I'm all about supporting local. We've been here quite a few times. It's fast food Mexican and you add the toppings you want. There is seating inside and outside. The biggest negative is that every time we are here the staff is not very friendly. They barely speak to you and don't seem all too happy to make the food. Not a smile or have a nice day! Simple is a place right near our house in Parrish. It has become a spot we regularly hit when we want something fast but fresh and tasty. I especially love their nachos and all the ways you can customize them. This place has changed and not for the good, They don't let you walk with them while you get your food made, they have a bunch of cups in front of the toppings so you can hardly see if the toppings look fresh or not and you should go over to the drink area where the lids holder is for cups, it is filthy. If the holder is filthy, you wonder if the tea containers are cleaned on a daily basis and the lines for the fountain drinks, those nozzles have to be cleaned as well. If that is bad, makes you think twice about cleanliness of where they prepare food. read more

One of the girls behind the counter had absolutely no personality, wasn't paying attention while making our food and had to remake my husbands twice because she didn't listen. Simple Mexican is a quick service like a Chipotle, but so much better. Every aspect is better: service, prices, portions, and quality of the food. You don't get the fatty steak like Chipotle either. Portions are larger and they always get my order right. They allow you to add veggies to your dish even if you chose a meat dish. My favorite is the barbacoa burrito bowl. If your going to compete with Chipolte then make sure your above and beyond what they offer. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. The young lady at the register was very rude and had a serious attitude. We are standing with 4 people and after making one order shes asks with a push away attitude "is that it?" If she dont want the job then dont work there. The salad was flat, the salsa was flat, food undersalted, kids meal was a joke, and the only thing saving the burrito was the steak. I will try this place again in a few months during the week to see if its improved vs a slow sunday. read more

The queso is usually on the runny side and tastes great but it is now about as thin as water. The chopped onion and cilantro were so hard. Rude customer service. We came here about 2 weeks ago because we were craving Mexican food. The guy behind the counter was rude than and we dismissed it as maybe he was having a bad day. Well we went back today and his attitude was exactly the same. We would not recommend this place to anyone. The small portion of food is just ok but it was the closest to my house. This place is fantastic. Their limited menu allows them to assemble your food, right in front of you, fresh and ready to eat. Picture if Subway had a taco / salad line. Yep, it's exactly what you're picturing in your mind, except they aren't pulling food from frozen, shrink-wrapped and preserved wrappers. This is all freshly made - even the nachos are made in house. I tried the hard shell & the soft shell taco meal - had steak and chicken in them respectively. They load them up with as little or as much as you'd like, and if you make them a meal you get rice & beans with it as well. Round it out with a drink and you're GOLDEN! Meals are all around $10 or under - have you been to a fast food place lately? Most meals are around that there, but this food is SOOO much fresher and healthier. The teenagers behind the counter mean well but never communicate with the cashier when I'm getting a combo.. They have 2 employees working on them while no one waits on the customers inside as they enter. They acknowledge you but say they'll be with you in a minute. There are lots of gluten free options here! Everything they make is fresh. Even the chips. I recommend the salad bowl. You get to choose anything you want to put on it, even rice and beans. The cheese dip is very good. Atmosphere is nice and the restrooms are clean. (This is always a sticking point for me in terms of liking restaurants.) This place It's pretty good. They are in the style of a chipotle. I got burritos and quesadillas for my family everyone had good things to say about it. The only critique I have is with their packaging. First off the inner paper was attached to my burrito which caused me peeling paper off of my burrito the whole time I was eating it. I think the burrito tortilla was too hot when they placed it on there and it stuck to my burrito almost translucent like. That was annoying and also when they rolled the burrito a lot of cheese and sour cream was all over the paper so I had a Lotta cheese and sour cream was all over my table. They should work on the packaging but other than that the food was pretty good. read more

Found a wire brush piece from one of those grill cleaners in my bowl a few months ago, decided to try them again recently and they changed their whole line system up. It's terrible and much slower.
