noting that my vehicle is just over one year old with only 15,000 km, and I've already had to bring it in multiple times. That includes a recall, a reverse camera that stopped working after unrelated service, and most recently, the need to replace two wheel bearings. If this is any indication of how much maintenance this car is going to need, I'm thankful it's a lease -- and I'll be glad to hand it back at the end of the term. In short: Communication is inconsistent and unclear Customer feedback is not taken seriously Accountability is lacking And concerns are dismissed rather than addressed After several attempts to give Barrie VW the benefit of the doubt, I've lost trust in their ability to provide reliable, transparent, and respectful service. If you value professionalism and customer care, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

My daughter bought her first car here and is sorry she did. We bought it certified, but have had…read moreseveral problems in the 2 months she's owned it. First, a power window dropped into the door two days after we picked up the car. Nick fixed that for us, no charge, and we were happy with that. Then when we took the car for an oil change at our friend's garage, our friend said the car should never have passed certification because both lower ball joints were severely worn and the car was not safe. This time, Nick insisted on the phone that the car never made any knocking sounds during our test drive, and my daughter must have hit something to cause the damage. When asked how much the repairs would cost, Nick said he'd ask his mechanic, then never called us back. Now we are trying to have the a/c recharged, and the garage can't touch it because the Freon is 95% contaminated with an incorrect product, and must be removed and disposed of according to the county's hazardous waste laws. Edited to add: Now the check engine light and the throttle warning light have come on, AND the heat is not working in the car. It is a total piece of unreliable junk. Never again will we buy from Byron Graham Motors!

Literally just terrible. Total scammers. Don't waste your time or money here. Bought a car here,…read more"certified"... and ended up spending even more to fix what they told me was fine. They ruined my A/C with a foreign refrigerant, heat didn't work, Ball joints needed replacing. All around terrible and their customer service was even worse. Only responded to one issue and then never contacted me back after another issue came about that proved they lied about certification. Awful.
