I had asked her if it was possible to be careful of the dogwood I have in my garden from a friend that was given to me for my son that passed. She made sure it was not touched & even took down his bird house & made the stump a beautiful place to keep it. I would recommend them to anyone having a tree taken down. This pine tree was huge & they cleaned up the debris & also made sure the huge trunks & branches did not destroy the lawn while taking them to the chipper. They were amazing to watch! They did a great job! Veronica Lynn King

This was back in the summer of 2021; I initially wrote a review on his business Facebook profile. However, he somehow managed to remove my review (along with several other 1 star reviews) and proceeded to block me. What I hired him for: leveling my property, ripping up existing contractors grass and weeds (new build), and re-seeding my lawn. What I got: a massive and dangerous drop from my back door to my backyard, a completely unsupported central AC unit, a yard that looked more bald than a 90 year old man, and tons of remaining weeds. In addition to the $7,500 I paid him, I had to shell out thousands more to have someone build stairs as well as a support for the AC. I will eventually have to pay even more for someone to come rectify the unlevel ground under my deck.

I retracted my last review because I wanted to give them an opportunity to improve their after-sale…read moreservice. I have to say the crew undoubtedly worked very hard and long hours. But the owner is a whole different story, we spent $100k on our landscaping project, he was very accomodating before the final payment was made, then right after, his whole attitude changed. There was never anybody answering the phone at the office, he never replied to phone messages I have left, when texted him with the requests, he said he doesn't like customers texting him and he blocked us from any further textings, funny thing is, he never complained about us calling and texting him before the final payment was made. The plantings have a one year warranty, the patios and stoneworks have 2 year warranty, but it was like pulling teeth when we requested him to replace the dead shrubs and repair some pavers. When he fianally sent someone "Bob" over to fix the problems today, he was rude and full of attitude, accusing us for being unreasonable. OUTRAGEOUS!!! $100k was not a small project, there are bound to be needing fine tunings and adjustments, that's what warranties are for! But according to the owner and this particular worker, the paying customer is considered too demanding to request for repairs on patios or replacement of dead plants. I will never use this company again!

He addressed all aspects of the work, including cleanup, what I should expect and when he could get to it. He even answered some questions I had about other trees which may need pruning, treatment or removal. He educated me to how I could improve the mulching method that I was using. There was no big sell, no fast, emotion-based judgments and his price could not be beat. He gave me no reason to feel like I had to decide quickly and was patient with anything that may have added to his time (unnecessarily). I was home when he did the work and everything he prepared me for "fell right into place". He was careful not to damage any of my lawn or surrounding areas, including attention paid to my neighbor's yard. I recommend Tommy Trees to anybody needing tree work done.
