If you prefer Rona or Home Depot they are both 5 minutes away. This Reno Depot has had many transformations through the years. It started out as a Le Castor Bricoleur in Kirkland where the Wal-Mart is now. There used to be a renovation center in Fairview back then called Pascal but both morphed into Reno Depot which had to tear down the old Fairview cinemas which were on that very location. I remember it because I was watching a movie while they were demolishing it. What were you expecting me to say in a review about a renovation center? Lots of ignorant, texting, zit face kids work here which doesn't help in any way shape or form. They love to hide from the customers and whenever you catch one they will often refer you to someone else which you will then waste your time trying to find. I like to test them to see if they really know what I'm searching for. Whenever I don't wanna waste time I look up the items on line and call them (and others) to see who carries it and at what price. Do not ever expect one renovation center to have it all. Specialized companies have better quality and choice. Renovation centers are like a buffet at a restaurant; they have a lot to choose from but they are not specializing in anything. The hundreds of times I've had to come here have been often quite aggravating, but sometimes you can actually find someone  that cares and is knowledgeable! Write their name down and ask them for their schedule and give a positive comment to the manager if possible. Then for sure this person will be fired for being overly qualified or get a better job elsewhere or finish their doctorat in brain surgery. Ordered items on line through Pointe Claire store. Over 2 weeks and have not received entire order. Called many times. When I left several message in web order dept. no one ever called me back. When I spoke to the manager and I was told that she would look into it and call me back no one did. Will never buy from Reno Depot on line again. Be prepared to get shortchanged. Make sure to always count your money. Their staff work together and a bunch of scammers. They will always side with their employees and not the customers. Plus the staff have big egos and arrogant. I was looking for gravel one time, one staff directed me outside but it was not there. When I asked me to bring me to the right location, he told me " go look around yourself". I actually had to be firm to him and said "NO! You show me." Fking lazy self entitled staffs. Terrible policies! I drove 15km to buy an advertised item, Hedge trimmer with telescoping pole. $129 from $149. Great $20 dollars off just when I need the trimmer. NOOO SIR! None in stock, none had been delivered. Ok, Give me a raincheck. NOOO SIR! I must pre-pay in full, and wait until unknown amount of time when they get it in stock. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! No raincheck for an advertised item? Prepay and wait for weeks or months. Loose my money when they go bankrupt like their predecessor? No thank you. Too bad I spent more than $20 in time and gas. There was only 1 chair available and I needed 2. The employee said that there were some in stock. I waited for long long time... Finally I said to him I should leave because I have to go back to work. He said to me, "Do not move from here because we are taking it out!". There was no "Please" or "Would you?" or nothing came out from his mouth like any normal people do and he was ordering me saying, "Just stop talking and listen to me. If you can wait 21 minutes, you will get your chair. You don't understand how it takes time to move the pallet so just stand right here and do not move!" I asked him that I wanted to speak to the manager and he was saying he was the manager. I don't believe it. He must have some kind of problem speaking to the customer like this. I purchased a dishwasher from Reno in November of 2017. Machine never worked. Reno advised me the problem is the Manufacturer. I gave Reno Depot my money for a machine. I called numerous times and they promised to help and call me back. Never heard from them. I have never seen such horrible customer service. Reno Depot, Frigidaire, Electrolux (who owns Frigidaire) and Repair service Ateliers Paquette have NO customer service. After hours on phone and waiting for parts and service calls for a NEW machine I ended up with a NEW machine with replacement parts and the warranty is over. read more

I need a new faucet for my kitchen sink - very special, 4 holes, 8" centre, with the 4th hole for the sprayer separately on the right side. Found the one and only perfect product in their kitchen faucet isle. Perfect price too, only $44.99. Unfortunately out-of-stock. "Come back next Thursday, we'll have our new order in then". Came back this Thursday and found the order "not yet in". Was told to return after the new orders are unloaded. Asked the isle clerk instead to check in his computer if the item is in back, not yet unloaded. He did, and found that the item is discontinued, not available in any Reno-Depot outlet. Lucky me, I did not make the trip a third time.... Why, though, is the item still offered for sale in their display rack? Why would they expect me to come another time? Reno-Depot convinced me that it is the worst store in North America and it shall be avoided. Just to hit two birds with one stone they do it during my short visit on the 25th of October, 2014 a day ago. Their personnel lifted to art level the customer avoidance, turning their back always so cleverly that a customer be unable to ask any question. The same time they created from nothing an hour long jam at the cashes by blocking those who have even a single light bulb in their cart or hand. This defense against customers worked so well that I decided never ever put my foot in that place which is a sophisticated arch enemy of paying public. Even if you live nearby like me, go to somewhere else, you will be nicely surprised. read more
