From the time they opened to when they called us (or really my husband) it was a few hours. We were able to decline or approve what work would be done on the car. My car needed a lot of work. And we opted to get some stuff done as well since my car is almost at 100,000 miles. They said it would take a few days since they had to order parts. It was completed quicker than I had thought. We were able to pay the invoice online and pick up our car after hours. A few days later, we noticed something was leaking in my car. We took the car back. They all turned towards me as I was driving up the bay and threw their arms up in the air in disgust that they would have to do some work. They probably get paid by the hour so me leaving doesn't mean anything to them. But now I know, I'll just go some place else that actually wants to do their job. An isolated oversight might be overlooked; a pattern of this consistency cannot. More troubling still, these representations were made by the owner directly. Precision in communication and stewardship of a client's time are not aspirational virtues in a professional setting--they are the baseline. To repeatedly offer assurances so detached from operational reality reflects a standard of practice that is, at best, indifferent. We extended ample latitude in the expectation that the experience would right itself. It did not. Accordingly, we cannot recommend this business and will not be returning.

I can just text and schedule service. Second, they have loaner cars. They aren't fancy loaners like from a car dealership, but they are clean and they work. Thirdly, they don't talk down to women. I cannot tell you how many places talk down to me, acting like I am too stupid to know anything at all about my car. They are honest and give you a genuine opinion about the repairs they are recommending. You won't feel forced to get repairs you cannot afford, and that may not be 100% necessary. If you have recommended maintenance they will tell you it is recommended, and not make you feel badly if you don't have an extra $500 to drop on something that isn't broken. They are also a small business that remembers their regular customers and treats them well, which is why we keep coming back. Lastly, they are affordable. I have shopped around for many of the larger services that I have needed done, such as timing belt replacement, and Auto Service House has the best price every time. Highly recommend.
