The repair was done with a used rack. The workmanship was unsafely faulty. A bolt was completely stripped and installed backwards in the steering shaft coupler causing grinding noises and the steering to be completely off. The van was returned to me with the steering wheel upside down. ( It was the correct when dropped off) When questioned, Mike was insistent that an alignment would take care of the problem. When told of the grinding noise coming from the front of van while driving it home Mike made excuses " The dust shield might have been touching the brake rotor I did have the ABS unplugged so I can get to the steering rack it might have triggered it on but it we'll go It just needs the dust cover push back a little further". Mike told me that an alignment would solve the problem and it was part of an alignment to fix the upside down steering wheel. NOT! I again told Mike " They will not do the alignment as they say the steering is not installed properly " to which Mike told me they were shady and to take it to his guy "Andy " at Canadian Tire in Collingwood. He assured me it was safe to drive. At this point I was in Barrie, so 55 kilometres to get to Collingwood. I was told once again by Canadian Tire and his guy that the alignment could not be done as the steering wheel was upside down. I called Mike, he got very angry with me. He said he was " tired of telling me the same thing" he said he would do it himself on Saturday after previously telling me he did not have the machinery to do an alignment and returning it with the steering wheel upside down. He also told me it would take 15 minutes. On the drive back to Barrie the van made more horrible noises and I was actually scared. At this point I decided to take it to Marshall Automotive, a well established Mechanic with a 4.6 rating on google. It cost me $447.29 to fix Mike's incompetence. I did not repair the clock spring/ signal switch that he broke. I drove 110 extra kilometres wasting my time and gas with faulty steering, on Mike's insistence. When I called and texted Mike after the diagnosis I did not get any response. This Hack put my life in danger giving me a vechile back with completely faulty steering. The bolt was not all the way through the steering shaft! He also lied about the used parts saying they were new! Beware!

The car I bought from Fletcher Motors was about nine years old, did not have perfect paint and of course needed repairs here and there over the years, but it lasted me about six or seven years before I finally had to let it go to the scrap yard. I have since been able to afford a new car, but if I had to buy a used car again, this is where I would go. If you are looking for a new or high-end car, go elsewhere. But if you are looking for an older and more affordable car in the Collingwood area, Fletcher's is the place to go.

He looked at us and must have had the assumption we were all in a relationship together & he says "well none of these will fit all of you, you need something big." We were looking for something spacious as me and my husband have 3 children at home. The whole interaction was awkward and his attitude is NASTY, constantly giving dirty looks (to my toddler that was present as well) Though there was quite a few options, I believe one or two out of the whole lot had a sold sign but told us to come back because he would be picking more vehicles up from the auction, we came back with cash in hand, my husband stepped out and asked him how much and he gave a price, we asked him when it could be ready like hello that's a question anyone is going to ask. This man says "I don't know, get someone else to take your money" like excuse me sir? We were trying to do business with this grumpy man, glad we did take our money elsewhere because regardless or the horrible things we heard about him, we still tired to give him the benefit of the doubt.
