This nursery put a smile on my face with all the beautiful, colorful orchids, air plants and assortment of cactus on display and to purchase. Walking through the aisles and noticing the sweet smell from various orchids felt like I was in flower paradise. I found out about this nursery from someone in an orchid society. Went to this nursery. Owners son walked through with us explaining the orchids met the owner. Very clean place. Orchids displayed well.order shipped back to main land. All orchids well packed. Blooms still alive.care of the orchids explained. Most of plants had name stickers. Enjoyed this place very much. read more

ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE DRIVE!! We ventured to their orchid farm as we were already in the area. Expected to see a few tables of orchids but were pleasantly surprised by orchids of all sorts, air plants, cacti, monstera, and lots of other exotic plants. I've heard of this place from their instagram @sworchids where the owner is always posting his newest plants, maintenance tips, events, and tours of his farm. We easily booked an appointment with him through DM and when we got there he took us around his entire farm. He seemed very passionate and knowledgeable about his plants. The highlights for me were his cactus collection, crazy ones I've never seen before, and getting shop a variety of orchids not all offered in distribution stores, like Sam's, Costco, and Home Depot. At the end, we stopped to feed the goats that were very friendly. We had a blast and will definitely be returning again in the near future. Made the trek from the Windward side to Waiʻanae. Made sure we timed it so we wouldn't get caught in the afternoon traffic. It took approximately 1 hour. Followed google maps to exact location. We went specifically for the mini orchids to give as gifts to neighbors. We wandered our way to orchid area where everyone was working diligently. As soon as we walked into an area with workers we were promptly greeted. We found exactly what we needed and it was a great value. Definitely worth the drive! read more

I ventured out in search of new orchids for my collection. It was such a beautiful drive seeing the pristine, crystal blue water and sunny Waianae coastline. As a local girl with absolutely no sense of direction I drove past S&W Orchids as I missed the sign on the left side of the road going mauka. I called S&W and the owner Jeremy answered the phone and was so gracious to drive out and find me. Luckily I as close by. Mahalo Jeremy! Walking in the greenhouse is a orchid lovers dream with endless amounts of different orchids as far as the eye can see. I was greeted by Delia who is knowledgeable and knows exactly where and what kind of orchid you are looking for. Delia provides great customer service and will walk you throughout the greenhouse to point out different orchids and provide recommendations and she has great recommendations as well. Delia will set aside your selection of orchids for upurchase so you can browse thru the entire green house. The orchids are well priced and healthy. In addition to orchids there are succulents, air plants and rare plants too. Delia boxed up my orchids and taped it securely and Esther was nice to assist me with my purchase and brought it out to my car. One visit is not enough to see all of the orchids and plants so I will definitely return. Highly recommend S&W orchids! read more

Q: What do you do on 4th of July weekend? A: Buy orchids! SHORT VERSION: 1) reasonable prices, sale table had $10 Phalaenopsis orchids; regular priced were $20, which were larger specimens. These were advertised on their Facebook page. 2) they take credit or cash (I am not sure about Discover or AMEX) 3) they sell other things such as Cobra Ferns 4) they are the vendors who supply the mini orchids to Sam's Club and Costco. Mini orchids were $15 at their nursery. I paid about $19 retail at Sam's for their mini-orchids. 5) Very nice, large vandas for sale, ranging from $20 to $85 and up. 6) if it rains, you'll get wet in the greenhouse. Q: When does Waianae ever rain? A: When I'm orchid shopping on a 4th of July weekend! Yep, got wet. ------------- LONG VERSION: S&W's Facebook page advertised an orchid sale on 4th of July weekend, with $10 orchids - a deal too good to pass up! My friend was the one who had alerted me to this sale and gave me the wrong address, so I ended up on a very scary, one way road that I had to reverse out of, praying that the chain link fence on one side and the parked cars on the other side didn't scratch up my car paint. I didn't think I was in the right place because there were A) super scary looking people staring at me at the end of the driveway, and B) it did not look like a nursery. One guy walked past my car and gave me a piercing look through bloodshot eyes and I was scared. I was even more scared to reverse down the long driveway and had to pull back in because a car behind me was coming in. I vowed to never ask my friend for directions again. He had reversed the "2" and the "4" in the address, which I plugged into WAZE. After that unpleasant encounter, I managed to find the correct address. This farm is across from a sod farm and there are signs. You pull into a dirt/gravel parking lot and go to town with your orchid shopping! It was a pretty large orchid nursery with a sea of Phals as far as the eye could see. Their sale $10 Phal orchids were mostly whites, pinks, dark maroon with white border, white with purple splotches. I managed to get a few $10 orchids and some $15 minis and $20 regular-sized for myself. I'm not sure if they always have the $10 sale, I'm thinking not. With Covid-19 derailing all orchid shows, maybe they needed to unload some of their stock. The phals were mostly small to medium sized, but all had single or double sprays of flowers, totally worth it! I'd definitely go out there again if they host another sale! read more

This place was absolutely stunning! Breathtaking they have sooo much variety of orchids and plants I was thoroughly impressed with how big their garden was. I initially came here because of Mother's Day and my mother-in-law collects orchids. I wanted to give her orchids she's never seen or owned something you can't buy from a store. When I walked in .. it was like walking into another world.. soo much choices and variety. I was specifically looking for foxtail orchids (honuhonu). I didn't see any workers around so I approached what looked like a house but the workers were inside prepping Mother's Day arrangements. They were very welcoming and sent someone to help me. I didn't catch the workers name but they were sooo helpful he helped me pick out the different orchids and explained which one we're about to bloom and which ones were gonna have many flowers. He was very knowledgeable and helped me so much. The only downfall is that most of the plants don't have prices on them so it makes is hard for newbies like me to know if something is worth it or not or possibly if there just naming prices on the top of their head. read more

I rarely write a bad review but this business deserves one. They ripped us off. I bought 6 orchids and later found the exact same ones at Home Depot, Sam's and Costco for less. They didn't have any prices marked on the flowers. The lady just threw out a number. What is the point of us driving to the middle of nowhere to pay more for the same flowers I could've bought at Home Depot Costco and Sam's? This company should be ashamed of themselves. Was a long drive from Makiki but it was so worth it! Had some sale plants that my friend and I scooped up and Jeremy gave up good prices on some orchids we liked. Will definitely visit again to check out what is in bloom to buy. read more
